Went on a whim only to be pleasantly surprised to discover they serve Perry's ice cream. This is the ice cream of my childhood! If it wasn't for them having my all time fave, Parkerhouse, I would still be standing there trying to decide! When we arrived, there were 2 lines & they moved quickly & the girl who worked the window was super sweet! Yorkie's has the best ice cream and custard anywhere around, they have 50 flavors one more delicious than the next. Take cash no credit cards excepted but there is a cash machine on site just in case you forget. I can't drive by without stopping to get a scoop of my favorite. read more

The best custard ice cream around. This has been a regular spot for many, many years for our family. After a day on the boat it's a treat to all go to Yorkie's for something sweet. Prices are fair and the people working there are pretty nice too! They have a large selection of hard ice cream as well as their "Flavor of the Weekend" custards. If I lived in this area, I would eat here every single day! We had the hot dogs that were grilled and put on home made hot dog buns. Cole slaw was interesting with bits of pineapple, and the french fries were very hot and crunch. BUT the ice cream was AMAZING!!!!!!!! I have never seen such clever descriptions of ice cream flavors and combinations. I had the turtle sundae with butter pecan ice cream. The ice cream was creamy with giant chunks of pecans. The caramel sauce tasted homemade as did the whip cream. There was a tip jar for the young people working with all the money going toward their college funds. Great ice cream stop. I got a small Oreo and cookie dough flurry made with chocolate ice cream it was pretty good. Just enough mix ins in the flurry. We went about 30 mins before close and it was pretty busy, we waited about 25 mins in line but it was also Memorial Day weekend. There's a line of the side of the building and at the front which can be kind of confusing for first time guests but I don't think it matters which line you choose. They also have tons of hard scoop flavors but don't always have them in stock so have a second choice ready just in case. Staff is very kind and polite I just wish they wore gloves especially during this pandemic. I watched the one worker grab a cone with her bare hand no gloves. read more

Nothing like a excellent ice cream shoppe and this place has the magic touch. The portions the flavors the location all make this place a treasure. First off they have a wall of flavors to pick from that start with the basic and go the panda paws lol. Tell your mouth to get ready for a sweet delicious journey. I ordered the super hero and piece of cake flavors and were not let down. Both flavors textures were creamy and smooth. Each has it own sweet and rich tones. I didnt go wrong with these two. My boyfriend and I had stopped here after dinner and it was great! A light drizzle outside meant no lines! I got the cinnamon bun ice cream on a sugar cone and he got the French roast coffee ice cream on a cake cone. They were both amazing. They serve Perry's ice cream which is my favorite ice cream of all time! All flavors are delicious and they have an amazing selection! The workers were very nice as well! Nothing but just great ice cream/ aka custard, so many flavors, got pint to take home, every delicious bite brings me back. Service is excellent, can't wait to try some food next time I go. Friendly staff! Custard included chocolate and vanilla with a specialty flavor for that day-Lemon. They also had a huge selection of hard ice cream. If you are familiar with New York state you'll notice a few flavors based on a school mascot. Price was great. We enjoyed sitting on the patio under the umbrellas. Yorkie's is a family owned and operated business. It was started in 1993 by Ron and Virgy York and was operated by the couple for 23 years! In 2016, their daughter, Jen (York) Schepner purchased the business to maintain the family's sweet tradition!
