We have a 12 hour layover at the airport before making our way to India. This place has the sushi that goes around and you pick out what you want to eat. About 4-6 pieces per bowl and they have about 6 different colored bowls - the color of the bowl determined how much you would pay for the bowl (all bowls that were purple, for example, cost 4pounds). Since it is in the airport, I expected this place to be a little pricey - and it was. $8.00 for 4 little pieces of sushi was really not worth it. They had about 8 different items to choose from, along with 2 additional deserts. When you see items going around on the track, it looks like there is a good selection. But, there are only a handful of items simply repeated in a row. While we didn't order anything hot from the menu, other folks were ordering soup or chicken katsu. Sushi is served on a conveyor belt that winds through the restaurant moving past every table served on different colored plates and you pay per plate by color. Each color has different pricing and it's easy to go overboard if you're not paying attention. You can also order a la cart if the conveyor belt is not your thing. Just simply scan the barcode and the waitress brings your order to you. We ordered the sushi for 2, chicken katsu and a bowl of firecracker rice. The sushi was just okay. Chicken katsu was a bit dry. Firecracker rice was fire though! The shichimi chilli powder brought out the flavors in this one. I don't think I'll ever eat fried rice the normal way again. If you stop by Yo! At Terminal T-3, the food options at the airport were quite limited, but we came across YO! Sushi, which seemed to be a popular spot with travelers waiting and enjoying sushi. One of the best features of YO! Sushi is its conveyor belt, offering a wide selection of sushi, including vegetarian options, alongside the regular menu. We had to wait 30-40 minutes before getting seated. Once seated, we ordered from the menu and also picked sushi from the conveyor belt. From the different options available, we went with Chicken Gyoza, Salmon Dragon Roll, and Veggie Volcano Roll. The food arrived quickly, and while it was okay for the price, the Veggie Volcano Roll stood out as our favorite--it was tasty, well-made, and flavorful. Overall, YO! This is one of the spots I frequent when i'm flying out of Heathrow! I'm vegan and they have an ample amount of options for me to choose from. I usually get the avocado maki and vegan gyoza! The wasabi is perfect and actually spicy. The gyoza are a nice texture and size. This time I also tried the Yakisoba with the vegan duck (the gentleman who took my order recommended I get it spicy! ) Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture a picture of the yakisoba. The service is quick but do make sure you have time to wait for the food before your flight. I always think the set up for the sit down side of Yo! is cute and welcoming. They have a food conveyor belt and I hadn't seen one until Heathrow haha. Good lord, this place is awful. Not sure what happened. I ate here at the Terminal 3 location a couple of times in the past but I don't remember it being truly awful. I had one plate or conveyor belt sushi - a chicken katsu roll. Terrible. No idea who came up with this concept but it was bad. Then I ordered a chicken Dashi ramen that was equally bland with horrible noodles. That and an "unlimited green tea", I paid £24,75 - or roughly $35 USD. Wow. My experience was only of the hot rice at the Yo! To Go. I was crazy hungry and in the mood for something Asian, but also small. I originally thought I'd be getting sushi but their sushi ("poke") bowls are huge so I decided against it then saw they had some hot items and picked the Chicken Firecracker Rice. It was £7 and you can grab some wasabi, ginger and soy sauce packets to add if you want. It's a small portion but was the perfect "snack" size amount for me and hit the spot after not having any Asian food while traveling. This review might be generous but i was starving and the food I got here was exactly what I needed. But honestly it has a minimal amount of veggies and I did add 2 wasabi packets plus ginger to add more flavor but it's lightly seasoned with soy sauce and was hot and fast. My little family were on a layover in London from Paris to Los Angeles. Traveling with a toddler can be hectic and honestly, we were tired and starving at this point. We scoped the terminal for what's appetizing and Yo! caught our eyes the most. We were hesitant to do take away or do a sit down since our daughter was sleeping in her stroller and we had carryons with us. Luckily, our server named Justin was able to sit us down comfortably. This was a nice stop to enjoy while we waited 4 hours for our flight. My hubby and I stayed here for about two hours enjoying sushi, drinks and chicken wings. There's a conveyor belt constantly bringing sushi by - you can grab and eat. The plates are color coated - each color is a different price ranging from $2.70 to $8.60. We