The best part of going to Legoland Water Park with kids is to have your husband be in charge of the kids.....the whole day....and you just chill there and sip your drink. We have been coming to this water park the whole summer and it has been an amazing experience. If you come early, there are plenty of umbrellas and chairs to choose from. The water is usually warm and we usually battle with our kids cause they never want to go home. Our favorite part is the wave pool where you get to enjoy and relax on a wavy pool while laughing at your kids getting slapped by the wave near the shore. They're the ones who like being tossed around by the wave. We also like the water pad where the water squirts or creates multiple water arcs, and kids just run around and get wet. This is the place where parents can just sit or lay under umbrellas while watching their kids. We rented a cabana once when we had family guests from Texas. There was a breastfeeding baby so we thought, a cabana would be great, and it was. the server took us to our cabana and explained everything. You really do not need to go anywhere to get food. You just text your server what you want and the server will get the food for you. We also got two free Legoland towels and a huge Legoland bag. We'll be going back as soon as it opens again for the next summer. Totally worth it. read more

Son son had big plans to go to both the theme park and water park in the same day. Once he set a plan months out, it was set. Despite by the time we're on the trip in April, it was going to be a cold - 60-70s and maybe rainy day. Tried to convince him otherwise but he made up his mind months ago, haha. Well it turned out that the son came out on our day but it was still cold, mid-60's. Unfortunately Chime park side was closed. Forgot when I sold this park initially to him that LEGOLAND is geared towards the younger age. As is the water park, the slides and rides are on the smaller kid age. So it should be perfect for son sons age of 5, but he has been to larger water parks and rode the big thrilling rides. So he had fun there, but he said it's bay ride slides haha. Then add on to that the wind chills and temperature. Our waterpark adventure ended pretty quickly. We did however make the rest of the day in the theme park end. Pretty meh experience. My kids are the perfect age for this park so it should have been awesome, but the whole experience is just poorly run. Almost every water slide was closed and the ones that were open had a super long line because there was one person working there who would go and open the gate and let one rider through and then go and supervise them down the slide. It took forever! And they close each pool like every hour for 10 mins so we would end up wandering around trying to find the next thing that was open only to have that close as soon as we got in. The lazy river was another fail. We needed the infant tubes since my kids are young but of course, they told me they got rid of the dual tubes with an infant side last week and only had like 2 of the single infant tubes. So instead of a moment of peace for the parent, you have to now walk next to the tube while you're much too small child tries to cling to the side as you hold them in. I struggle to understand what the point of getting rid of the infant tubes is. All in all, if you enjoy getting yelled at all day by teenagers who won't let your kids touch anything or even look at the side of the pool, then this is the spot for you. read more

This waterpark is pretty boring. I reccomend coming here if your child is 1-4 years old because pretty much all the pools are 2 feet deep. There are only 2 water slides each with pretty much an hour wait for each one, plus, the slide last 10 seconds and it just pretty much goes in a circle. I went on the small kids green slide in the splash pad-like area. It was also about a 30 minute wait for a 5 second ride instead. As I climbed to the top where the slide was I saw all the broken water blasters that your supposed to play with. At last I reached the top and saw a kid standing on what I thought was a weighing device. So when I was next I stood on it. But then , in a pretty rude voice the lifeguard, which was a girl, told me to back up in a rude tone. Necause I didn't want to have problems I stepped back. I think the lifeguards name was a name that started with a C like Carol or Carie or something. Since that was a bust, we went to the Chima Land of the park andcdecided to go into the wave pool. Turns out the wave pool aint even pretty much have waves in it, it was just little tiny bumps in the water supposedly called a wave in toddler terms or whatever. Now the main disappointment is the lazy river. Usually lazy rivers just let you in. No line. No shenanagins. But not today!!! We waited 55 minutes just to ho around 3 times. I guess its kinda cool because you like build onto your tube in the water. But, the pieces dont even stay on and they are scattered everywhere throughout the park due to kids thinking they can take them. Bushes. Splash pads. and everywhere else. So please, I do not reccomend buying the park hopper bundle. read more

This is an awesome park. We went during off season and enjoyed the ample seating and water space. There were lots of lifeguards around despite the low attendance of patrons. The food is pretty good inside at the Beach Front Grill. Their options are a California burrito, turkey wrap (my personal fav) and a veggie wrap along with some kids items (pizza, quesadilla, etc.) There's also personal cabanas you can rent for $200 where you get a fridge and personalized service. Make sure you rent ahead of time, however. There are lots of chairs and lounge chairs with huge umbrellas over to protect you from the sun, but I expect this place to be packed during the summer so you may want to bring your personal handheld sun umbrella. Lockers are available and free life vests. Again, likely to go quickly during the summer. Highly recommend coming during off season, but make sure to check Legolands website as it isn't open all the time. read more

