I LOVE this yoga studio because it has the best instructors in town! There are too many good ones to name but I go weekly to Kristin's non heated vinyasa class on mondays for a relaxing, deep stretch leaving you feelings so good when you walk out of there. Shes has a fun personality and always makes me laugh. I also go to Sylvias non heated vinyasa class thursday mornings and shes the one to go to if you want a kick ass difficult class with a unique flow. So go to her class if you want to be challenged! Ive also taken classes by Jackie and shes amazing as well and does a more challenging flow. Jena is great too for a easier more gentle vinyasa flow. I've been a member for over 2 years now and love it! There's a wide variety of classes, high-quality instructors and clean studio. I signed up for a free unlimited week. I live right across the street from the studio. My instructor was amazing. I had not done yoga in over six years. She was gentle and asked us if we wanted any adjustments or not. I thoroughly enjoyed the stretching yoga class that I took and I'm glad that it is so close to me.It is not overheated. There weren't too many people attending, so it was not crowded. Overall a wonderful experience, as usual with yoga. Lots of studios to choose from but this one definitely is experienced. read more

I've been practicing yoga in this beautiful studio space for nearly 15 years through different owners and managers, and this is the best it's ever been!! The manager, Merida, is welcoming and incredibly efficient. She's also a great yoga teacher! Honestly, every one of the yoga teachers is great. The various classes offered keep me challenged and coming back; vinyasa and sculpt are my favorites. It's important for me to do Yoga, especially when I travel. YogaSix was less than a 5 minutes walk from where our family was staying in Solana Beach, CA. My husband purchased a 7 day introduction pass for $20, available to first time customers of YogaSix...jack pot! Everything is on their website from the packages to class schedules and descriptions. You book to reserve your spot and then just show up! On the women's side, there are plenty of lockers which operate with a combination you choose, so you can keep your valuables safe during class. There are 3 showers, along with everything you need to shower, except for the shower towel...though you can rent one for $3. We went to about a class a day while we were there, and most classes were very good, with helpful and approachable instructors. There is also a lot of random merchandise, for a studio this size, with yoga mats, fuzzy sleepers, yoga outfits, and more. You can refill your water bottle from their filtered dispenser, and there is also KambuCha dispenser available for a fee...didn't try that though, and not sure of the price. I came here for a much needed stretch yoga session booked through Classpass. The studio is located on the second floor in a good sized shopping center, so parking is not an issue. Walking in, it looks really peaceful with neat displays of their merchandise. There are two studios here and outside the studies are cubbies where your bags and shoes can go. The stretch session I signed up for came after a heated session right before. I was there a little early, so they were trying to air out the room. But I think what was the driver for this 3 star review is that the room remained stifling hot throughout class and I was pretty dehydrated afterwards. The studio itself is fairly large and the class was not too full, so there were plenty of floor space and also blocks for everyone. The instructor solicited feedback from the class in the beginning for problem areas to focus on during class, which was nice. Although the hour long stretching session was what I needed, my takeaway from it was that I got really hot and was nauseatingly dehydrated afterwards. read more

Came back at 1:00pm, place was locked up. Aug 6, 2023 Prepaid for the 1030am Yoga Stretch Class with Merida V. Arrive 1035am. Was on the phone with a firend in crisis and delayed. Told it was "policy" no one admitted after class starts. That is a lie; first class some joined 20 minutes late, space was even made. I have been trying to call Yoga Six but no one answers the phone there. I also sent a contact form on their website. Their receptionist at Solana Beach location signs up my account for future classes that I do not want to go to. She signed me up for a Power class and didnt even notify me. I only sign up for Vinyasa . The price for a drop in class is $33. If you buy 10 classes its $300. This is expensive for someone going into your account without telling you and signing you up for future classes you cannot make it to. I am just trying to get a hold of Yoga Six to cancel this weird class tomorrow I did not sign up for. So strange its so difficult to cancel a class. Im glad I caught that looking at my account online today. I knew it was a weird check in this morning. She sent me to the wrong studio. Then she asked me what class and I said Vinyasa. She asked me if Power was okay. I said oh isnt there a Vinyasa at 10:30 I signed up for. She must have been looking at tomorrow and just added me to tomorrow Power class. BUT TELL ME SO I CAN CANCEL RIGHT or go to the class or know she signed me up for another class. seriously what was she thinking. I cant believe she didnt say anything. Anyone who spends money here should keep an eye on their account like a hawk. Watch your account that you are not signed up for classes that you do not know about. Just had a nice power class here. The facility is really nice. I usually go to the other north county studios. I'd leave 4.5 if I could because the girl working at the front desk was pretty short with me and didn't look up from her phone a single time even when I introduced myself to be signed in. She seemed annoyed when I needed to rent a towel (which at $5 which is a bit much but I was very grateful to be able to have a towel for class since I forgot mine). read more

