Please do NOT take your child here. This was my sons dentist office. He had a few cavities so they referred him a few doors down to Tooth Fairy Dental. (Which is not even on the maps) My son had no problems whatsoever at the dentist before this. After going to this dentist my son is traumatized. They would not let me go back with him and said he was extremely fidgety which was not normal for him. He said she did not give him breaks like we discussed each time. He had a few cavities which she said he needed to go separate appointments for each one which seems abnormal given my son has never had issues before. He ended up going 4 times and getting shots and treatment each time. My son is 5! Soon after our appointment my son complained of tooth pain. I didn't think much of it until a few days later it got so bad he was constantly screaming. I took him to CHILDREN'S CHOICE DENTAL in Vacaville and they said that the teeth were drilled into and left unfilled. Either they never filled it or the filling popped off soon after application. Because of this my 5 year old has to have a silver cap placed on one tooth and another tooth pulled out. This was excruciating for him because of the infection that was caused because of this dentist office. It was horrible for my son and horrible for me to see him in so much pain and to see his extreme fear now of dentists. Please! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE OR TO TOOTH FAIRY DENTAL. There are other options even state insurance. Really do your research and put your child's best interests at heart. I don't want any other child to go through something like this here. read more

I have received excellent dental care for 20+ years. Unfortunately, the office service has become inefficient. They rarely answer their phones now, do not turn on their answering machine, and do not post an open/closed sign on their door. Several of us waited for the office to open, only to find it had been open for 20 minutes, which delayed our appointments. Worst dentist I've ever experienced and the office workers are lame too. Admitted to attempting to extort me for 50$ before I could be seen when I am on medi-cal. Tantamount to highway robbers and the lowest quality dental work I've ever encountered. Dentists in prison were better than this place, if that says anything. The guy talked me into accepting a crown that doesn't even fit right and the color was off. He obviously only cares about his pocketbook, there's little to no pride in his work. Worst dental experience ever. Starting with me having to wait an hour to be seen. I came in at the same time as a few other patients who had appointments at the same time and they all went back way before me. The office equipment was very outdated and I'm pretty sure the X Ray machine wasn't even working. The dentist only spent like 10 seconds looking at my teeth and didn't throughly go over my concerns. The lady who cleaned my teeth rushed so fast and it was extremely painful. I've gotten consistent dental care for my whole life and have never had such a horrible experience. read more

I went to Yolo Dental to have a new set of dentures made. I'm 65, Had dentures for 6 years, And on MediCal. Don't go there for dentures. The ones I got, were too big, bad overbite, bottom ones hurt like hell, and only 24 teeth in them. Maybe I wrong, But a human has 28, And 4 wisdom. VERY POOR QUALITY!! I left here practically in tears. Dr. Lam seemed like he was in a rush to get to lunch and was so inefficient. The assistant had to remind him of the 2nd issue that needed attention. He said he couldn't help me and I needed a crown. He didn't explain how much it would cost or what the next steps would be. He said all he could do for me was give me a cleaning and then abruptly asked if I wanted one. Needless to say I didn't. He was inefficient, abrasive and seemed not to care about me or my needs. We had our first appt today with our son and an alert dad discovered that the tools were all rusty and when he called them out on it he was called a liar. The alert dad took the rusty drill bit and they were yelling at him to give it back when he rushed to the waiting room to show us all what they were placing in our and our children's mouth, we took pics and told him to get a hold of a lawyer and the BBB. This place is horrible. Appointment was scheduled at 2:30pm and the dentist did not come in the room until 4:45pm for only 5 minutes to do a dental exam, and this was after I asked them. Once I asked the assistant if someone was coming soon since we had been waiting so long, she said "Oh your kidding". Dr. Lam then came in the room. I also heard him speak very rudely to the person whose teeth he was cleaning in the room across us. Everyone in the waiting room was complaining about the long wait. Incompetent and unprofessional staff. I took my 81 year old father here to get a new pair of dentures. He's been wearing the same pair for over 10 years. Some of the teeth are broken. When we arrived, we had to wait over an hour for our appointment because the dentist was running late and had not made it to the office yet. No one called in advance to give us a heads up or to reschedule. My father can't sit for long periods of time. Regardless, we waited. Once the dentist arrived, he was incredibly rude to us. He didn't introduce himself or apologize for the hour and a half wait. He took once glance at my father's dentures and said he didn't need a new pair. And left the room in less than 5 minutes. I was in disbelief and had to argue with the staff for them to even submit a request to his insurance company. It's been months now and they have finally called us to say his dentures have been approved. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else. read more

One week ago on a Monday I called the office and no answer. I was in horrible pain! No one left a message of any kind on voice mail as to when they would be in the office. I had a horrible throbbing tooth issue. I actually found out I had a totally cracked tooth from top to bottom with an infected gum/tooth. You can imagine the pain I was in. Finally, someone answered the phone to tell me I could not be helped. The office was closed for the entire week. No notice on the door where I spent an hour waiting for them, crying. No message on their answering machine. I went to another dr. and got help immediately and a referral for a root canal that was performed the next day. They cleaned the infected area and put a temporary filling in to ease the pain until I could get the tooth extracted. Now, this office wants me to pay $15 to get my x rays sent to my new dentist! Unbelievable, I already paid for the x rays when they were taken! I guess they really need the $15 ???? Please, always check reviews before you choose a dentist. Do not choose this dentist! I will start off to say that Brenda the dentist in charge has failed to provide quality dentist care for my son. I highly recommend that you don't take you children to this un-clean, un-professional place of business. The staff is very rude along with no knowledge of what they are doing. I think there may be a disconnect with the dentist in validating her patients main complaints. My partner went in there complaining of an abscesses tooth and only wanted this addressed. She examined him and then immediately began to work on other teeth that wasn't in his original complaint. He had to stop her, and only then she told him she had to refer him to another doctor for his original complaint. It appears she just wanted to start work without providing the required estimate to the patient. Also, she never introduce herself to him when walking into the room. There was no connection doctor to patient. We don't recommend this dentist. read more

When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted and asked to fill out several forms of paperwork. After having filled out all of the forms and waiting an additional half hour after my appointment time I was finally called, but when I went up, rather than taking me in for my treatment I was told that my appointment had to be canceled due to the fact that they had overbooked. The ladies working the desk were nice about it, but I just don't think it is very professional to overbook to the point where you have to turn customers away. I felt compelled to write a review for this place because of all the negative reviews. I read the reviews before I went and was very nervous about going in because of them, and because of some intensely bad experiences I've had with dentists over the years. I had to go here because I have shit insurance and I was pretty freaked out. I went for the first time a few weeks ago. I only waited a short time. Dr. Lam was very gentle and considerate of my anxiety. I went back in today for 3 fillings. I only waited for 15 minutes and he apologized sincerely for the wait. He used the numbing gel on my gums before he gave me the shots so I barely felt them. He was gentle and encouraging, kept saying "You're doing great!" and "I'm almost done." Overall, I had a great experience and I have no concerns at all about going back. I'm in the middle of a lot of work that needs to be done and I feel very good about it. That's a big deal for me because I've had horrendous experiences in the past. read more
