As a longtime Marriott member, I've never experienced such unprofessional treatment. There are far better hotels in Paris.

The hotel itself is beautiful with a French film theme. We stayed in room 512 and loved it. It had a lovely balcony with an enjoyable street view and the room decor was charming. The bathroom had good lighting and the pocket door was a solid door which I appreciate for a change after staying in 6 hotels in 1 month and 4 out 6 had frosted glass bathroom doors. Personally, I think glass doors look pretty cool but not very practical for bathroom privacy. This hotel offers free soft drinks and bottled water replenished daily in your room's mini fridge. All the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. I don't speak French except for a few phases and the staff made me feel at ease and comfortable with speaking to me in English. The hotel offers breakfast for a fee. I included it in our room reservation and I believe it was worth it. They have a nice variety of breakfast options to satisfy including croissants, pastries, bread, eggs, veggies, waffles, pancakes, cheeses, fruits, meats (extra kiddos for having poultry sausages aside from bacon for guest who don't eat pork). Breakfast is served Monday through Friday from 7am to 10:30am and until 11am on Saturday and Sunday. Another great thing about this hotel is that it offers complimentary snacks in the lounge from 2pm to 2am. Mostly cakes, cookies, juices, tea, and coffee. Also, this hotel chain provides customers with a network around Paris where you can stop into any of their hotels for snacks and to use the restroom whenever you want.

We had booked two rooms--a roomy and a biggie (245 and 250). To be honest of the two rooms the roomy was my favorite, it had a small little couch and with its smaller footprint the air conditioning kept the room so nice and cool. We loved the decor and the light filled rooms. Yes the bathrooms flooded a bit with the shower as some reviewers have noted but that seems to be a regular occurrence at many of the hotel we stay at with the more open shower design. The flexible check in time that Hoxton offers is a game changer. Jim who checked us in was kindly able to get one of our rooms available by our 9:00 am arrival helping us shower and take a short nap so our whole first day wasn't a bust. The responsiveness with the front desk with using whatsapp was also fantastic making it easy to schedule house keeping and request items we were running out of. This location is fantastic as well through sweet neighborhoods with a brief walk away with delightful boulangeries, boba tea spots, a really good creperie, ten minute walking distance to two restaurants we were fortunate to go to (La Apibo and Bouillon Julien) and a really pleasant flat walk to Gare du Norde and the museums (Musee d' Orsay and Louvre). It was the little details from the responsiveness to the whatsapp, to housekeeping, to their sweet coffee cups (we were half hoping to buy one as a souvenir but they were out) with their bright yellow ceramic mugs and cheeky words.
