Worth the price of admission. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and safe. You'll feel like you're on a far away island with the lush foliage and palm trees. The music is perfect for the theme. Very chill and relaxing. Tons of umbrellas and lounge chairs for everyone to enjoy. Be sure to get here early though to avoid the crowds. Bring sunscreen and a hat, maybe sunglasses too unless it's overcast. Please be courteous and be sure your kids don't poop the pool! Don't ruin the fun for everyone!

We had a blast as a family. Our boys loved it so much. One thing to note the waterpark you do have to have a tickets that cost $5 at the window of entrance for kids age 1-2. We didn't know that until we arrived. Its free for the Legoland dry park for that age range up to 3 I believe. Nonetheless, we had a blast and we would come again. So much to do in the waterpark itself that we loved. Super relaxing. Made easy for stroller rentals, locker rentals, restrooms nearby. The locker was reasonably priced. $16 for whole day. Had a wristband you scan to open the locker. Super easy to use. Would highly recc to any families wanting to add an addition to their family summer fun!

The Legoland Water Park is a gem that we didn't know existed until this year. My boys are 7 and 4 and cannot wait until we can come back. They have so much to do, you can definitely spend a whole day at just their water park. Our favorites were the lazy river, the orange raft slide, and the wave pool. We love the Legoland Water Park.

The water park is pretty fun for young kids. For an additional $30 per day, it is a good price. However, due to covid restrictions and reopening, there are few spots that are not opened. So check first. E.g. due to short staff, the wave pool was not open yesterday. I am guessing because of covid restrictions, the river with floats is not opened at all. Amazingly it is not crowded at all this week.

Fun place for little kids, the rides are definitely fun but not as thrilling as the ones at Knotts soak city or raging waters. We came here with my niece recently and she had a blast. I was told by our friends that this place gets really crowded and busy on the weekends, so we elected to do this on Monday and the park was pretty empty. There was no lines getting on most of the rides, and we were able to get shaded lawn chairs no problems. The park is not very big, so you can walk around and not get lost. There are several restaurant inside the park for food options, but expect to pay an arm and a leg for anything. Over all super fun experience for the whole family.

The food at the burger stand is actually pretty tasty!!!

This place is so much fun. I've been taking my kid here for several years (we always get annual passes). Until last summer the water park was just very boring and the line for the lazy river was insanely long, because that was the only option for just floating about and relaxing. It was as if the Legoland Water Park was simply an afterthought. But last summer the Chima section opened and it made the entire place seem so much more spacious. It's a simple addition of a wave pool, and kid's' area and a burger stand, but these simple things make the entire water park section of Legoland much less crowded and way easier to enjoy. More people are hanging out at the wave pool area, where there are tons of chairs and ample shade (a bonus for Irish girls like me), thus freeing up the original water park space and alleviating the long lines a bit. So if you're going to Legoland during the warmer months and your family loves to get wet (without the sand, salt, and freezing water of the beach), I can highly recommend the water park.

OMG anyone with kids I recommend this water park. Worth every penny. There are so many different areas for you and your kids to play. You can stay there all day and just relax. I just took my sons to the waterpark for the 1st time post pandemic and loved it. I will take more pics next time to show off this place.

As far as water parks go Legoland Water Park is nice. The park is larger than what we expected with many areas to explore with different themes. They even have a water ride in Pirate Reef., and another tube ride called Orange Rush. There are a couple of water slide rides. The lazy river is called Build-a-raft River and some of the tubes let you build onto the raft with giant soft legos! They have a wave pool, which is nice - and is very mild waves compared to some other water parks we've been to. There are also plenty of areas for toddlers and small children. There was some parts under construction. They have changing rooms and plenty of bathrooms. I didn't eat inside this part of the park, but they did have a couple places to buy food. You can of course rent cabanas; and they appeared to have waitress service. It's a fun water park!

