I loved it! I took the Restore Class. Kelsey did a great job leading the session. I really enjoyed the flow of the class. The fitness room is heated with a brilliant combination of light, sound, and aroma therapy that makes for a wonderful experience. The facility is super clean and organized too. They provide lockers for their members, towels, a gym equipment room, and a designated filtered water station. I thought it was a sweet touch that they included my friend's and my name on their messaging board, as a welcome greeting for our first time visiting. I'll definitely be visiting again. read more

I gave this studio a try because it's close by, despite friends warning me it's not a good studio. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I signed up for their paid trial week, the website crashed. I was charged but couldn't access classes for days.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After contacting them, I finally got in halfway through the week. The two classes I did attend were disappointing: the music was poor, the floor was peeling or bubbling, no showers despite being hot yoga, and the instructor seemed inexperienced. Hi all. I'm new to the area and have been practicing yoga for over 15 years. YogaSix is close to me and although I love another studio in Encinitas, they don't offer hot classes and it's a bit of a trek. I bought the introductory package for 8 classes for $65 (or something close to that) to see if it was something I would like to commit to. After you pay then they send you the policy disclaimers via text. Their cancellation policy is stated last: * 30 day cancellation notice to cancel memberships. So if I don't like the studio I'm on the hook for at least a full month more at full price? What a load of BS. I've never seen a policy like that and it's an awful one. I never would have signed on if there was a hook that deceitful. I emailed the manager, Fallon, as soon as I took a class that was not great (someone was farting during hot the ENTIRE class and it was awful; crowded, uncomfortable, vibes were majorly off and it was just embarrassing for everyone). It quite literally left a bad taste in my mouth... Furthermore, the instructors aren't that great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the girls at the front barely smile or acknowledge your presence. They remind me more of flight attendants just going through the rote actions[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. There doesn't feel like there is heart or soul or wisdom as to the discipline of yoga at all. No chanting, no Om shanti's, no metaphysical motifs what so ever, weird, poorly curated music... its all just a bit too robotic. Personally, it's not for me. Short story long, Fallon the GM said she would not charge me on the 8th of this month after expressing my disinterest in my time there and the cancellation policy but then charged me anyways. Sooooo... I hope this makes a point. I don't like to complain, I'm a golden rule type person, but this is clearly a top down issue and there is a lack of integrity. I really wish they gassed up or compensated their instructors more so they feel great about their place of employment because no one looks like they are enjoying themselves very much. Weird culture. Worse management. Edit: apparently MANY people have had issues with trying to cancel with YogaSix and are being charged against their will even when they have reached out to management multiple times to stop. I love it here! Hot Yoga at its best. I came in after seeing it in the area and joined right away. They have a great trial month so you can see if it's a good fit for you. Love that you can book your classes online, and they never seem to be completely filled up. I find that convenient. Plenty of different class levels and options so you don't get bored. My favorite little touch, is that they have a free alkaline water system to fill up your water bottle. I appreciate this so much! read more

Signed up for a few trial classes. Instructors seemed very good, but all of the classes were way too hot. Went home dizzy on a few occasions, which I've never felt before and I have done plenty of hot yoga. Oddly other people in the classes were complaining about how hot it is too. Way hotter than any of the Y6's I've tried in OC. Being dizzy isn't for me so I will be passing on a full membership here. I think I will give the Y6 up near the mall a try instead! read more

Not going to lie, a 48 year old dude in a yoga class in Bressi in the middle of the day has all the makings of an awkward situation. I was very happy that things weren't weird at all at Y6. All the staff are inviting and friendly, and made me feel confident that it wasn't weird some old fat dude is doing Yoga. The classes were excellent - very challenging for a Yoga n00b, but not so bad I wanted to quit. I definitely got a great workout the few times I've been so far, and I felt amazing after each sesh. I plan on continuing my membership after the trial is over. If it's your first time doing Yoga, this is a great place to get your feet wet. read more

This is a great studio with lots of class times/options. All of the staff is here are very kind and helpful. The studio is very clean. They have a filtered water dispenser and towels. The bathroom has everything you could need after class (besides a shower) including: dry shampoo, hair ties, tampons, face cleansing wipes, etc. I really enjoy the yoga sculpt and power classes here. They both challenging but leave me feeling accomplished and refreshed. The studio is also located next to a brewery so they sometimes collaborate and offer fun events. I love this studio! Most (if not all) classes are heated. Different styles of yoga are offered for all levels. On average i would say the classes are catered towards intermediate/advanced students, so if you're looking to challenge yourself this is the spot! Grace is very detailed w/ her cues. Consistently cueing adjusts/modifications and strengthening while stretching basis of yoga. Erin's power yoga class is challenging and so rewarding! Fast paced flow with focus on strength, movement, and breathe. Yasmine's candlelight yoga was calm and relaxing, but also a great flow/core workout. Highly recommend!!! read more

