Summary: Breathe Degrees felt like an ancient bathhouse ritual reborn in modern form...moving through heat, breath, and embodied ritual alongside others in a warm, communal flow. This studio is intentionally designed to help you adapt, expand, and feel more alive. One of my favorite studio experiences so far. I genuinely did not want to leave! The Philosophy & First Impression: Before my first visit, I received a welcome video explaining the studio's philosophy: Using breath and hormetic stress (heat, cold, & movement) to grow stronger, healthier, and happier together. Their belief is simple & powerful, "When you take control of your breath, you take charge of your life." When I pulled into the parking lot, I could hear a man inside calling out, "Breathe in... let it go. Breathe in... let it go." (It seriously felt like the building was breathing.) The Space: I was warmly welcomed by staff who helped me check in, sign a waiver, and gave me a wristband and a full tour. The studio includes: a sauna; a cold plunge room; a yoga room; an AQUATru filtered water station; cubbies, dressing rooms, and a bathroom; and a lounge room with an educational video on their method The Class (Vinyasa Flow & Breath 90): The yoga room was arranged in a circular formation, so we faced one another, creating a shared presence & community. The class itself was an intermediate, heated power vinyasa with a smooth, steady breath-to-movement flow. Wendi cued in Sanskrit followed by English and layered in breath cues and gentle inward-turning suggestions in grounded poses. After a steady standing series, we moved into deep stretching and incredible twisting and detoxifying poses on the ground. The Breathwork Experience: After yoga, we were guided onto our backs with padded eye masks waiting for us. Wendi led us through three rounds of open-mouth inhales and exhales ("Breathe in, let it go"), followed by Mula Bandha and long-breath holds. During one of the holds, I received a neck and shoulder massage with peppermint oil, and I could feel the cooling, soothing effect immediately. The third round was the most powerful, with reminders that our bodies were fully oxygenated. After the final exhale, we were released into savasana. Wendi closed with a beautiful reflection about looking back on our day, our week, our month, our life and saying, "It was a wild and wonderful ride," which perfectly described the whole experience. The Teacher: Wendi was incredibly welcoming, thorough, and present. She took time one-on-one beforehand to explain and demonstrate the breathwork, which is essential for a sense of safety. After class, she stayed to connect personally and encouraged me to explore the sauna and cold plunge. She definitely holds a grounded, confident, and supportive container. The Sauna & Community Vibe: (I forgot a bathing suit for the cold plunge, but I spent time in the sauna.) It was a warm, social gathering space where the energy of the class naturally flowed in. People were connecting, chatting, and relaxing together. It felt like a communal ritual space. Overall Experience: This studio has so much to offer! The integration of breathwork, yoga, heat, cold, and education is genuinely thoughtful (not trendy). It was such a pleasure to experience Breathe Degrees. This is a must for any yoga enthusiast! Absolutely love Breathe Degrees. I was an unlimited member for over 2 years, and have taken over 350 classes, both breathwork and yoga (with breath). I still go regularly but not as often. I just wanted to give a shot out to these guys and say how much I appreciate their service and staff. If you have some aches and pains or even some severe aches and pains, you might want to give this a try if you've tried everything else like I have. The facilities are impeccable very clean. The staff is very friendly and will help you with anything that you might need. My best suggestion is to try their $69.02 week unlimited classes plunge sauna and hot tub and see if it's something that helps your body recover. Five stars did these guys. read more

Really cool spot. I did the 2 week trial. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The place is kept very clean. My favorite instructors were Kirby and Wendi. Kirby was great at explaining the science and evidence behind cold plunging well and what's going on in my body with breath work. Wendi's class was super challenging and gave me a good work out. Be careful when you try to pause your account. I was charged even though I did as they instructed to use their email. It's a shame they are not more forthcoming. They should make it easier so customers want to come back. Fast forward 24 hours, Freddy took care of me. I do recommend following up after you pause a membership. Walking in the door I was greeted with essential oil fragrance that settled my mind and spirit. The ladies at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. They helped me check in and get settled. I attended the Restore Breath on a Friday evening. The mats were comfortable, set up with a bolster, blanket, and the most comfortable eye mask in the world. The breath we practiced was easy to master and they came around to rub our neck with a menthol lotion that opened the lungs and left a delightful tickle on the skin. Truly want to love this place. Breathwork is the magic we all need in our lives. The pairing with cold plunge and sauna makes this even more amazing. But please turn down the loud delivery of music and instructions. No method of relaxation advocates this. I understand it's cardio for the lungs, but you can accomplish the same with a less jarring experience. I mean this earnestly because I want to keep coming. I love the concept of this place, but don't think I'll go back. I do love the cold plunge, jacuzzi and sauna, however... If you are an Empath and/or are a particularly sensitive person... this place might not be for you. It can pack quite a crowd in the pool and sauna areas with people who don't seem to be interested in using their "spa voices." Having done other breath classes that I loved, these feel similar to a high-intensity spin class rather than a spiritual experience, so for me, this was kind of a deal breaker. I didn't know what to expect from Breathe Degrees but i was intrigued by the idea of the cold plunge so I bought five sessions. Oh my gosh! I loved the feeling of going from the cold water to the sauna. It was so invigorating and put me in a great state of mind that lasted all day. Next I tried the breath work class - again, not sure what to expect. Once again- it was amazing!!!! Love this place. Don't be intimidated by the cold water or the idea of breathing for 50 minutes. Caveat - This was my first time cold plunging. Overall this place is very nice and friendly. The sauna fits 8 comfortably or maybe a few more if you're friendly. The cold plunge area has one large hot tub that is cold and one large hot tub that's hot. They are around 12' apart so they're close. They provide boots to wear to make the cold plunge less traumatizing to your toes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only negative I could say: Understanding space is a commodity. But the changing rooms were a bit tight and consisted of a curtain rod between you and the public area. If I lived closer I would definitely get the membership and go. Very cool place. Get it.. I've been going to Breathe Degrees on and off for a couple of years because their offerings were unique and interesting. Recently, I made the mistake of leaving my yoga mat after class (there's not great storage for mats while in the plunge or sauna and their limited changing areas are not near what cubbies are available). Anyway, I came back for a class a week later and recovered my mat soaked through with someone else's sweat and rolled up in their lost and found. I know they have a practice of lending out lost and found mats to people who have forgotten theirs because it has been offered to me in the past. I also know this is partially my fault for forgetting it, but recovering my natural rubber yoga mat completely saturated with some random person's sweat, stained with salt marks and maybe even the start of mildew was so disgusting (see photos of the underside of my mat). I tried cleaning it several times and trying to let it dry, but it is clearly ruined. I called the studio multiple times to see if there was anything they could do and was told a note would be left for a manager. I eventually got an email, not the courtesy of a call, saying it was not their responsibility. Not only am I completely off-put by their health standards that would allow this, but I'm heartbroken at the lack of respect for their customers. I will not be returning again. read more