We visited this anniversary day after 25 years since our last visit (like 2 months after first opening). Wow!!! Worth the price of admission. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and safe. You'll feel like you're on a far away island with the lush foliage and palm trees. The music is perfect for the theme. Very chill and relaxing. Tons of umbrellas and lounge chairs for everyone to enjoy. Be sure to get here early though to avoid the crowds. We had a blast as a family. Our boys loved it so much. One thing to note the waterpark you do have to have a tickets that cost $5 at the window of entrance for kids age 1-2. We didn't know that until we arrived. Its free for the Legoland dry park for that age range up to 3 I believe. Nonetheless, we had a blast and we would come again. So much to do in the waterpark itself that we loved. Super relaxing. Made easy for stroller rentals, locker rentals, restrooms nearby. The locker was reasonably priced. $16 for whole day. The water park is pretty fun for young kids. For an additional $30 per day, it is a good price. However, due to covid restrictions and reopening, there are few spots that are not opened. So check first. E.g. due to short staff, the wave pool was not open yesterday. I am guessing because of covid restrictions, the river with floats is not opened at all. We bought a combo ticket for legoland which included the water park. We reached the water park around 4pm and only regretted on not being able to make it in when they opened. The place is clean and staff friendly. It's safe and the kids are monitored through out. It's definitely a kids paradise. There are enough safety vests, lockers and drying capsules. My family and I was able to visit Legoland Water Park during our stay this past weekend at the Legoland Castle Hotel. A two day park hopper was included with our hotel package so of course we took advantage of visiting the water park since the weather was pretty warm. The water park is located in the back left corner of Legoland so you do need to walk through almost the entire park to get there. We got in pretty quickly, there wasn't much of a line of people waiting to scan in their tickets. The water park is a pretty good size. They have a good amount of lounge chairs for guests to sit in - it is first come first serve so you either need to arrive when the park opens or wait for a spot to open up. Unfortunately it took a little while for my family and I to find seats that were in the shade but they did have a bunch of lounge chairs in the sun. You just have to be able to withstand the burning heat. You also have the option of renting one of their private cabana's but after checking the prices online I realized its more for groups that may be splitting the cost. $150 - $250 is quite expensive! They have a large area with lockers for guests to safely keep their belongings. There's also a big restroom located right at the front of the park that was nice and clean. From what I saw there was only one place to get food, we ended up getting pizza and fries for my son to eat after he was done swimming. Be prepared to wait in a long line since everyone else is going there as well! I did like that they had a few nice pool areas for kids to have fun and play. There were two specific pools my six year old son loved hanging out at during our visit. They also have a huge slide for older kids and adults but we didn't end up checking those out. Unfortunately the lazy river was closed also while we were there, which was surprising because I'm sure that's a big attraction for guests and it was a Saturday afternoon - one of the busiest days of the week. I'd say maybe 1/3 of the park seemed to be closed while we were there. Hopefully they open the entire water park soon especially since summer is approaching! If I had paid full price admission to get in I would have been disappointed but since it was already included in my hotel package it wasn't too bad for what we got to experience. read more

LEGOLAND is a fun park for Lego enthusiasts and young children! There are SO many Lego details to enjoy. The park feels a little dirty compared to some of the other SoCal amusement parks, but if you love legos, you'll have a good time. The water park is a blast with lots of slides, a huge lazy river, a couple of play structures, and a wave pool. Plus there is lots of seating and rentable cabanas. There is something for everyone! Solid place for some water fun for younger kids. There is a good mix of activities for various ages, but it definitely caters to younger kids (pre-teen I think would be the most ideal). That said, I went with my kids on rides, and I had a blast, so maybe it's good for all ages. I appreciate the tie-in with LEGO and their themes throughout the water park. Also, there are a lot of different areas to explore, from slides, kids water play area, tide pool, rides, etc. That said, note it can get very crowded especially on hot days. LEGO offer cabanas to rent. I don't think they're that cheap, but they do always seem to be rented out. I like how every areas is staffed with lifeguards. We still keep a close eye on our kids, but it's nice they have extra staff around for safety in all their areas. Note you can wear slippers / water shoes in pretty much all their rides. I like this because I hate walking around barefoot and getting dirt all over the bottom of my feet. Just be prepared to take them off and hold onto them for a few of the slides. They also have changing areas and (paid) lockers. Overall, we had a great time, it's worth a visit especially on a hot day. You can also stay here a few hours and then explore the rest of LEGOLAND as well. read more