Tried out my first hot yoga class here and it was great! I took the 5:30 PM class with Zac and his class was everything I needed to end my day after work. Make sure to bring your mat, water bottle, and towel because you will be sweating! They also had a yoga mat towel they let me borrow which was perfect! And it was clean of course!:) The class has all levels and it was easy to follow along. At the end I loved how he came around with a towel that smelled like orange/citrus. A great touch to end a hot class! The heated class almost felt better since my body was warm and could get into each position easily. When the class was over they handed out cold towels to wipe down which smelled great too! The staff were helpful and friendly. Your first class is free so definitely give it a try! This a review for their soft opening Power Sculpt class. Reception: check in is easy, staff are friendly and helpful. Lockers (for members I think) and open cubbies are in the front lobby. They have a filtered water station. They have mats and towels available for you. (At other Yoga Six locations there's a fee to use those, but here, at least during game soft opening, they were complimentary to use). Yoga studio: big windowless studio with a mirror on the front wall with their signature cushioned floor. Studio was clean and didn't have a sweaty yoga smell like other studios. Even though this wasn't a heated class, it was sweaty! I'd recommend bringing a yoga towel for your mat. Music was not relaxing yoga music (I would have liked something calmer for shivasana). Bright lights are a killer, and the reason for a loss of a star. The lights are like clubbing lights that randomly change colors. Very jarring after you open your eyes from a peaceful pose. I'd recommend replacing those with super soft amber lights or votives. Instructor: She forgot to do some moves on side 2, so the sequence was off. A few awkward cues. But she kept us moving! She had circuits of one minute with several reps. I get a bit bored with that, so I modified. She opened the class saying she welcomed mods. I liked how she moved around the studio to demonstrate. I love YogaSix and did my YTT through the company years ago. I was excited when this location opened as it was difficult to make it to the forum or 4s Ranch for their other locations from San Marcos. I'm giving it four stars rather than five because its changed a lot. The music is cranked up super loud and the instructor uses a microphone. There are also clubbing lights that go on at some point that throw off the peaceful, soothing vibe that is yoga. I go to yoga to find peace from my toddler and newborn, and I struggled with finding that when i went to classes this week. I'm fine if you want to play Notorious BIG during the flow, but the lights really throw everything off. This location also doesn't have showers like the other locations but it's a nice space. read more

I would leave 5 stars but I'll go with 4 for now. I read other reviews and I'm so surprised people like a super bright natural lit yoga room! I love love love the way this yoga room is lit. The lights change from blue to purple and it's my main reason for staying - I really need showers which is what the Encinitas location has but I can't stand the thought of the lighting so I'll drive all the way home and back 20 mins to get to work. The lighting is the best part to me, I'm able to get lost in the class and not stare out a window at the parking lot or find myself watching other people. It totally gets you in your own flow and focusing on just yourself while listening to your body. I so wish they could remove a bathroom and install showers! It would help immensely w/ my schedule and I would be able to go to yoga and straight to work instead of leaving and driving all the way home so it takes me an extra two hours to commit to this in the morning. Also please note that when you sign up for a promotion, it starts the moment it's purchased but at other studios I've joined (I'm from big cities) it starts the first day you use it. So they text me a promotion and I signed up while I was out of town thinking I could use it when I get back (it was for two months), I was already 3 weeks into my promotion when I returned! I think they should state that it starts immediate in in their "text" when they're tying to make sales. Otherwise I love the yoga room, heat temperature is perfect and the lighting is my favorite! read more