ordered the sushi lovers platter and kimchee wings. I also had the edamame, beer and rose. At first order must have been overlooked - you can order with a QR Code. After 20 minutes I asked our server where it was. They made sure we got it in a timely manner and apologized. We didn't complain of anything. Then the manager came and apologized to us for the delay. Having been to Kura revolving sushi bars in the United States, which is generally rated 4+ stars, definitely not for sushi quality but maybe for the revolving sushi experience that is quite limited and new to the regions, Yo!, without a doubt, outranks them in my book. This place is generally extremely busy. No seats are left vacant, so don't expect too much space while eating, for the claustrophobics. Therefore, outstanding service is reasonably to not be expected. However, as a solo customer, I was able to be quickly seated at the bar, sandwiched between two other customers, with limited space to flare my elbows out while using utensils to eat. In comparison to Kura, the Salmon Sashimi at Yo! was much fresher. What actually surprised me most was the generous amount of seafood I was given in the Spicy Seafood Ramen I was served. The taste of the broth and texture of the noodle were mediocre, however. The staff quickly attended to my needs and were able to get me in and out with plenty of time to make it to my gate for on-boarding. Yo! Sushi is a really solid choice in Heathrow terminal 3. It's FAST and they have wine, which are my two most important criteria when eating at the airport. The sushi was really fresh and reasonably priced. The thing I love about conveyer belt sushi places in general is that I can try more of a variety than at a regular sushi place. They don't have as many choices as some other places, but still really respectable for an airport location. And their menu shows colors and items so you can really figure out what you're getting even if you aren't familiar. I actually ate way too much at Yo! Sushi because it was just so good. We had a choice of a couple of spots and hunkered down for an hour nibbling salmon sashimi, and other various delights from the conveyer. I never saw anyone put anything back, the different colored dishes were taken and eaten and piled up for billing. We liked this option at a busy airport, Pablo opted for a large bowl of ramen. Too much sauce. 3 takoyaki balls for about £4. Total scam again. Low grade chicken katsu with from the box curry and soggy rice. Add all of this to crowded seating and dirty dishware. Apparently they don't have the takeaway menu items ready to go, so you queue with restaurant orders. So apparently using restaurant wasabi is not allowed. I left Los Angeles towards the end of May and spent two weeks traveling, going from Copenhagen to Hvar to Marrakech. Getting back from Marrakech was a long nightmare involving three flights and two four-hour-plus layovers, one of them in Barcelona between 2:30 and 7:30 in the morning. So when I finally landed at Heathrow, to wait for the last leg back to America, I was exhausted and hungry and for some reason, disgusting British sushi breakfast sounded like just the thing. I knew what I was getting into when I went to Yo! Sushi. I mean it's an airport chain sushi stall called Yo! Sushi where you can see what you eat as it passes by on a conveyor belt. They're not trying to pull anything here. I sat down at the counter at around 10:00 and started picking up plates. There were a couple servers walking around, and they were nice, if surprisingly slow, considering the food delivery was mostly out of their hands. The food was bad, but only as bad as expected. Everything was edible, if rather unsatisfying--I guess part of me hoped that it would be as good as grocery store sushi, at least. I did enjoy the variety, as each roll came with only two to four pieces to an order. The spicy tuna wasn't great, which was too bad, because I almost always love spicy tuna. The signature YO! Roll was bland but fine, with salmon, avocado, Japanese mayo, and masago. The dynamite was better, more salmon and avocado, but spiced up with chili oil and sriracha, with a little mayo and spring onion on top. The ebi was fine, too, deep-fried prawn with avocado, mayo, and dried purple shiso yukari. I also got the kaiso seaweed, a standard seaweed salad with edamame and carrot. Yo! Sushi wasn't the best or anything, but I got what I came for, which was quick mediocrity in cut roll form. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're in the mood for some stupid sushi, but that is a mood that hits me once in a while. read more

