Inconsistent open times...Philly cheese steak was dry and kinda hard but the waitress was nice and pleasant.

I'm originally from Rushville, and just moved back here from LA a few years ago (which is why most of my other reviews are for businesses in Los Angeles). My wife and I love it here, but we miss the wide variety of food options in LA. But we don't miss LA's feeble attempts to serve a decent burger. Yoba's burgers (prepared personally by Steve "Yoba" Elwood himself) are...AMONG THE FINEST BURGERS IN THE WORLD! (I feel qualified to say this because I have eaten burgers -- or at least foods described as "burgers" -- on five continents.) The 'Yoba Burger Deluxe' is a half-pound of absolutely fresh, never-frozen (eat your heart out, Wendy's) Nebraska beef, char-grilled to perfection...and you can get it rare if you want! (They also serve great steaks, but I find steaks to be the burger's pretentious older brothers.) So, listen, if you're heading to the nearby Black Hills of South Dakota, or the world-famous Sturgis Bike Week or making a pilgrimage to the majesty of Carhenge in Alliance, Nebraska or otherwise wandering around the Panhandle, you won't find many food options (other than fast food, of course -- there's a Subway in most of these small towns). At Yoba's in Rushville, however, you will find a TRULY GREAT burger. What else do you need? How good is the burger? It's worth driving three hours out of your way, at least. read more

For being the only place to eat in town that we could find open, the food was very tasty. The place was packed with locals which is usually a good sign and all 4 of us enjoyed our meals which consisted of 2 burgers, a chicken sandwich and a meatloaf special. Welcome back to 1973. We were traveling between Loveland and Rochester, MN when we came upon Yoba's. Quiet, friendly, perfect. Andy of Mayberry was playing on the big screen. Yoba's is a great stop for bar and grill food. They have a large menu to choose from. Burger to polish dogs, French fries to fried pickle spears. They have something for everyone. Plus, their staff is very friendly. read more

Dined here quite a few times and had no problems before. Visited today, was over charged and told there was nothing that could be done about it. The menu says $4.50 for 6 hot wings, but I was charged $8 with the menu in front of me. Definitely won't be doing business here again. Customer service has failed me, especially having my bill slammed on the counter. read more

Just wanted to give some support to what amounts to as Rushville, Nebraska's only true restaurant left in town. Yoba's Tavern has been around for a while now (not sure on length of time), and with the old Food Bowl/Oasis/Strike Zone never able to make a long-term run at success, Yoba's Tavern has been able to make a go at it. I had never eaten here previously, so I was not sure what to expect. The restaurant is located inside an old building along Main Street in "downtown" Rushville. It is surprisingly big inside, and has a good vibe to it. I was very impressed, as the prices were very reasonable for a sit-down restaurant. Anytime you and your family of four can eat for $15-$20 at a restaurant as good as Yoba's Tavern turned out to be, you are very pleased. If you are a traveler, please stop in Rushville and enjoy the town. Part of my family is from Rushville, and it will always hold a special place for me. The town's population has slowly dwindled over time, and the current population of 890 people is about half of what it was when my mom grew up there. Stop and spend some time in their large city park... Refuel at Bosselman's and get a drink...... And plan on eating at Yoba's Tavern. You'll be very happy you did! read more

Customer service is poor. The waitresses will not acknowledge a female sitting at a table of men. I will bring lunch to this town instead of having such poor service. read more
