I come here every once in a while with friends. The yogurt is okay, nothing special, especially for the price but I do like their variety of toppings. I feel like every time I go it's always a little dirty. There are always highschool employees goofing around behind the counter, but I guess that's what you get when it's self-service. read more

Stopped here on vacation. It was decent. I got some sorbet, my husband got some yogurt. The toppings were yummy - never had lucky charms marshmallows on a frozen treat before. The folks behind the counter didn't interact with us much. It's a cute little store with lots of seating inside and some benches outside. Not eager to go back but not angry we went. My family and I visited Yoop-Phoria on August 10th. We entered the shop at 8:55 pm and was instantly told," if you can get what you need in 4 minutes, then we're good. Otherwise we close in 5 minutes". Rude!! If you stop serving at a certain time, then post it on the door and we won't even come in! Yoop-Phoria's customer service is complete shit. The sweet Nutella flavor was absolutely to die for. It's really fun to choose your own toppings (they have over 50 choices!). It's not often I give something a one star. The only thing about Yoop-Phoria I liked was the decor. It all goes downhill from there. The frozen yogurt is watery and sticky. And it lacks taste. If you love Menchies, like I do, don't expect that quality at all. It's nothing like it. What makes this a one star, versus a 2-3 I would've otherwise given it, is that the website says they have Açaí bowls. My daughter loves these, so my husband and I got tacos a few blocks away and then went here for her lunch. Guess what? No açaí bowls. The employee said "we don't have them. We haven't updated the website in a few years." I then ask if there's more than one location. "No, we just don't have a way to update the site." Wow! Ok, done. One Star. Don't advertise that you have an item you never have. It's not that they ran it. It's that they don't have these at all. Very disappointed! read more

After reading the reviews, I can see how others might the think the flavors are tart. I thought so too the first time I had FroYo in San Francisco. The flavors really are spot on for frozen yogurt. There is a definite taste difference between ice cream and frozen yogurt. I get that it is not for everyone, but for FroYo fans this place is better than any of the chains we have in our area! This place is definitely a nice place to take a guilty or not so guilty depending on your toppings stop. Definitely some where that would lend itself as easily to a nice treat with friends or a place to take the family. Staff was friendly and helpful. In addition to FroYo, they had crepes and other sweeter options for those who prefer a little more sweet on sweet! I will be back to try those out! read more

Pretty unimpressed with Yoop-Phoria. As other reviewers have noted, all their flavors are incredibly tart -- in fact, they mostly taste the same. The tartness is really, really overwhelming and not what you'd expect from, say, chocolate or similar flavors that should NOT be tart! Other factors that left me underwhelmed: the two guys working there, who seemed to be in high school, were more interested in chatting with each other than they were with taking care of customers. We walked up to the register and had to wait for them to acknowledge us while they finished their conversation. Lame. And the canisters on the back wall were clunky as hell -- you're supposed to be able to turn the knob so that the toppings (sprinkles, etc.) come out the bottom, but half the time nothing came out. So you're turning the knob for absolutely no reason. Maybe if you haven't been to a good froyo place before, Yoop-Phoria would seem pretty good. I can see that. As for me, though, I will definitely avoid it when I'm visiting Marquette. read more

The store is very well designed and i love the way it looks and the customer service is very good as well. It is a little pricey but there's samples so you don't waste your money on a flavor you don't like. I've tried most of them by now and i'm pretty satisfied with all of them. First of all, I've been to yoop about 15 times so this review is written based on a lot of different experiences. Second of all, I go to frozen yogurt places wherever I travel because I genuinely love frozen yogurt. I do not love yoopphoria. I don't even see how they can call it frozen yogurt. It comes out of the machines 60% melted and by the time you're eating it, it has the consistency of tomato soup. Once or twice I've actually gotten "frozen" yogurt at this place but almost every other time it's partially frozen yogurt at best. The flavors, as many other reviews have noted, are almost all universally bad. Everything is way too tart and nearly indistinguishable from the other. They recently added a few sweet flavors and those are pretty good if you can get them on a day when they are actually frozen. Besides these two MAJOR shortcomings, the topping selection is extensive and the atmosphere is nice. If they could just fix their yogurt then this might actually be a place worth visiting every week. read more

All of the flavored are tart. They don't have a sweet flavor like some places I know of in the lower peninsula. This is the only frozen yogurt place in Marquette, so I will be trying it again when I visit another time. But unfortunately this wasn't my best experience. read more

Frozen yogurt shop with many flavors, too bad that the base that is used is TART. Tart is fine for fruit flavors, but sweet flavors? No. Tart chocolate? Tart Birthday cake? In fact, all of the flavors taste the same: TART. I really wanted to like this place... but being told that 'tart is how yogurt tastes' was a bit rude. I've been eating all kinds of yogurt for years and KNOW that there are sweet and tart flavors to yogurt. Owners: PLEASE consider using a different base for some of your flavors. read more
