The teachers truly treat our girls like their own. They are kind, funny, understanding and firm when they need to be. Our girls have learned so much from them over the years! Not only do they focus on driving home key social and emotional development skills but also basic everyday life skills. I feel like the lessons I am teaching the girls at home are well modeled at school as well. It not only helps with consistency for the girls but also reinforces what a "good citizen/good friend" would do. The program is great because there is an underlying academic focus that helped prepare the girls for Kindergarten and beyond. Basic foundational skills like the ABCs, handwriting, gross and fine motor skills, etc. are just part of the everyday without making it hard or difficult or making it feel like a chore for the kids. The projects and lessons they do also follow a weekly theme and my girls always look forward to what the next week will bring. Tiny Tinkers has been an amazing part of our girls' early childhood and I am beyond pleased with our decision to send our children through the program.

My child is excited about the projects they do and the fun games they get to play. It is much more than just a place to go. The teachers who work here are committed and caring. It makes me happy to know my child has a safe and wonderful place to go to while his parents finish up work for the day. Pro-tip: for those considering STEMazzzing camp for your child, be sure to register for classes as soon as you can! The LEGO, Sharks, and Minecraft classes go quickly. They also offer Physical Education during camp including things like Crossfit for Kids, Baseball, Basketball, and Soccer.

Don't waste your money! Started my special-ed 8 year old daughter in beginner tumble class. The…read morebeginner class trained for months leading up to the "Showcase" performance only to be left with a HUGE disappointment. 95% of the children in the showcase were age 5-9 and 5% were 15-18 years old. My daughter was the only beginner placed with the top level experienced teenage performers because the title of the class was "Tumble" and the teenagers were "Tumble 90." Accuracy is accepting that she trained in beginner group and was placed in advance group for the performance. Talk about being made to feel demoralized by all the work she put in. She did do great as a beginner, that is not the point. Your website describes this advanced class well, as attached photo. She enjoyed watching the performers throughout the night but "great time" is fabrication and words that did not come out of my mouth. Hence this review. When we got home she asked why she was with the big kids whom had special dances and none of the kids that were in her class? She was made to feel shame even though she could not express through words how she was made to feel a way on performance day. I pulled management aside immediately after because it was a hugely obvious the disparity why they couldn't figure out a way to put her with all the other beginners, this is where she trained. Why don't we put 8 year olds in a high school basketballl game? Having to explain this situation and advocating for my child, followed with a response, that as a parent I am projecting on a manner of simple right vs. wrong, is a complete joke. Also, tickets for the family to attend needed to be purchased in advance, which we did. Tickets were not collected at the door and many families were let in the door without a ticket as speaking to and witnessing them walk through the door. My child slipped through the cracks when teachers made assignments for this performance day. Every beginner was with beginner groups. I am the ONLY complaint because my daughter was the ONLY beginner with the advance group. When addressed with the owner, unremorsefully replied "she grew up as a gymnast whom performed with older girls." Completely missed the point of SKILL LEVEL on a showcase day. I will never let my daughter to feel this way and take my $1500/year tuition elsewhere. I post this so future parents can be aware of the many hours spent of beginner practice prior to the showcase, to then have them thrown in a random slot for performance day. Please save your money and go to a gym whom can structure their teaching and classes to meet your child's needs for performance day!