This is becoming my favorite place for working out. I take classes through ClassPass and have now gone a few times for the yoga sculpt workouts. I like them because they include yoga/meditative stretching as well as low-impact weight training, which is something I suck at on my own. As someone who also sucks at cardio I feel like this class is definitely my pace. The environment is what makes it really stand out - there are a lot of friendly instructors and front desk people and the vibe of other attendees is a lot more... relatable compared to other studios in the area! The facility comes with showers and lockers, and you can rent mats for additional cost. I would highly recommend coming with a yoga towel and water as the yoga sculpt class does operate in a high temperature. I have a membership at CorePower Yoga but I did try Yoga Six once for Dat's boot camp class. Dat was my favorite instructor when he taught at CPY so when I heard that Dat was teaching at Yoga Six, I just had to try it. Experience: Dat was his usual crazy self. Awesome class. He always kicked my ass and this one was no different. The studio was nice and clean. Much nicer and cleaner than CPY for sure. The actually class room was a bit strange though. I am used to (fake) wood floor but this one has kinda soft floor. A bit weird, but for this boot camp class, it was ok. I don't know how hard it is to do balance poses on this surface though. Too bad that Yoga Six locations are farther and there are not as many studios/classes compared to CPY, so I'll continue to be CPY black tag member. Regardless, I wish CPY could be as nice and clean as Yoga Six. read more

I love Yoga Six and all of the classes that they offer. I normally go to the studio in Carlsbad and for time convenience I recently went to this one in Solana Beach. I took Lise's Vinyasa class which was great. The class although longer than other classes (75 minutes).. it was perfect in every way. I felt the advanced push in my body and broke a sweat along with feeling re-energized with my mind and body. I especially liked the vibration and tones from the Tibetan Singing Bowl towards the end which was incredible and provided deeper relaxation: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. 5 Stars.~ ;D read more

I've been to this location a few times now using ClassPass, and have always had a very good experience. I have seen a lot of comparisons to Yoga Tropics and Core Power. It is hard to compare this to a Yoga Tropics, since the vibe is so different. Where a yoga tropics I always feel like a burden holding the front desk back from their own workout, at Yoga Six the front desk makes it clear they are there for me. The teachers have been terrific, the studio clean, the parking easy, and the entire vibe relaxed yet organized. There are many different classes, and they seem designed just as advertised. I've been to lots of hot yoga places, but Yoga 6 is my new favorite! I won a 10 class pack from an auction and when I went for my first session, the girl at the front desk noticed that I had never been before. First time customers get 6 free sessions to use within 2 weeks, so she added those to my account! So lovely of her to do so. The staff are always so friendly, compared to some places where they can be a little snotty/cliquey. I took a couple of the Hot 60 classes, but the Power Flow with Roxanne was my favorite. She is an awesome instructor and the class is a great way to challenge yourself. Such a great workout! And I love that the studio is super clean and they put markings on the floor for you to line up your mats. I hate when you go places and they don't pay attention to the fact that you're blocking someone. I bought a groupon for YogaSix because I specifically like hot yoga and was in search of a place of refuge after work to avoid the horrific traffic going 5 south. The studio is nice and fancy and I love that they have soft padded floors instead of hardwood- it's much different! Lastly, I love the fact that they offer a lot of classes. Fancy yoga studio in the Solana Beach area up in north county SD. There are multiple locations here in town, but I wanted to check out the hype. I did a hot yoga class here via Class Pass and was amazed by their amenities. This place has fancy locker rooms, clean shower, and comfy yoga room flooring. I did a hot yoga vinyasa flow with Yasmine on a Saturday. It was a full class, but it "flowed" (pun totally intended) quite nicely. Yasmine guided us through the practice with grace, and I had an awesome time recharging myself and my body during the class. You can hear her no problem, and my movements prescribed all served me well. It is a very clean business, and they do ask for masking until you reach your mat. Then it is at your discretion. Depending on your comfort level and preferences, you can leave your mask on during the entire practice or take it off. The staff here were very helpful and answered any of my questions that I had. I know there are plenty of yoga studios around North County, but if you want to experience a higher tier hot vinyasa flow to check this place out. They got packages and sell yoga equipment too. Updating this *again* to a slightly higher rating of three stars because there are two teachers I like here: Lora Heiner and Ashton Szabo. Lora's classes are fun and challenging, and she has an advanced practice so she knows how to teach advanced postures. Kenna's classes are also decent. Hopefully due to my slightly higher rating, this doesn't warrant a reply from a certain Y6 employee (I don't want to talk to you, nor do I want to negotiate a solution. Stop messaging me, please). I'm not really impressed with the other teachers, but I think they're better than the ones in the Point Loma location. The classes in that location are too hot; some of the teachers know when to cool down the room but many of them keep it at an extremely uncomfortable heat even while we're winding down towards savasana. At least the majority of the teachers here know when to shut it off or at least lower the heat. read more

Old member of yoga six for 2 years in 2014- 2016, love yoga six usually the old days and love the other location of 4s Ranch and La Jolla locations. Friendly staff and easy to find. However I don't quite like this location because of the busy traffic of this plaza and hard to locate this yoga place (upstair with small yoga six sign) Called the front desk for direction and front desk keep on telling me they are located at Alfonso restaurant which is not popular place to find instead of give me more instructions such as east, south, west or North of the plaza. I was using class pass to register the class but seems not welcome for Class Pass member. read more

I've been going to Yoga Six for years and have found an amazing community of the most outstanding people. A few weeks ago I came out of class and learned my sandals were missing. My initial thought was that someone was in a hurry and mistakenly took them. I spoke with the staff and checked the lost and found over the course of the following week only to come up empty. I was annoyed, but eventually surrendered to the notion that someone needed them more than I did. The other day I received a message from the Manager, Chris Orr. I use to take classes here when it was Haute Yoga, but then I moved. I have since moved back, so went in for a visit to find out about prices and packages. The staff was super welcoming, friendly and helpful. I can't wait to start taking classes here again and they have added more classes that I am looking forward to trying out!