Fun place for little kids, the rides are definitely fun but not as thrilling as the ones at Knotts soak city or raging waters. We came here with my niece recently and she had a blast. I was told by our friends that this place gets really crowded and busy on the weekends, so we elected to do this on Monday and the park was pretty empty. There was no lines getting on most of the rides, and we were able to get shaded lawn chairs no problems. The park is not very big, so you can walk around and not get lost. There are several restaurant inside the park for food options, but expect to pay an arm and a leg for anything. Over all super fun experience for the whole family. read more

This place is so much fun. I've been taking my kid here for several years (we always get annual passes). Until last summer the water park was just very boring and the line for the lazy river was insanely long, because that was the only option for just floating about and relaxing. It was as if the Legoland Water Park was simply an afterthought. But last summer the Chima section opened and it made the entire place seem so much more spacious. It's a simple addition of a wave pool, and kid's' area and a burger stand, but these simple things make the entire water park section of Legoland much less crowded and way easier to enjoy. More people are hanging out at the wave pool area, where there are tons of chairs and ample shade (a bonus for Irish girls like me), thus freeing up the original water park space and alleviating the long lines a bit. So if you're going to Legoland during the warmer months and your family loves to get wet (without the sand, salt, and freezing water of the beach), I can highly recommend the water park. read more

We're from the LA area and were really looking forward to this park! Half of the attractions were closed and more than half of the kids play interaction areas were broken. Only one attendant at the top of water slides for an area of 2 - 4 slides so everything takes forever and the slides are slow moving while in non-shaded areas. So it was great if you like wading pools i guess. Everything they have here and more is available at DryTown waterpark in Palmdale Ca. There is a splashpad just outside the waterpark, so save your money and go there. Sunglasses - you can't wear your sunglasses on ANY of the slides, even the kiddy pool slide that is no longer than 5 feet. They ask that you take them off and hold them or put them in your pocket (sorry, but how many women's swimsuits have you seen with pockets?) IMHO you're just making it more likely for people to lose or break their glasses on the slides that way. But if you have glasses straps so they are secure to your head then they are allowed. So I went to three different shops inside and outside the waterpark and they don't actually sell them here. Overall I wouldn't suggest. There is a Chima waterpark area that looks to double the. Size of the park that is supposed to open this summer, but is not yet open. Maybe that will improve the place. read more

As far as water parks go Legoland Water Park is nice. The park is larger than what we expected with many areas to explore with different themes. They even have a water ride in Pirate Reef., and another tube ride called Orange Rush. There are a couple of water slide rides. The lazy river is called Build-a-raft River and some of the tubes let you build onto the raft with giant soft legos! They have a wave pool, which is nice - and is very mild waves compared to some other water parks we've been to. There are also plenty of areas for toddlers and small children. There was some parts under construction. They have changing rooms and plenty of bathrooms. I didn't eat inside this part of the park, but they did have a couple places to buy food. You can of course rent cabanas; and they appeared to have waitress service. It's a fun water park! read more