First of all, this review should really be 4.5 stars since my kids rate it 5 stars and that's the average score! This is heaven for children! And it's a perfect place to go on a HOT day like today! It's small and it can get very crowded (with long lines) which is why I took off a point. We have annual passes and this is included, but if you don't have the right pass, there's an extra charge to enter. They have locker rooms to store your items so it doesn't get wet. It's definitely a fun experience for kids--just make sure you don't lose them lol.

Cabanas are worth the money and make the park much more enjoyable. I'd opt for a premium cabana next time though for the better location.

Ask the Community - Legoland Water Park

As of August 2022, is HALF the park still closed due to staff issues? Or are they completely open now?

In July they reopened (almost) fully. We were there a couple of weeks ago and they did have the lazy river closed but the rest was open. I have heard rumors that as high schools and colleges begin to restart, they may run into issues again, but as… Read more

I see that 1-day tickets can include the water park, how many hours feel sufficient to enjoy this park but still have time to enjoy Legoland?

    2-3 hours

If we have a water park / park hopper ticket, do we have in and out privileges? Or, can we only enter the water park once?

In and out is fine in my experience.

When will Legoland Water Park reopen?

    It's open

Can I bring my own little inner tube? Not planning on going down any slides but my daughter likes floating in one since she can't swim.

    Yes

Would you recommend this waterpark for kids 10+? Are there larger slides? Or is it more for little kids?

There are slides for everyone. They will like a lot of the attractions in the water park, but would be bored in the duplo area.

If the weather prediction is 65 degrees.... would you still take a 2 yr old?

The water is warm in most pools, like the kiddie area however it will be cold when they get out. I took mine when the weather was like 68 degrees.

    Do they have showers?

    Yes

The floatie for the lazy river is provided or must be purchased?

    Provided

Do they let us bring floaties or life jackets for little ones?

You can bring your own but they have racks of different size life jackets near the front entrance to use and put back. Hope this helps! Have a great time!

When does it open spring summer or what?

Yes there open all year long check the website for each day and time

Do you have to enter legoland park to get to water park?

Yes the waterpark is at the rear of Legoland. You must enter the park first.

    Are towels provided?

Nope. Bring your own, otherwise you'll have to pay $17 to buy thin, Legoland beach towels.

    Is the water warm?

The kiddie pool is warm. The lazy river is warmish. The others are not warm.

Are shuttles provided from airport to park?

    No

Golf course maintenance crews are up and at it, around 6:30 in the morning(!!). Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep and, when asked to change rooms, they were booked and had nothing available for us. As for dining... "room service" is a joke where you order online, get charged $40 for them to bring it to your room and, it's cold by the time it gets there. We had Easter brunch at Vue which was just ok. I got the eggs Benedict which, when cut open, revealed clear runoff of barely cooked egg - instantly made my hunger disappear. My husband's breakfast, the chorizo scramble, and son's breakfast, pancakes, were totally fine and edible. For the amount of money it is to stay here, I think it's 1000% overrated and we'll skip it next time we're in SD, for sure. There's really no need to come here.

Parking was valet only which was quick and seamless (and free!). The staff at the entry of the hotel was super helpful in providing directions to get down to the pool as one of my girlfriend's said it was a little confusing to find, but I was given a clear guide on how to get down there and got there without issue. We had our own server at the cabana who provided us with our free fruit plate and bottle of bubbly to share, and took food and drink orders. She and her coworkers checked on us pretty frequently and kept us well-stocked. The day was a little overcast and cloudy but the pool was a lovely cool temp, and the jacuzzi was in the same general area so when we got a little chilly we hopped on over. After spending some time in the adult-only pool area, we headed up to the family friendly deck and took a couple of runs down the slides, which was super fun. Around the time we were meant to clear out, our server was super sweet and let us know they would just start to pick up around us but we were welcome to stay longer if we wanted to, since there was no one coming in behind us. We continued relaxing until we were all ready to go but first we got to chatting with another staff member, Bryan, who was super rad and shared all his favorite nearby spots to eat.