Mount Lemmon and the Catalina Highway, AZ. Early Dec, 2025. Mount Lemmon, the highest peak…read more(9,175') in the Santa Catalina Mountains near Tucson, is managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service as part of the Coronado National Forest. (Fun Fact: Mt. Lemmon is named after Sara Plummer Lemmon, an amateur botanist and the first white woman to climb to the summit in 1881. It is one of the few peaks in the U.S. named after a woman). Our objective was to drive the Catalina Highway Scenic Drive (27 miles) to the Mount Lemmon summit. This is the only paved road that leads to the upper reaches of the Santa Catalina Range, and is one of the most scenic highways in the southwest. Because the road starts in the lower Sonoran vegetative life zone and climbs to high forests, it offers the biological equivalent of driving from the deserts of Mexico to the forests of Canada in only 27 miles. Before proceeding on the drive, we downloaded a free app entitled "Mt. Lemmon Science Tour" by the University of Arizona, which provided excellent commentary on the Sky islands, rocks, life zones, water, forest, and fire, that was well-synced with our drive up the mountain as it evolved. This is a windy, slow drive with the posted speed limit of 35 MPH or less on most sections. Plus, you're sharing the road with bicyclists riding in both directions. The road is paved, and is well-designed with frequent pull-offs and stops that allow for vista views or just to take a rest. A few of our favorite and recommended stops include: *Babad Do'ag for its excellent vistas of the desert environment and saguaros. *Gordon Hirabayashi Campground (and Historical Recreation Area). I've reviewed this separately on Yelp. *The Palisades Visitor Center, with family-friendly exhibits, brochures and general information, and a small gift shop. *Windy Point Vista, for sweeping views. *High-elevation picnic areas at Box Elder, Alder, Loma Linda, or Inspiration Rock. *Mt. Lemmon Ski Valley, where there is a restaurant and ski lift rides ($). We were disappointed that the entrance road to Rose Canyon Lake was closed on the day that we visited. This is a Forest Service fee area. A day-use pass is $8 per vehicle, and can be purchased on-line or at the Palisades Visitors Center on-route. We didn't have time to hike on the day that we visited but there are miles and miles of trails of varying length and difficulty. While there are restrooms with pit toilets at multiple sites, but there is no potable water nor service stations. I've posted a handout about the area that I picked up at the Visitors Center. This gem of a park is a 40-minute drive from the north side of Tucson (e.g., Casas Adobes)…read more Depending on how much hiking you plan to do, you may opt to combine a visit here with a visit to Biosphere 2 and a stop at the Oracle Patio Cafe in between. The Park is comprised of 4000 acres of Catalina foothills ranging from 3600-4600 feet of elevation. The trails are well-groomed and labeled as to whether hikers, leashed dogs, mountain bikes, and/or horses are allowed. For our visit, my partner and I parked in the Kannally Ranch House lot and started out on the 1.6 mile Wildlife Corridor Trail. Running primarily on ridge tops between the Kannally and Cottonwood washes, we enjoyed broad views of the Galiuro Mountains and San Pedro Valley. As the trail turned, we spotted the transmission towers on top of Mt. Bigelow in the Catalina range. Instead of heading toward the windmill/Kannally Wash at the end of the Wildlife Corridor Trail, we turned right onto the Arizona Trail for the next 1.7 miles of our trek. As we climbed up and down ridges, crossing four dry washes, we were treated to views of the snow-capped Rincons, as well as more views of the Catalinas and Galiuros. We also met three horseback riders, who passed without issue. We looped back to the ranch house on the Manzanita Trail. This trail was shaded in sections and had more bushes. We encountered several types of birds and two southern Arizona coues deer. What a treat! We spent approximately 2.5 hours on this 5.8 mile hike. The $7 per car load entry fee, which includes a visit to the historic ranch house, is a deal. As with all Arizona hikes, bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen. From October-May, you may want to dress in layers if hiking early or late in the day.

General Hitchcock Campground is located just off the Catalina Highway. It's near mile marker 12 on…read morethe right side of the road just as you're heading up. The campground has a much more rustic feel to it than the ever popular Rose Canyon, and it is wheelchair accessible. Situated along a sandy and rocky streambed in upper Bear Canyon, the campground is among ponderosa pines, junipers and oaks. Lots and lots and lots of trees! Elevation is about 6,000 feet. On this summer visit, the temperatures were mild, granted the monsoon did move in a big way, which helped to drive temperatures down to the 80s. Overnight temperatures were in the low 60s. Definitely plan to pack a light sweater just in case. Also, the ground tends to be covered with leaves, making it soft. It is quite the picturesque site. There are 11 sites on location and from what I could tell all of them are under heavy shade. Each site has a table, fire pit, grill and their locker. There is no drinking water here, but there are vault toilets. Also no trash dump up so pack in and pack out. Some sites are located along Bear Creek, which is dry unless there is a ton of rain or snow melt. This place is ideal for tent camping, not RVs. Pets are allowed but must be on a leash at all time. Camping fee is $10 per night. The campground is open all year. Sounds like an ideal location! But I took one star off because the campground, while rustic and beautiful, does attract some degenerates. Be forewarned that there is no host on site, and people tend to go all out with loud music and loud noise (Screaming and yelling?! Why? Really, why?) well into what would be considered elsewhere as quiet hours. And there were beer and soda cans everywhere! Even found cigarette butts. There was even trash at the restroom trashcan... right at the foot of the actual trashcan, which was not yet full by the way. People, this is bear country. And our shared, beautiful natural lands. Please take better care.
