The atmosphere is everything you want from a great boba shop: cozy, fresh, and inviting. It's the kind of place where you naturally slow down, relax, and really enjoy your drink. The menu was a delightful surprise--so many options, far more than I expected. I honestly wanted to try them all, and I fully plan to work my way through the list. This time, though, I went with the Taro, and it was hands-down the best boba tea I've ever had. Even the little details stood out. The cups are clearly high quality--sturdy, well-made, and comfortable to hold--so much so that it feels like you're drinking from your own reusable cup rather than a standard takeout one. That extra touch really adds to the overall experience. Despite the shop being busy, the service was friendly, efficient, and impressively fast. My tea came out fresh and perfectly made, without any sense of being rushed. The new owners immediately made facility changes that vastly improved the look and feel of the shop. Not only new flooring, but the display cases, reach-in coolers, furnishings and other customer comforts. They "tidied up" the place and fixed stuff - exactly what was needed. They also expanded the existing menu without taking a blow torch to it. From my interactions with the staff, it was pretty obvious the owners were wanting to learn more about downtown Daytona, their legacy customers, and the changing market. Changes they made were mostly tweaks, all seeming to be received positively. Since the new year, it's obvious Serra Doce is leveraging all they've learned and have made major changes and improvements. They seem all in. There is now a brunch and à la cart breakfast and amazing sandwiches, pastries and fresh fruit offerings. Truly, Serra Doce has retained the best of why I've always enjoyed my coffees at this location, and expanded my choices with really amazing food offerings. The service is great. You can mix and match the ice cream scoops to your fancy, and the pricing is super reasonable. They also GIVE YOU A LOT. In fact, the small cup I had could have been shared with someone. As for the ice cream selection I settled on, I went with their boozy option for the Bailey's Ice Cream. While the Bailey's flavoring was subtle, it was still quite tasty. I should have paired it with Buttered Pecan, but I only did one flavor. I enjoyed it, though. On my next visit to Daytona, I will be SURE to visit Cherry Hill Ice Cream Cafe.
