So far I am unable to determine if this store is open or closed. I have tried calling their number but the response is "Sorry the customer you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time." I have tried reaching out via their FB account using both response to a story and direct message and I get no response. Supposedly, they updated their YELP! Business page this month. Supposedly, they are open. I haven't been able to drive by there and don't want to make a special trip just to find out they are no longer in business or even maybe moved locations or are by appointment only. I am making this 1 star review as an effort to make it known to the owners and maybe other people that maybe this business is no longer in operation and their communication methods are either confusing for people or causing them to actively lose customers who can't reach them with questions. My son is reeeeeeally into pokemon cards right now. He has been here to YOcards a few times already with his dad and is always super excited to tell me about his shopping trip when he gets home. I finally got talked in to going with them this past weekend and I have to say, i can see why he is so excited and always wanting to come here. Number 1 for him would of course be the pokemon cards. They have the biggest and best selection here on Maui. Every time he comes in, something always catches his eye! Luckily, Reno, one of the guys who works here, is the nicest guy ever (Reason number 1 why my son loves this place, tied with FIRST reason number 1). You know how you go to some places and if a kid (my son is 9) is "shopping", they dont normally get good service. Usually they will either get ignored or watched like a hawk. Reno treats these kids so good. He was helping some middle schoolish aged boys when we came in and I was really impressed with his customer service. We got to talk story with him after the other boys left and my son was just asking Reno pokemon questions left and right. Reno is very knowlegable and has the patience of a saint (thank God!). There are tables here where you can play and check out your pokemon cards and the store is very clean, spacious and organized. They do have sports cards too incase pokemon is not your jam. If you are in to collecting cards, you really need to check this place out. Stopped by this card shop on our way to the airport and it was definitely the highlight of my 12yo son's trip here. It's cool to find a serious card shop on Maui. The staff was super kind and hospitable. Great selection of sports cards and many treasures among the singles. Not to be missed if you're into collectible cards. Mahalo ... we'll be back! read more

I am a mom who has a 12 year old son that cannot stop taking about how nice the owner of this store is and how happy he is that we brought him here. His review of his visit is below. Now that we are back on the mainland, I will be ordering from this store and having them ship cards. This is the kind of place you are so happy to support and give your business. I wish Edward much success! Son's review: My Yo Cards Experience (I know it is long but you will not regret reading it) My family and I were in Maui. I love Pokémon cards so I wanted to see if they had any shops on the island that sold Pokémon products. For the first couple days we were on the island, Yo Cards was not open yet. So, all I found were toy stores that were selling a single booster pack for 10 DOLLARS!!! Wat too much!! Finally, I got lucky to find Yo Cards. We went and the staff was super nice! I was looking for Jet Black and Silver Lance packs and the same ones that were 10 dollars at other stores were 3 bucks there so I bought two silver lance packs and a reasonably priced full art trainer card. We went back to the car and my little sister decided she wanted to come in too. So, we went back in and she bought a couple packs. I then noticed that the Jet Black Booster Boxes were a good deal and quickly bought one. I couldn't wait to get back to our condo, so I opened all 30 packs right there in the store....which was amazing because they had tables set up for opening packs. I opened the first pack and right off the bat, I pulled a Celebi V then the next pack another Celebi V my hopes were up for what was next and... I got nothing. But then on the 4th pack I pulled a Celebi Vmax. I kept opening and for about 5-8 packs I got nothing except a couple Holo Rares. Then when I was about to call it quits, I pulled one card that I had been wanting for a while... A FULL ART METAGROSS V!!! I kept going and then I got the regular version of Metagross V, then right after that I pulled Metagross Vmax which would have made me a lot more excited if I did not just pull the full art Metagross V. I finished opening the 30 packs and I got a couple more Pokémon V. We headed pack to the car with my great pulls in hand only to realize I still had the two Silver Lance packs I previously bought. I thought about waiting till getting back to the house but decided not and opened them both in the car. The first one was a dud but the second one was none other than the Ice Rider Vmax himself. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchases. But, I am not writing this review because I got some good cards. I am writing it because each time I pulled something good I was happy but also everyone in the store was happy for me. Each time I got a good pull they were all happy even the other customers. They cheered my scores and even helped me explain to my mom about Pokémon and that high hp does not mean high value. This is the best trading card store ever and you should definitely check it out.
