Would give 10 stars if I could! When I first saw Yorkshire's IG ad regarding their free webinar about how they could help families save on college costs I was skeptical, but I decided to give it a shot. By the middle of the webinar I was sure they could help, but it was difficult mentally to commit to spending more money when we were already strapped due to college costs 2 years into our first daughter's undergrad costs. I'm so glad I got over this (their payment plan helped) because as a result of the very first process that they suggested and helped with, we saved $2,200 immediately (for this Springs expenses) and we haven't even done the processes that should help with costs going forward. I only wish that we had found them sooner (should've been scrolling IG more I guess). The good news is that, for our younger daughter, we will be using their services from the start which will no doubt have a positive impact on her college options (not just financially due to cost savings, but also due to opening up opportunities that we thought were off the table because of lack of knowledge). I wish I had known about this group 2 years ago! I attended a free workshop that was supposed to be 1 hour but was 2-1/2 hours. I then elected to join the 3-hour boot camp which was 4 hours. I have 2 kids in college, 3 more to go. Super helpful information. We actually worked with a different consulting firm for 18 months and I learned more with this group in 6-1/2 hours that I did in 18 months with the other group. Very practical information. Very detailed information. Lots of resources were given. Absolutely worth it! They covered an incredible amount of material efficiently and stayed late to answer all the questions and the Q&A. I just completed the intensive 4 hour long boot camp this afternoon. I feel so much better prepared to fill out the CSS Profile and the FAFSA when it becomes available. The amount of expertise and knowledge that was passed on to the participants was incredible and invaluable. Every question that I asked was answered, and the group session allowed me to benefit from other questions that i did not think of at the time. Phil has me immensely with the FAFSA for my daughters for college. This year we were denied because something that was reported on the income tax form that shouldn't have been considered. We appealed and sent in the appropriate work and we were awarded the Cal grant that we so needed for our daughter to attend university. I attended the financial planing workshop they had a week ago and I'm impressed with the quality of the content they shared.