I'm beyond grateful to my friend and BD Ambassador, Nina Mercie, for extending the invitation to join the Breathe Degrees community! This place is life-changing. I had never done a cold-plunge myself, but as an avid sports-fan, had seen that athletes did this as a form of recovery and was interested to see what it was all about. Not only are you tested physically, you are prepared mentally, through breath-work and/ or yoga. Their instructors are geniuses! Every session comes with a powerful message filled with inspirational nuggets. This was my very first experience with breath-work. It's incredible how powerful we are as human beings. I've been coming here regularly for the last 2 weeks and I really feel the benefits with my physical and mental health. The staff and instructors are really friendly and the facility is always kept clean. The only issue I have is that this place gets kinda packed and since it's quite small, you have to be comfortable with strangers being in your personal space on the dunking areas as well as the sauna. read more

Breathe Degrees is almost everything health and wellness in one session ! I am usually there 2 hours , and I could even stay longer if I didn't have other things to do . The class I take when it's go starts with a one hour power yoga class , Then , 15 minutes or so of guided Breathe work by the same instructor. Then, 5-10 minutes shivosna , time to change in the dressing rooms , then the same instructor takes everyone to a 3 minute cold plunge 40 degree water temp . It is guided and there are warm waterproof shoes to wear .Then next , over to the hot plunge for five minutes then back to cold plunge for as long as I can push myself. Ending in showers available and there large infared hot sauna !! Usually 15 minutes . Then shower and change before leaving, My only criticism would be the locker storage area is a bit tight for the amount of people . I am so grateful this business is in my community and love being a part of it ! read more

This place is unbelievable! I just did my third class and can already feel the difference. Not only you will find amazing instructors and an amazing community and great vibe. But what really impressed me are the classes. I am a big yoga, meditation and mindfulness fan. But this studio really differentiates with their combination of a flow class under warm temperature, with an invigorating 20mins breathing exercise, then the cold plunge and hot tub steps, then all finalized with the infrared sauna. I can't say I'd return here for the breathing classes. They are anything but relaxing, more like a stressful boot camp with someone yelling at you to breathe repeatedly, coupled with super loud music makes it difficult to tap into yourself. Who wants to listen to club music when you're laying on your back in a freezing room? It's like torture. The poor businesses next door that have to hear the word "breathe" shouted 100's of times a day, it has to be a detriment to their client's experience. On the other hand, the staff was awesome, the infrared room and cold plunge were excellent and the only reason to go. Plan so you can enjoy it during a time a class is not in session or you'll hear the yelling during your time. It's clean and they do have a space to leave or lock your belongings~ read more

This place in North County, San Diego is something special. Taylor, the owner, has a heart of gold, and this venue should definitely be on your list of healthful activities for self-care. Consider giving them a try, but be sure to arrive a bit early for your first class so you can check out the video. You'll know what I mean when you're there. Remember to bring comfortable clothes, a bathing suit, a towel, and some water. That's about all you'll need. The community there is incredibly cool; I've enjoyed meeting everyone. Have fun, and if you're sensitive to noise, get their earplugs for the breathing class, as it can get quite intense sound-wise. There's a flow to the class that's very powerful, even with earplugs. read more

Jacob was our facilitator and is an absolute doll. He explained everything thoroughly, professionally and passionately before guiding us through an incredible breathwork & cold plunge experience. The first class I took was with Tyler. He's the GOAT. If it's your first time the instructors explain and demonstrate what you need to know. It might seem intimidating but it's just breathing. Trust yourself. There is a little work involved, but it's fun. And after a Yoga/ Breath Class the cold plunge is not so daunting because your body is pumped up. Ending the session with the infrared sauna is the cherry on top. I feel like an upgraded, happier, chiller version of myself every single time. It is super clean and friendly.
