I had ordered a skateboard, I wasn't too sure that It would arrive on time as I had looked at the reviews and they were all harsh. If i'm being honest they did worry me, I had spent quite a bit of money on my package. Once I got the estimated time of the arrival It said to arrive between the hours of 13:30 and 15:30, my package was delivered at 13:34! Absolutely perfect. I highly recommend this place. This place is flawless. My package was secured well, no signs of damage in the box along with my package. Great work! read more

Absolutely appaulling company. Total incompetence in their business. How are they still trading? Zero customer service. 'Om' on Webchat told me to ring a phone number, I rang the number and it's literally just an automated tracking line that does nothing but tell you the same vague update as shown online. Not once have I been able to speak to a human. My parcels have been held by them for 3 weeks! And they are still unable to tell me when they will even attempt delivery. It won't give me the option to collect from the store 20 miles away, even if that is such an inconvenience to me at least I'd still have my parcel eventually. Useless company. I will avoid them like the plague whenever I can. I wish online traders took note of these reviews. I'd happily pay a little more of a delivery fee if it means avoiding Yodel completely. Can't even give a zero star review but trust me I want to. read more

aggressive delivery driver. ignored delivery instructions and signage, let himself into a restricted area, climbed on to a fragile roof, started banging on my windows, then proceeded to swear at me and threw the package at me, it landed in the mud. completely unacceptable, I'm very shaken, and I can't get through to yodel to make them aware that they sent an aggressive and volatile man to my address. I have cameras, if I can't get through to yodel will I just call the police?! read more

Driver 'apparently' delivered the parcel to a collection locker yet the collection code gives error message and won't release the parcel. Chased up with depot AND customer services no one seems to be able to help and can't be bothered. The same delivery drivers from carrickfergus depot who have scanned parcels as delivered and taken them home in their vans overnight, the same carrickfergus drivers who will slash parcels open to see if there's anything worth taking. Doubtful that my parcel was ever delivered more likely away home with one of the drivers read more

My package arrived at Yodel's depot on 22/5. On 23/5 at 1.30pm Yodel's tracking updated to say it was out for delivery. I rearranged my afternoon and waited in for Yodel to arrive. At 3.30 Yodel's website updated the status of my parcel to reflect that Yodel had called at my property but I wasn't there, and that Yodel had left a card. Except I was at home, nobody from Yodel knocked or buzzed or rang, and there was no card. Twelve days later, Yodel have still not delivered my parcel. Yodel's tracking shows the parcel status as "in transit" as of 29/5. I have made one phone call to Yodel, had six online chats with Yodel's chat-based "customer service", emailed Yodel's social media escalation team as Yodel requested after I left Yodel a bad review on TrustPilot, and at the request of Yodel's Twitter account, sent Yodel a Twitter DM which Yodel have not answered despite my sending it to Yodel six days ago and chasing it with Yodel once a day since then. Will be in touch with the Ombudsman. For anyone else considering contact retailadr dot org dot UK slash delivery-couriers read more

Another bad review for Yodel, I've been waiting for nearly a week for a package to come from Sheffield to Belfast. According to Yodel's website, the package took a day to get from Sheffield to Oldham, lounged about in Oldham for a day, got itself to Carrickfergus last night, then magically transported itself to Omagh this morning, Think about it, a parcel due to be delivered to Belfast, from Carrick (7 miles away) ends up in Omagh (75 miles away), to add insult to injury, the bloody thing must have practically passed within a few hundred metres of me to do so. Seriously, if you need something delivered use anyone but Yodel, I've a customer ready to cancel an order worth several hundred pounds, with the possibility of repeat business after that, all because Yodel seem to send your stuff on some sort of Magical Mystery Tour, I would have happily collected the bloody thing from Carrick if Yodel had allowed it. Having had stuff delivered by a spide in a battered Clio supposedly subcontracted to Yodel in the past, it wouldn't surprise me if some Culchie was hammering along the road to Gortin with my parcel in the boot of his badly remapped Bora TDi. To put it in perspective, I ordered some stuff on Wednesday from a company in Oxford who use one of Yodel's competitors, it was on the doorstep yesterday and with the customer an hour later. Seriously folks, unless you need the bloody thing six months after you order it, don't use anybody who delivers goods via Yodel. No wonder they're nicknamed No-Del. read more