First of all, this review should really be 4.5 stars since my kids rate it 5 stars and that's the average score! This is heaven for children! And it's a perfect place to go on a HOT day like today! It's small and it can get very crowded (with long lines) which is why I took off a point. Came here last week on a spring break weekend and they only had one restaurant open and it was the one that didn't serve beer or wine :(. Another downside to it is that the other half of the water park was closed (Lego Chima Water Park), in my opinion its a rip off to have the same admission price for something thats half or more way closed. So we made a trip down to do one day in the actual park and one day in the waterpark and I am sad that we didn't know how the waterpark was going to be. When we got in, half the place was closed, if not more. In all the pictures you see these different parts of the park and none of it was open. it was soo disappointing. One person asked, and the lifeguard stated that since it was the end of season a lot of the college employees went away to college and so they didn't have enough staff. I get that, but I wish there was some type of * to let you know that... IDK, I'm sure they don't want to because then people may not come and they lose out on money, but man, it would have been nice to know. We only were there instead for two hours, thank goodness I packed us additional clothes because we just wound up changing and going back to the main park and going on rides we hadn't done the day before. You have to pick the Waterpark of Sea Life. If you come during the week pick Sea Life as they won't be honest with you about the fact that over half of the Waterpark is closed on weekdays. My family and I spent 4 days between the hotel, Legoland, and the Waterpark. Legoland and Hotel was GREAT. The Waterpark was miserable. The first issue was the wave pool being closed. Second, the Lazy River, which we were looking so forward to, was an awful experience. The first go was great, happily floating with my son and I on a double tube and my wife on a single. The second go round, a group of at least 10 members of a family thought it was ok to let their kids literally smash into us to get by being encouraged by the adults of their party. Then the adults started doing the same like it was bumper boats thus ruining the whole relaxed experience. The lifeguards along the route saw and did nothing to tell them to stop. I expressed my frustration to the party involved and all they did was laugh, and again the lifeguards over watching the river did not seem to care they were pushing through. Not one to stereotype people, I let the party know it was a F'd thing to do, they only laughed. With my son only being 6 I bit my tongue and just exited at the next opportunity. I was so disappointed at the lack of safety concerns from the lifeguards overseeing the river. We exited and our day was pretty much ruined by the experience. We spent over $2000 for the 4 days we spent only to come away with a horrible Waterpark experience. We just went back to the hotel and spent the day in the pool. Legoland Waterpark do better at policing these a-holes who think it's funny to play bumper boats in the lazy river. If not for my family, things would have certainly escalated since the lifeguards who were were supposed to keep things civil did nothing. Cabanas are worth the money and make the park much more enjoyable. I'd opt for a premium cabana next time though for the better location.

We recently stayed here from Friday to Sunday for my sons birthday. We did the package for a room at the main Legoland hotel with park hopper passes. After staying here for 2 nights and enjoying everything they had to offer we were impressed and all of us had a great time. The entire park is well staffed with friendly and helpful people. Everything is well taken cared for and clean. The prices are very reasonable and all the food from the park to the hotel especially Bricks cafe was very good. Fresh and made well. The pool had more than enough life guards and all the rides were fun for everyone. We will probably make this an annual tradition for the kids until they get too old. This place is way better then Disney land for the price, location, safety, fun, food, and themes. Hope they keep it this way and they will always have loyal and happy customers. read more

Legoland is great, don't get me wrong. But they need to do something about the following things: -People saving their seats with their towels and then abandoning it all day. Claiming every damn seat in the park. -Then when lunch time arrives, the restaurants are packed and there's no seating, but these people also have a spot at their chairs, that they won't go back to. Instead, they occupy a different spot in the restaurant area. Leaving people like us with NO seats NEAR the restaurant or ANYWHERE IN THE PARK! I had two kids who were hungry and wanted to eat, so you're telling me we need to stand up and eat? After we spent $55 on a meal here? Thanks! I'm glad you appreciate our business so much to give us that respect. Either put in more seats in the restaurants or make people remove their towels from the chairs if it's not occupied after a certain amount of time. -Not everyone wants to spend money on reserving a cabana and even when they do, they reserve the seats BY their cabana too! Seriously?!?! -Certain rides takes a break every 10 minutes, can you explain why? Cause it draws people to the food court and it's always packed, leaving us with NO ROOM TO SIT DOWN AND EAT! -Life jackets are good to have for the kids, except if you don't get there early enough, YOU DON'T GET A LIFE JACKET FOR YOUR KID! Everyone hooks it on to their stroller and don't return them! So when you're 14-month old needs it, she has to be held the entire time, because a bunch of jerks decided to keep the life jackets to themselves, EVEN WHEN THEY'RE NOT USING IT!!! So I have to pay the $5 admission fee for my toddler ON TOP of the $107 ticket I already paid per person, just so my toddler doesn't even get to swim around cause it's not safe, because she doesn't have a life jacket! -The floating river line is ridiculous, you stand in line to get up to the front and then you stand in line to wait for a tube. Seriously!?!?! -The restaurant has two lines to order, then you stand in another line to wait for your food. People who are just walking in are confused and are standing in wrong lines. The cashier will forget your souvenir cup and you realized later on that you paid for it and had to show her the receipt just to get one. The souvenir cup allows you to refill every 10 minutes, no sooner. There are people standing in line to refill their drinks, not knowing this and they keep trying because they didn't get instructions that you can't refill BEFORE 10 minutes! The water park is a nice add on to Legoland but it needs to work out a lot of glitches and a lot of things need to change for it to be smooth sailing, at least for the busy months. After all the waiting and aggravation, $107 per adult ticket + $5 toddler ticket + $55 or more for food to feed 4 people...you think you'd get a bit more. There are bigger water parks that charge less, is more organized and doesn't make you feel like you've been robbed after a long day. read more

