The overall school atmosphere is like something out of a fairytale. From pick up to drop off, we are greeted with smiling faces, kind students, friendly parents and an overall feeling of inclusion. Academically, we were impressed with the curriculum at the PK and K levels. In addition to his normal class schedule, our son has two special-subject areas each day; one being Coding (taught by the amazing Rachel Kaplan). All special areas are wonderful, but as I understand it, MFS is the only school in NJ to teach Coding (which is the future) at the PK and K levels. We are planning to start our younger son, age 2, into the PS program next year as he will be old enough to enroll (age 3) by September.

He came from a private school in Philadelphia where he graduated top of his class, and won Pennsylvania awards for musicianship and was head chorister at his professional church choir. He is also now an award winning pianist and composer. His creativity was saved at MFS by Ed Robertson and Rich Marcucci - just wonderful artists and musicians. Other than that no one else seemed to care about his level of musicianship. During his junior year we asked for specific help about applying to creative and performing arts schools. During College admissions night, the guidance counselors admitted to us they had no process in place for developing our creative students' porfolios. After checking with Westtown School, Friends Central, Friends Select and Germantown Friends, we realized that MFS was really lacking in their ability to help our creative children. After spending $16,000 a year on our son's high school education we were truly disappointed in MFS's lack of help for our creative child and also their lack of folow up after the college admissions night. They really had no idea how to treat college applications for creative students. They only seemed to are about Ivy League level students and had no interest in their creative students. We would truly like to know whether things have changed. If not, I will continue to recommend Moorestown High School or one of the Philadelphia Friends Schools if parents have a creative child and live in this area. Renee Jones

He had three different teachers and all were excellent. Two left without notice or saying goodbye, and the third Naama was his last (any my favorite). The price of the lessons were 220 monthly for 30 minute weekly lessons. This is overpriced compared to other teachers/schools I have found in the area. If you want performance lessons, the price is way higher. I also found that it isn't a warm and welcoming place. No one would greet us, I hadn't had a conversation with anyone other than the drum teachers. It's like we were invisible. Even, the director (who has since left) would walk right by and not acknowledge us. The students were cliquey and not once did anyone say hello to my son, who is very shy and joined SOR to learn and hopefully make friends. Never a hello, how are you guys today?", from anyone. Lessons would be cancelled at the last minute and if I didn't follow up and ask for added time or a reschedule, we wouldn't get one. They were sure to take their fees on time though. If your child is not extremely outgoing and really good on an instrument, don't bother, seek private one on one lessons somewhere else. I suggest Gregory Tech Drum Center in Yardley, PA.

I spoke directly with the owner by phone. She advised me that she was at a doctor's appointment, would be returning to the office shortly, and asked me to text my name, dates of attendance, and where the transcripts needed to be sent. I immediately provided all requested information as requested. Since that conversation, despite multiple follow-up text messages, phone calls, and voicemails over the course of several weeks, I have received no response and have been unable to obtain my records. I am attaching screenshots documenting my repeated attempts to communicate. I am also attaching a screenshot of the honest review I left after graduating from the program several years ago. In response to that review, the owner specifically stated that she wished I had used my "real last name." Given that history, I cannot help but notice that communication completely stopped after I identified myself and provided my full name while requesting my records. As someone who completed this program and paid my tuition in its entirety before the very first day of class, I find it very disappointing that years later I have had to make repeated attempts simply to obtain copies of my own educational records. Educational institutions have a responsibility to support both current and former students, particularly when records are needed for continuing education or employment. Former students should reasonably expect timely responses when requesting educational records needed for school or employment. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

His framing studio is transformed after hours. He pushes back some of the displays and makes room for tables and easels. People filter through, bringing food and drinks to share, works in progress to continue, and art supplies in tow. It's a chill vibe and low-pressure way to scratch creative itches. Many paint, others work with other mediums like charcoal. Jim bounces from student to student offering help and critique, helping you figure out how to solve a problem you're having with your piece as you go. He has a room of art supplies you can buy from if you run out of something or need something else, which is super convenient. If you're new to art or to a medium, Jim has some trials and process to how he helps folks build up the basics. Everyone in the class has done them before graduating to painting. I'm nervous even admitting this because people may take up all the spots, but I truly believe in Jim's classes and know that many people also love his work for framing. Give this place a shot!

This may be a "starter gym," but we outgrew it, and instead of supporting that growth, the director made sure we felt unwelcome. She refused to communicate with us as parents, dismissed our concerns with a "this is my decision, that's final" attitude, and then disappeared for the rest of the season--completely avoiding accountability. What's worse, she had the audacity to speak badly about young girls--8- and 9-year-olds!--instead of building them up. That behavior alone is absolutely unacceptable. It's no surprise that our entire team, and then some, left TNT because of her. To make matters worse, one of the stunt coaches told my daughter and others they were "fat and ugly." Who talks to kids like that? Thankfully, Courtney--who is everything a director should be--stepped in and handled the situation with empathy and professionalism. She actually listened. That said, the damage was done. I would never recommend this gym to anyone. Not to friends, not to family. No child deserves to be treated the way ours were.