Couldnt Agree More Paul G. Yodel (HDNL) lost my parcel and they didnt even have the customer awareness to let me know. After quite a bit of detective work i found a so called customer services number but the person on the other end was not helpful. I had to contact Amazon & have them look into it for me. But Amazon were told that Yodel did not know what happened to my parcel! HDNL had such appalling reviews that they changed the name of their business to Yodel but they are still a shoddy & unprofessional outfit that you will often see on the BBC Watchdog Programme. Why do companies like Amazon use these cowboys, surely it looks bad on them as well ! IN RESPONSE TO A REPLY FROM YODEL TO THIS REVIEW. Thanks for your reply Chloe but its too late for me now. Ive been refunded for my lost parcel by Amazon & have put this down to another bad experience. I will not use any future supplier who uses Yodel as a delivery option. Yodel needs to have a look on the internet and absorb the incredible amount of negative reviews about HDNL / Yodel customer failures, its one of the most badly rated companies i have ever personally come across. Will Yodel still be competing next year or in 5 years time? I very much doubt it. If i was a company needing to use a courier i would not go anywhere near HDNL/Yodel. read more

Absolute shower of ****. They failed to locate my address twice, then allegedly carded my address twice, despite being nowhere near. The staff are poorly trained and cut you off. I've sent over 3 hours on the gone to them on the last 4 days. A manager was allegedly phoning me back after sealing to the depot, the didn't and 90 minutes later when I phoned he'd gone home. I'm still waiting 2 days later, I've spoken to two further senior call agents since. Both have done nothing, bar deliver false promises. They are the biggest bunch of cowboys ever, and are putting small businesses at risk due to not delivering their parcels. read more

This is the worst delivery/courier service I've ever encountered! (although there's another which comes close to being as bad which will be getting reviewed in the coming months...). When I'm ordering off ebay I try to find out if they use Yodel. If the seller does use Yodel, I won't order from them. Here's why... Yodel have a process whereby they try to deliver your items on three consecutive days (excluding Sundays). I got home from work to a Yodel card that they leave informing you that they tried to deliver something, which had the time of 16:05. It was unfortunate since I get home at 16:30, but that's no-one's fault. I see on their card that they will try again to deliver the next day. I call the contact number which is an automated system asking me for a reference or tracking number. In this instance, my card from Yodel has neither of these. The system won't let me proceed, so I have to enter random digits that do not exist as a tracking or reference number. Because it doesn't recognise the number, it then has to put you through to someone. I then get speaking to an idiot, sorry, customer service representative. Me: "Hi I had a card from yourselves and just wanted to let you know that the earliest it is physically possible for me to arrive home from work is 16:30, so there's no point in a driver calling before that." Yodel: "We can't tell drivers to deliver at specific times." Me: "I understand, but what I'm saying is that it's Tuesday, so if he tries to deliver tomorrow and Thursday before 16:30, I won't be here. That means he'll have tried three times and I'll have to drive to Carrickfergus. I'm just saying that if you could let him know there's no point wasting his time coming here as there won't be anyone here, then that would be more sensible." Yodel: "We can't do that." Me: "How come?" Yodel: "We can't give them specific times to deliver." Me: "I fully understand that, but I'm not asking you to give him a specific time to deliver, I'm asking you to tell him that if he comes before 16:30 he's going to have a wasted journey, so he should leave it til another day." Yodel: "Do you want me to change it to be delivered on Saturday?" Me: "If he's never going to come after 16:30 during the week when I'm not home from work then, yes, change it to Saturday please." The employee then informed me that I would just have to stay in on Saturday until the delivery came. She couldn't say if it would be a.m. or p.m. I had to waste a Saturday sitting there until 16:50 (which, ironically, would've been perfect during the week) when it came. Not only was that a total waste of my day off, but here's the real idiocy - if you aren't in when they call to deliver, you get a text message almost immediately to tell you they tried to deliver and would try again tomorrow. Why not change the system so that you get a text message saying "our Yodel driver will be at your address with your delivery in approximately 45 minutes". Would this not make infinitely more sense?? Or is it too logical to be worthy of consideration? Obviously the driver hits a button to say they called but no-one was there, and that's how you get the text, so why not have them hit the button when they're three deliveries away from you to say they'll be with you in approximately 45 minutes? I have another example of how abysmal Yodel are, but I think this review highlights the main points. read more

