After moving across the country to California, I discovered there were no Gold's Gym locations anywhere near me. Naturally, I called to cancel my membership. I was told that cancellations could not be done over the phone and that I would need to come in person to cancel, despite the fact that I now live over 6.5 hours away by plane. When I explained my situation, the representative I spoke with was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue, I was continuously stonewalled by their staff and provided no reasonable solution. To make matters worse, my account was sent to collections for a mere $20/month membership, and my credit score has suffered as a result, all because Gold's Gym refused to provide any legitimate way to cancel my membership remotely. It's clear from reading other reviews that this isn't an isolated incident, it's a pattern of unethical and predatory business practices. . Do yourself a favor and choose ANY other gym except Gold's Gym. Gold's Gym has proven to be dishonest, unhelpful, and completely indifferent to their customers once they have your payment information.

So far this has not happened and that was back in October 2016. Classes are M-Th and just one from 6:15-7:15. There is a different instructor every night. Sometimes the class seems more focus on weights, yoga, Pilates, and other things than kickboxing. The room is not very big. While you are taking the class, others are either in there waiting to their classes, practicing for their class, or walking to and from the restroom. Sometimes you cannot do your own workout due to them walking by or being in the way, which is frustrating. Attempted to cancel my membership but unfortunately I'm locked in for a year. It is definitely more geared for martial arts than kickboxing.