I don't write many bad reviews but feel compelled to write this one to help others. Sculpt & Flow is the winner here, it is a great and always very full class. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have also taken Power Yoga, another good one and the teachers and front desk are lovely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sore spot is this place is very profit driven given it is fund owned and that shines through. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked to cancel my monthly membership (which was a process in itself - website said to call studio - then when calling I had to e-mail - then I had to sign a legal document - yikes), they charged me for another month when I specifically asked for an end date a month earlier[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (they tried to distract me from this "minor detail" by offering free classes that never expire or to sign on and pay $15 a month to keep my current membership rate - but no membership - in case I wanted to sign up again (are you kidding me) - sadly I was going to just buy a class pack after my busy time at work ended - this was a big put off). I also had to cancel classes late which I was fine with them just taking the class I'd already paid for. They wouldn't take my class away and instead charged me a fee because in taking away my class they cannot make another $10 off me (and the classes expire if unused - fine but seriously tacking on another fee). Lastly, there are not enough Sculpt & Flow times offered with a 20+ waitlist and it's only offered on Saturdays and Sundays at 7:30AM. I think they do this as they know it is the most popular and they can keep classes full at an unpopular early studio weekend time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you have a full time job you don't want to wake up before 7AM on a weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Looks like I'm back to my longtime Corepower studio in Encinitas - they don't charge you a fee for missed classes (will just take the class - you don't have to give them money in addition to). Rocio, the manager is awesome. She is so friendly and keeps the studio spotless and well-stocked with items that any yogi will appreciate. I love the purified water and cold towels post class. The teachers are great. I love Lacey's class--it's great when I want to take it easy and when I need a challenge. Lacey's cues are on point. She does not have that annoying affected "yoga" voice - she's authentic and connects as herself. I also love Heather, Grace, and Tiffany as teachers. after attending one class, I get texts non-stop from multiple numbers. They have the most expensive drop in fee in the area. They advertise cheap trials but tell you that promotion ended and try to get you on an unlimited plan instead. And the rooms have to be the hottest studios I've even been in. Way hotter than yoga box or resilience or fortis. To the point where the health benefits are outweighed by the slippery sweat pouring in your eyes and fear of heat exhaustion. Save your money. Great studio. Terrible corporate policies. Buyer beware - you must request to cancel your membership 30 days in advance or you will be charged an extra month. You'd think you could just go to the website and click cancel. But they make it way more difficult and inconvenient. First you have to call. Then they will tell you to send a cancel request via email to the manager. Then the manager will email you docs that you have to print, sign, scan and email back. In my case, i decided to cancel due to omnicron concerns. I cancelled with 2 weeks left on the month. I was told i'd be charged an extra month because 30 day notice is required. This cost me hundreds of dollars, wasted money. This is unacceptable. The customer should be able to cancel via the website on a moments notice. I loved this studio but the unethical corporate policy has led to a customer lost. read more

I've grown in my practice tenfold because of their expertise and grace. I work long hours but can still make their early (6am) or late (7:15pm) timeslots. The studio is clean, stylish, and offers nice touches like an amazing alkaline water filter and cold lavender towels after hot classes. I love coming to Y6 in Bressi Ranch for so many reasons. Having a bad day, take a hot class to sweat it out. Feeling fiesty, got a sculpt class for that. Need to just move and reset the old bones, got a slow flow for that. I've also had several knee surgeries the last few years and wasn't sure if I could handle yoga and some of the poses. Like someone else who posted here, I'm also really disappointed to have to leave a bad review. I've been to both the Solana Beach and 4S locations many times in the past and loved it. So I signed up for a promo over the Summer for a studio that would be opening in Bressi Ranch July. Pay for a month of unlimited Yoga and get 20% off of unlimited monthly memberships for life (regardless of location). I told the guy at the time that I was pretty free over the Summer but likely starting a new job in September (which I did on September 3rd). He said it was no problem, I could call after the first month and cancel it. I also explained that while I was happy to sign up there, I don't live near Bressi Ranch and needed to go to the Carlsbad or Solana Beach locations. He told me no problem, their memberships work at all studios. So I went ahead and signed up. Then, July came and went and the studio still wasn't open. Then, to be honest, I just kind of forgot about it until I looked the other day and saw that they've been charging me monthly since September 5th. I realize this is hugely my error and I should have paid better attention. Things have been crazy; I have two little kids and just started a new job. So I called and left a message for a manager (Margie), who finally called me back two days later. I told her the story, including that I realized I had fallen short on my end, and said there was really nothing she could do except offer me two months of unlimited (I paid for three) AT BRESSI RANCH. I work full-time in downtown SD and I live in Encinitas. LOL. I explained that and the response was pretty much an over-the-phone shoulder shrug. Anyway, onward. I'm taking it up with my credit card company and I have a bad taste in my mouth for them now. Had she even said they'd do the two months of unlimited in whatever location at a time when it worked for me, I would have been fine with it. The teachers are so caring and expert--I can zone into my practice, listening to their clear instructions and encouragement without having to watch their demos unless I choose to. They're always available after class for questions, discussion, and more encouragement. I have especially enjoyed Jade's and Amanda's classes. They're so good at what they do!
