I was quoted in July 3, 2023 to install an antenna on my roof. The scheduled appointment for install was made for the first date available which was August 8, 2023. After about a week, the local office called and said they needed to reschedule my appointment for August 10, 2023 due to a larger job requiring completion. A few weeks later I was called again and told I would have to be reschedule again but the dates given did not work with my work schedule and the first available date was today September 1, 2023. This morning I received another call from Mr. David stating the technician was unable to make the appointment due to his kids being sick. This is not a problem, life happens and emergencies come up. The next available date I was given is Labor Day but at this point I've had my schedule shifted too many times to want to move forward with honey do services. My family even ended our family vacation 3 days early to be home this morning for our 3rd appointment slot. I decided I will need to seek another company that can make the first appointment. When I notified Mr. David of my decision he stated that no refunds are normally given. I was asked to make a 50% deposit at the time of the initial quote in order to secure a spot on the schedule. Mr. David informed me this morning that that's not true so I have to ask why did I need to make a deposit? Mr. David said that he would have to speak to the owner to get approval for a refund. He called back and notified me that the owner would not be willing to give a full refund despite the fact that no services had been performed and would require me to pay a $100 administrative fee for contracts and administrative actions which he couldn't further specify or I could get a refund in credit for a future project which I have no projects planned. He also said they did not have a choice in the matter due to being a franchise location... Not a very good franchise model if you want to stay in business. I asked for the owner to contact me directly to discuss the specifics because I am amazed a company would charge anyone any amount of money without providing a service. He said there is no need for me to speak with the owner because he is well aware of the situation and was unavailable. I'm past the point of having any interest in honey do services perform a service for me but I do need a full refund and an explanation of how this could be perceived as acceptable. My advice is find another company. If you choose to work with these people despite all the terrible reviews, do not put down a deposit. If you choose to put down a deposit make sure you use a credit card so you have the ability to dispute the chargers when they fail to provide a service. Based on the responses I've read from the owner to other reviews they, do not care about their customers and they hide behind any reason possible to do shady business. Do not give these people your money. Every reason they gave me to not refund my deposit is shattered by their own contract. It's been over 30 days without the proposal/agreement being met so this piece of paper actually states that it must be re-evaluated before work can proceed. The $125 fee that Honey Do Services wanted to charge me is a re-mobilization fee which has no bearing on my situation. I've disputed my charges due to failure to render services.

At first I was thrilled because they could come out next day and have a look. But what was originally thrilled soon turned into exhaustion. The person who came to fix our appliance was consistently late and had very poor communication. He put a part in our fridge that still did not work. Charged us $280 for the part and the fee to come fix it and only gave half of it back when nothing worked. So now I still have a broken fridge and I'm out $140. I do not recommend to anyone but especially active duty members who just moved here and are having a hard time financially because of PCSing.