Say they left a card with details of address parcel is left at. No card was left. Company I bought product from and paid for 48hr delivery told me its delivered to house 65 when I called nothing delivered to her as she was away on holiday now can't even get to speak to someone in yodel as automated service needs number of card I didn't get and ends call when you can't give it. Crap service. This is not the 1st time either read more

Dreadful service . No tracking information available and vendor had to forward their tracking info which was in German. Despite receiving this and link to German tracking site it did not state parcel was out for delivery on Friday 9/2/18. It showed as being with customs. On receipt of card stating failed delivery attempt due to no safe place for courier to leave item (which would easily fit through letterbox????). I left a clear note on door advising courier I am deaf / cannot hear door/ have 24 hour cctv recording as evidence item left. Today courier changed reason why it could not be left was due to a signature from myself or a neighbour being required. ( why would a neighbours signature suffice as proof of delivery is beyond comprehension and defeats purpose of requiring a signature at all). Contact details to arrange redelivery are via telephone (duh) as inaccessible via website. Have Yodel not heard of reasonable adjustments under DDA1995 as amended 2008. Or do they believe as a service provider this statue does not include them?. I have now had to get someone to phone on my behalf to arrange for me to collect my own parcel from depot which is miles from where I live. Forcing me to collect my own parcel is not a reasonable adjustment under DDA1995. Its a waste of my time as well as the expense incurred paying for petrol which won't be reimbursed by Yodel. To add insult to injury on another occasion an electrical item was dumped at side of house in the pouring rain! Well done Yodel you've cocked up yet again. The worst courier I have ever encountered. I would like to give 5 stars for the service provided by my LOCAL Carrickfergus depot but I cannot due to the appalling customer service I received from Yodel's main automated service; webchat and telecentre. I had missed two 8.00am deliveries and desperately needed my parcel before tomorrow. There was no common sense shown by the main company - they just wouldn't provide me with Carrickfergus's depot telephone number. I did however manage to hail down a local Yodel driver who was courteous and understanding of my situation. He phoned the local depot and their manager Rickie personally delivered the parcel this afternoon. Now that's GOOD service - why don't main office realise that the bulk of their negative feedback could be minimised by customers dealing directly with their local depot. It probably would be cheaper too!! Many thanks Rickie; Ian and Lyndsay it was much appreciated!! read more

Why is this company still trading? I try to avoid using any suppliers that still use Yodel. The four or five times over the last two years I have been unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end (or not as the case is), they manage to prove time after time they are completely useless as a courier. Last year they were due to deliver a laptop to my work address which they said didn't exist and returned the laptop to the supplier, despite the building being in the middle of a city centre and over 100 years old! You can imagine my annoyance of learning that Tesco Mobile use them for delivery of contract phones. Advised by Yodel my phone would be delivered yesterday, took the day off from work only to learn at 6pm the phone had been returned to the service centre! Online tracking states 'delivery not attempted' and chat unable to give a reason as to why. Goodbye Tesco Mobile it would of been nice if you could of used a reliable courier. read more

I have waited over a month to have a small ebay item delivered. I was provided with tracking but no tracking number worked on the yodel automated phone system and because of this the call was ended and there seemed to be no way of actually speaking to someone. It was clear that this item was never going to get to me. I have now received a refund from ebay as it looks like it is lost. I will never again buy from anywhere that uses this company to deliver. read more

Still waiting for a parcel I ordered last Friday. (Estimated day was Monday, then changed to Wednesday). This was supposed to be express delivery. I have been waiiting in all day to see if it arrives. I cannot contact yodel chat, as always says busy, I tried a number thinking I would be able to speak to a real person, but instead got an automated message. My phone bill is probably going to be ridiculous because of the call. All I want to know is a rough time when they will deliver! Does anyone have a 'real' number to speak to a 'real' person at the Carrickfergus office? Its very frustrating. read more

The Yodel delivery van drove up the lane past my house, and then drove back down. I checked the tracking on line and it said that he was unable to gain access to the property. The front gates were open and my partner was in the house waiting on the delivery. Somebody must be telling tall stories to save themselves any bother, even when they drive past your door. read more
