The second session in January was a full day of restorative yoga, guided meditation, essential oil crafting and blending, sound healing, journaling and more. These were really fulfilling experiences for me and my best friend. The sessions left me feeling at peace and very limber. I enthusiastically recommend this facility and it's instructor, as it is a peaceful, joyful setting designed to stimulate and enhance all the senses. Provided were healthy vegan/gluten free snacks and/or meals, tea and water, equipment such as mats, blocks, blankets, bolsters, enrichment materials, flower crowns, crafting supplies, sanitary & pleasant bathroom accommodations, and fire pit access (weather permitting.) Special accommodations can be made for overnight stays. The yoga and other enrichments are conducted in a red and white climate controlled barn that once housed two Clydesdale horses. I found the setting and companionship to be both grounding and encouraging. The Yoga Barn is located in picturesque, lush farmland; it also serves as an animal rescue and some of its current residents that I interacted with include Ella the pig, a mini horse, a small donkey, a Labrador Retriever... my inner child and adult self were extremely content with the surroundings and participants, both two legged and four. I did a conditioning class in 104 degrees and OH MY- it kicked my butt in the best way possible. Our instructor, Meg, was sooooo good. She kept us all focused and hyped up. Loved her playlist! She brought so much energy and inspired me to push myself. I WISH I lived closer. My husband and I were staying at the Tandem Bike Inn as a vacation getaway and they advertised this yoga spot. When I come back to the Jersey Shore I will be sure to come back here. This place makes exercise fun!