Legoland is a small, fun, waterpark inside of Legoland. Going into Legoland, you keep going to your left, keep going, and eventually you'll find it. Ask a Legoland employee for directions if you're not, or just read the map. We purchased a two-day hopper ticket for access to the Sea Life Aquarium, Legoland, and the water park. The water park is fully equipped with everything needed. You can purchase tickets at their gate for $15 I believe. To the left are lockers that come in two sizes. We rented a family size locker. They give you a wristband and you scan the wristband everytime you want to access your locker. I must have access the locker 5 times, so it was totally worth it to keep all your stuff safe and dry. Surrounding the locker areas there are changing rooms big enough for a few little ones and a parent. There's a trash basket in each changing room too. When I changed out of my swimsuit I found out what it was for. Diapers. Eww. I say "Eww" because apparently parents just dump diapers without wrapping them up. I used to wrap my sons diapers up AND put them in an odor locking bag THEN dump them in the trash receptacle whenever I changed him in a public setting. Alas, I digress...back to the review. By my count, there were about 5 areas total. My favorite was Lazy River! I joined in on the action and got in an inner tube and floated around in the water. It was so much fun and so relaxing, I went around a second time. There are Lego pieces floating in the water that you can grab. There were lifeguards standing everything 15 feet or so, supervising activity. Beach type music was playing as you floated around. An employee took our pics and gave us wristbands to check out our pictures later. By the the third round, Lazy River was beginning to get crowded so I got out. I wanted to go back in later but by then there was a line waiting to get a tube, and the river was too packed : / There's a ride to the right of the water park, it goes down and creates a huge splash. If you stand on the bridge over the water area, you'll get drenched. There's also a huge area for play in the water, and a couple of slides. There are lounge chairs everywhere to sit on. Some chairs are in the shade, some in the sun. There are also areas for toddlers and babies, my 11 year old son didn't dare go in there since it was for babies. It looked really nice though. I liked the atmosphere at the Water Park. Families of all kinds were present, I even saw a burkini!!! Yes, I did. TIPS - bring sunblock (DUH) but in case you don't there's plenty sold there - bring water shoes or flip flops when traveling from area to area. When it's ever open, I understand that you can't have things open when there's no lifeguards, but I'm a platinum member and I'm there all the time it's rare that the waves open and even rare when the lazy rivers open, I've always been told when I walked by and ask, why is it closed because they don't have enough College students to be lifeguards .for the price you paid to get into that waterpark. It seems that Legoland could afford to hire people to be lifeguards so certain attractions could be open. read more

This is a very cute and fun park. It's small but seems so big because there's so many nooks and crannies. Layout is expertly done. Lots of winding paths lots of vegetation. Every corner you turn there's a new feature. I will say though that to my four and five year old girls could only handle about two hours of this place, and then they were ready to go. And having paid hundreds of dollars for the family to be there, I felt compelled to press on and tough it out. But things started to get dicey, so we just decided to call it a day and go. I'm not so sure it was worth two hours paying what we paid to be there, but if I lived in San Diego, or if there was a good annual membership deal, it would be worthwhile for frequent quick visits. read more

My kids love legoland...we have not maintained our passes consistently..i let a few months slide in between renewals...last year when the water park opened we were sure to get our passes. the park is perfect for smaller kids who just aren't ready for Soak City. the slides are perfect for my 5 & 7 year old (my daughter liked it last year at 4 years old) there is a beach with beach chairs...it's just like being at the beach but better. ...for real! the kids can run around on the slides...there is even a family slide that we all went on together. lazy river...woo hoo! i can't wait for this summer...i dont have a pass right now...but am saving up for the new hefty cost of $170 x 4! damn ...the first year i got my pass it was like $90...but they have expanded and ...i should have done the ambassador pass when it was still $1000. hopefully this summer will be warm ...not like the blah of last year's bummer summer. read more

We enjoyed ourselves at this water park, especially the toddler. It's definitely got more things going for kids than it does for adults, so don't try to come here thinking it's all about you when really - it's all about the kids. :) Plenty to do for at least 3-4 hours, and we were able to try at least 75% of the park. Some highlights include: - wave pool where artificial waves are made - multiple splash pools - chima legoland waterpark w/ the crocodile slides - lazy river was the best, we went on it for 5 loops - lockers available for $12 - hard to find chairs, but there will be some that open up - just keep your eyes peeled - the cabanas are $250+ for each, so best for large families - toddlers cost $5 for entry if they are age 1-2 read more
