I started working on our front yard myself but quickly realized it was too big of a job to finish so I called to get an estimate for my back/front yard and Alex was in the area. He stopped by for a quick and easy estimate. The next day I came from work and I almost didn't recognize my front lawn. It's been months since I worked on my lawn but I realized I just don't have time to worry about it anymore. Alex and his guys know what they're doing and I would rather pay for good services so I hired them biweekly. Very poor service - blow and go only. They rush through the work and leave. I have to tell him to trim certain plants otherwise it is blow and go for 15 min. Also, Alex has very bad communication. I always have to remind him to work on our yard even though we are on a once a month service agreement with him (poor scheduling). Almost a year ago, Alex had agreed to work on our yard for a specified rate each month. However, he recently tried to get more money from us when he saw that our yard had a lot of trash due to the recent wind storm. The rate agreed is a verbal contract - it is poor business practice to go back on the rate when the work is more than what he had thought. Usually our yard is very quick to clean but once in a while we have a wind storm that is out of our control. He should have made the assessment initially to compensate for these occurrences when he quoted us the rate. He is hired as a contractor - a contractor has the risk of loss if he does not quote correctly for the work in the first place. It is not ok to go back to the customer and try to make more money later and to terminate the verbal agreement. He stopped by today and looked at our garden, left, then texted me that he cannot do the work for the rate we had agreed on. Stay away from this business unless you want poor work on your yard and unprofessionalism / poor communication. read more
