I was recommended to see Ali from 3Leaf because she does an amazing job. I was quite skeptical. For one, it really is heresy to switch massage therapists and two can Ali top Erica at Action Chiro? For the sake of my back, I had to find out. Located conveniently (for me) in the west end off of Stony Plain, you'll notice the décor is kept quite well with hardwood floors, chandeliers, tasteful Victorian style decorations. Complimentary flip flops were available and I was led into a separate waiting room with even more tasteful and colorful furniture waiting for me. Since it was my first visit, I had to fill out the necessary forms complete with waivers but I was also asked if I wanted some chilled water, tea or coffee. That's a first for me. I kind of felt like I was in a spa. Finally, our mysterious therapist, Ali comes to greet me in full scrub attire. She must mean business. We sit down in the typical style massage room and she builds my profile by asking about medical history and preference of what I would like to be worked on. I quite enjoyed the fact that she laid out expectations and asked questions right away. This allowed me to indicate which areas I would like help with and I think it allowed her to build a personalized program for me. After allowing me to change and get ready I knew right away the treatment was much different. She was not shy in getting into the trouble areas of my shoulders and if I had to compare apples to apples, it felt painfully good but much more thorough. She identified and released many more knots and based on my profile suggested that she work on the arms as well since I work at an office and go to the gym. Don't be fooled by her frame, she had some secret special reserve monster strength given the fact her effort dial wasn't cranked to full power. I left feeling very refreshed and had a good chat with her at the desk as I paid. As listed on their site, an hour long massage is roughly $89. What's also really convenient is this location allows you to log in and book your appointments online and make them reoccurring if it fits your schedule. It's a bittersweet feeling finding Ali at 3Leaf. I just hope I can drown away the tears of remorse of leaving my old therapist with the amazing massages I'll be getting in the future after switching. They always acknowledge me the second I walk in and will grab me a pair of sandals and take my coat. They have a cute little waiting area with tea and magazines. I've only every had Michelle Bullock as my massage therapist and she is amazing! She uses the right amount of pressure and some different techniques. I've seen a few therapists there and they've all been great, some better than others but that really comes down to personal preference. I prefer really deep massages and, in the past, have had a hard time finding a therapist who can consistently maintain the pressure I prefer. Then I found Mike. He is by far, hands down the BEST therapist I've ever been to. He shows me stretches to do at home, and uses different techniques to work the target area. I dropped by this place on Oct 2025, I was going to take only one session to see how is it. They gave me different pricing with and without membertship and they told me it is free to try the membership, which it is true join membership costs nothing. I booked the appointment for massage, gave them my info and credit card information. When I was there at the spot to do massage, I found that the catch is that you have to commite minimum 3 months to have the discounted price. Otherwise, the price is much higher than other places. So that is fine I can tried 3 times, I was kindly to sign the commiment/membership. (They gave me bunch of paper works, normally people were are not going to read them words by words, which would cause you a no-easy-quit) After you in the program, they will pre-charge your credit card then you can use it. My other massage places are not doing this, you alwasy do the treatment and then pay. Thing gets intereting is that when my 3 months commiment is over. I told them at the spot in the store on Dec 2025 when my 3rd treatment done, I would like to cancel my membership; they said they can not cancel it; they have me to email them; also I have to do it in 30 days advance. I initially, just wanted to try for only 3 times, see the screenshot, from Oct to Dec 2025. When membership finished, they do not give you a easy way to quit; due to the holidays and email cancellation request only, they kicked the ball, intentionally to comlicate and delay the process, so to have you miss the so-called policy cancellation period, and sure, charge you ahead and make you spend more there. ( cuz normally, people would not pay much attention to the rule and do not care since we covered by insurance.) Then I emailed them on Jan 19 2026 to cancel the auto withdraw and membership;(my 4th payment was already charged on 15th). They replied back to me the cancellation is confirmed on Feb 5th. see the screenshot email. So I was like, fine, they already charged me, I can use it then that is it. On Feb 28, I was going to use my 4th credit, they told me you can not use it until you make the 5th payment for 15th Feb. The reason is that, your cancellation submmited on 19th Jan, there is no 30 days notice in advance. So you have to make one more payment: 5th payment, then you can use the 4th credit today. I was like, my commitment is over, I should be able to quit anytime I want, and I did the email request too. This is such a rip-off, It is understandable you pre-charge my credit card for the 3 month term, but why when it is finished. You are still authorized to pre-charge me? This business is trying their best to squeeze as much as they can out of you. If you argue with them, they just saying you sign the documents. I understand I am covered by insurance, it is kind free for me, but this is not moral to do so.

They're usually able to find me an appointment (even on short notice) and the hours are super accommodating. They have an extensive roster of therapists you can book over phone, website or app. Big parking lot in the plaza they're in with plenty of free parking. Direct billing is always a plus. I've been able to find a therapist I really connect with and it's been wonderful. Pro tip: if you really need some relief, request the use of the Japanese mint oil. It makes a difference!
