For the soft serves, you can either order their preset flavours and just choose your size. Or you can customize your own - you can choose your ice cream base (the last time i saw vanilla/blueberry/orange ice cream) and they swirl the ice cream into the cone, and they call your name, and then you choose what you want your ice cream to be dipped into- there are a lot of flavours!! I usually get the bebe sized ice creams and I always find it more than enough as the chocolate coating makes it bigger than it really is. The first time, I got the a vanilla ice cream base, with cookies and cream as my dip. I found that WAY too sweet, and I also thought that the cookies and cream coating took away from the vanilla ice cream on the inside, making it taste like bland ice cream. The second time, I got the vanilla ice cream base again, but got dark chocolate as my coating. It wasn't as sweet, but I realized that I just wasn't a fan of the soft serve ice cream that they have. The third time, I decided to try their gelato. I got a small size gelato (which comes with 2 scoops), and got pistachio and cookies and cream. It was definitely more enjoyable than the cone in my opinion, as the flavours were strong, but I found it too be a little icy to be called gelato. However, I love the concept and the design of this store. It makes me feel like im in a chocolate factory, and I'm automatically put in a good mood with all the chocolate and ice cream here. If I do return, I will definitely keep trying other items until I find something I like! :)

They have lots of different chocolate dip options in european chocolate or regular. They have their own version of a blizzard, as well as soft serve and hard ice cream. I got a vanilla cone dipped in the european milk chocolate hazelnut. I got the size small but it was much bigger than I thought. I don't know when this started happening but either the ice cream sizes are getting bigger or I just can't handle as much ice cream as I used to.

It's self serve to some degree where your order is called and you can pick it up yourself. Staff were knowledgeable and recommended the spicy poutine for us. Lots of seating so we grabbed a comfy booth to eat our poutine. Servings were pretty large and came with plenty of gravy (even under layers of fries there was more gravy). The cheese was rubbery and not necessarily addicting as someone else noted. Was a saucy fries action. I think I'd like to try a different flavor in the future. Pretty good start to our trip in Quebec!

New & Trendy A few…read morelocal friends recommended I stop and try Mr Puffs while on vacation in Trois Rivières. Apparently, they're the new thing, and I was not disappointed. They have a wide array of flavors for all taste preferences. We ordered a 12 pack with 2 flavors: Choco Loco & Sucre a Crème with an extra syringe of sucre a creme. If you do not like sweet do not order those flavors, they are very sweet but perfect for our taste. Our puffs were made to order, and were very fresh. The syringe was fun to use, but may not have been necessary considering how much the puffs were already smothered in the sucre a crème topping. Staff were friendly, and patient while waiting for us to choose our flavors. They do not speak English, but that's normal for this area.

Every dish was delicious and inventive. The stand out were the French onion soup served inside a large roasted onion, topped with a crispy crustiani topped with caramelized onions and the duck pate served with roasted vegetables on thick slices of homemade bread. We felt very comfortable and welcomed in a room full of French speaking locals. Probably the only place in Trois-Rivières to buy bubble tea (which actually serves tapioca…read morepearls)!!! I was very excited to try this bubble tea shop out, but I knew not to expect too much. They actually have quite a bit of selection, and it is sold at $5 for a 18oz cup, and $6 for a 24oz cup (with an extra $1 for tapioca/popping bubbles). There are also many different kinds of milk for substitution if you need! I ordered the Iced Matcha Latte with tapioca pearls. The barista quickly made it in front of us, and he was very effiicent. I found it really cool how he had used a mason jars as a shaker to shake the matcha and milk together (he shook it by hand too!). He scooped the tapioca pearls from a little plastic container (in which I had a feeling that the tapioca would probably not have been too fresh!), and had assembled it all into my little cup I found that there was no matcha taste in my bubble tea, and it was also not sweetened, so I should have asked for it to be sweeted (which I believe, I would have been charged another fee). I was surprisingly amazed that the tapioca didn't taste too bad! You could definitely tell that the pearls are not fresh, but it was still sweet and chewy. I think that if i got another flavour, I might have enjoyed it a little bit more :) And, I think that if I visited Urbanithé earlier in the day, I possibly could have enjoyed some fresh pearls! However, I found the price point a little expensive- I had paid $6+ for a milky and tasteless bubble tea. My friend had gotten a preset drink, and hers was sweetened, and it was actually quite enjoyable. I think that if I had picked a preset drink choice, I might have had a better experience. Nonetheless, I am still very happy to see that this asian drink can still be found in a very francophone area! They also have sandwiches and a wide variety of tea selection (which are laid out very similar to David's Tea).