Worst experience trying to eat. They stuck us in a corner and tell us to go online to order. The Wi-Fi is hot and miss and keeps buffering in the corner that they placed me in. The people working there don't pay attention and when I do get someone's attention to ask a question they just walk away after answering. Their online menu doesn't sync with their menus they give you when they seat you. How hard is it to put a sticker over the pumpkin curry that isn't in their website to order but is on the menu they give you upon sitting. During a stop over in Heathrow on our way back to New York from Portugal I was craving some sushi after talks of its deliciousness with my friends on vacation. Excited to spot Yo! Sushi in the airport, we peeped inside to see conveyor belt sushi, colorful plates and funky wall paper I excitedly sat down to have a taste. Overall, the place is fun, the sushi is super fresh especially for the airport and the food is yummy. The firecracker rice however isn't that great and the chicken is fatty. 3.90GBP for 3 pieces of a gyoza is also a tab much and they messed up my gyoza order anyway bringing me two firecracker chicken rices instead. Granted they fixed it but still, was a tad disappointing. They also charge for water which is pretty lame and my lunch for one came to a hefty 25ishGBP translating to around 40 US dollars which is expensive for sushi for one. The space is definitely fun (check the pics) but I have to deduct one star for service and the fact that they charge you for water. Free refills or not, that's just a shame. read more

I acknowledge that this is not real Japanese food especially comparing to what you'd get in Japan. But for the location and convenience, this isn't too bad. So a rotating-belt-styled sushi in the new LHR terminal? Yup, it's not a joke! Before my 10.5 hour plane ride to California, I didn't fancy airplane food at all so I chose this light meal option between two people. Food quality: The food was surprisingly good and fresh. We had a small bowl of noodle soup, nigiri and simple rolls. Again, it is not really authentic Japanese food but it isn't a bad choice at all for airport terminal! Seafood udon was pretty tasty and it comes with a huge seafood selection. Price: £ 1/2 Service: Quick! The only complain I have was we were held up by a few leisure senior travelers talking up the host so we didn't get our a la carte order in after 10 minutes. Luckily, they had a self serving rotating belt so was able to tame "hanger" before getting our udon soup order in. Whoooaaa this was the worst meal of my life. What was I thinking, ordering sushi at Heathrow?! Food and service was truly terrible. I was queasy and needing something that tasted "Asian-y" to settle my stomach. The server was the worst server that I have ever encountered. She didn't give me a menu. This is an average-at-best sushi restaurant at Heathrow. It is one of those types where they put various plates of varying cost on a conveyor belt and you choose what you want. You can also order from a menu. The sushi fish quality was just ok. It was certainly not great in taste or texture. The prices were reasonable, for an airport and the waiter service for drinks and menu items was good. I might go back the next time I'm in their terminal, but likely not. TLDR: Overall this place is overpriced, has poor service, and is unclean. I would not recommend coming to this location. This meal was rather disappointing. Being in an airport, I already had low expectations to begin with. The food was subpar for its price; I had conveyor belt sushi and the chicken curry ramen. For £10 (being a large), the ramen had a staggering low amount of noodles, and too much broth for the noodles given. The noodles that were in the bowl were shorter than typical ramen noodles as well (the noodles were various lengths, from penne pasta short, to normal length), which might not bother most people but bothered me. The sushi was okay, below the average quality. Service was terrible, even with help buttons installed within reach of every seat. I picked up a couple of nigiris; the fish in them were not bad, but the rice was mushy and old on some of the pieces. Pretty to the eye, disappointing to the taste buds. Ordered salmon sashimi, chicken katsu, rice bowl, watermelon juice, and strawberry mochi. Best to worst: 1. Salmon sashimi- flavor was there. Texture and color of the salmon was okay. 2. Strawberry mochi- I've never had such gooey and soft mochi before. Apparently everywhere else mochi has a much firmer texture but here gooey is "normal". 3. Chicken katsu- tasted right but the actual chicken looked horrible. There's just no excuse... I should have read yelp first. I walked in when I should have known better. The idea of Breakfast Ramen caught my attention - but life is too short for bad noodles. The pork broth was watery and desperately required the chilli oil to bring it some life. The nigiri I had was fine but nothing noteworthy. Everything was edible, maybe a single star is too harsh - OK I'll make it 2. It will fill a hole if you're starving but you will pay for it. It's not cheap and it's not excellent. I strongly suspect there are better options in the terminal. It won't kill you, but I don't think it will make you stronger either. Yo! should take a flight to Japan, go experience how it should be and start from scratch. read more
