While I've only been once, it certainly lived up to my yelp expectations. This space is serene. The entrance and yoga room are cozy, calming, and welcoming. My yoga class (1st, but not last), was challenging and encouraging at the same time. Our instructor allowed for modifications and allowed enough time so that we could go-at-our-own-pace. I just tried this studio for the first time and I loved it! It is in a quiet, quaint neighborhood and everyone was really friendly. The yoga studio has a unique charm and is very calming. It has a very Southeast Asia vibe. Rachel even stopped the incense for me when I told her it bothers me. Also got a free yoga bag mat so that was a plus! Only recommendation: a longer savasana! The Yoga Bar is some of the best yoga I've found in the city! It's not just hot yoga or focused on o my being a workout. I feel that the classes and instructors have a good foundation in the practice and history of yoga that I really appreciate. Everyone has always been really kind and I enjoy the flows they teach. So far they're still operating at limited attendance for COVID protocols so there's plenty of space between mats. I love having the door open on a nice day. I have only recently gotten into yoga, and I'm IN LOVE. The Yoga Bar has the perfect set up for my needs. First, why I got into yoga. I have an immensely stressful job, and the effects have quickly become unbearable. After a stressful period, I can feel every muscle in my body because I'm so tense. I turned to yoga as an outlet for my stress, and it's truly helping. The building and location. I live in East Row so obviously this location is ideal as I only have to walk one block to get to my class. But they also have a studio in OTR for all you Ohio Yelpers. However, I am thrilled with the Newport location because they renovated an adorable corner-location building that sat vacant for quite some time. I am a huge advocate for preserving this incredible neighborhood, and I absolutely love being in that building as much as I love the classes themselves. Classes. I have taken several different classes now, and I'm slowly getting introduced to the instructors and the various sessions they offer. Yoga Bar offers a wide range of times and classes for everyone's schedules and skill sets, and you'll undoubtedly find an instructor whose temperament and teaching style compliments your needs. PLUS! they have a new student discount. $45 unlimited for the first month. Not too shabby. P.S. If you're new to this like me, you likely do not have a mat or any other supplies. Never fear! Nestled in the quiet streets of Newport, Kentucky's East Row Historic District is Cincinnati Yoga Bar's sister location. Your peace begins even before stepping into this studio as you enter through tree lined streets and homes holding the history of this small town. From the Purple People Bridge at the Levee, it is but a few blocks walk. Driving, parking is never a challenge. This studio offers a great variety of practices not in name alone, but by the diversity of it's yogis. Each teacher brings their own brand of energy and interpretation of the practice to the mat. If you are fortunate to be able to attend more than once a week, you will receive a wonderful variety of classes. While the classes are generally smaller in size, the energy and sense of community is contagious. Whether you practice regularly or are new to yoga, this yoga community is welcoming and nonjudgmental. Stop by for a class. I LOVE this place. It's extremely convenient (a two minute walk from my house) and very intimate. It definitely feels like a neighborhood yoga studio, very cozy and welcoming. Any classes I've taken here have been really small, which allows for more individual attention. I wish they had more early morning classes or prenatal classes that would fit with my schedule, but I do love this place that I don't feel like taking away a star for this. read more

I'm willing to admit that maybe my experience is out of the norm for Yoga Bar. A few months ago, I decided to treat myself to a workshop here. It was a weekend long workshop and I was very excited/nervous but looking forward to it. Suddenly, the money was put back into my account a few days with no communication from the studio. I double checked the website and noticed that the workshop in particular no longer had a register option and was taken down from their Facebook page. I emailed the studio confirming that the workshop was cancelled, which made sense to me but again I had heard nothing from them. I was assured that while the workshop was cancelled, they had rescheduled it later this year. They also asked if they could use my information to register me for the new dates. I happily agreed and watched my account. No money was ever taken out of the account, no signage has ever been posted about the new dates, no one has ever reached out and formally told me what was happening with the workshop. I've looked myself and the new dates are on the site, but I have no idea if I'm registered. read more

Not just lovely on an aesthetic level (though it is!), this studio has amazing teachers (knowledgeable, kind, and a delight to take classes with), a diverse assortment of classes to suit every kind of yoga need and interest, and a tremendous kindness at its core. Smaller classes, great value for new clients, and the teachers pay attention to your form and fit to your pains. They mix up positions and challenge you in the most easy looking position. I LOVE this yoga studio. I have been to 15 classes in the past month and every instructor has been great. The studio is in a renovated former corner market building in Newport's East Row neighborhood and its a lovely space. And a big part of what makes the space lovely is the friendly, welcoming front desk, the instructors and the students. Everyone is warm and welcoming. The instruction is thoughtful, encouraging, motivating and knowledgable. There is a stylistic thread of continuity from class to class really makes progress in your practice faster and easier. And having said that, each instructor brings their own personality and unique strengths, and emphasis to their classes. I can't say enough good things about this studio. If you have wanted to start a yoga practice but have felt intimidated by walking into a yoga studio, fear no more. You will be welcomed and encouraged. I have been going to Yoga Bar for about six months and I still haven't had a single bad experience. They really know yoga and have classes for every level of experience. I love that they offer water and tea before each class. I highly recommend it! read more
