Moved to Orlando from out of state and was looking for a great gym that wasn't gonna cost me a fortune. Was so happy that I inquired about Youfit, especially at this location! The Altamonte Springs location is the biggest Youfit location within Orlando and has more than enough room for all of your needs. With cardio and classes on the second floor and weights/machines and lime time on the ground floor, it truly has met my needs. Nori, one of the associates there helped my bf and I with the process of signing up and made it easy and seamless. She also constantly checks in on us and so happy we signed up with her. Only cons of this place is it does get pretty busy during the week and you are needing to wait for a few machines and weights - but this is to be expected, especially during after work hours. Overall super pleased with my membership, the gym, and process so far. Would highly recommend joining! read more

I have been meaning to update my earlier review for a while now. YouFit in Altamonte has a new manager named John that was brought in several months ago. John has done a great job turning this gym back around to where it should be, in a relatively short period of time. Gym and restrooms are clean, equipment is in good working order and the staff is back to greeting members and saying goodbye as they leave. I do not recommend YouFit in Altamonte Springs for short-term visitors or those looking for a non-commitment plan. I had an extremely disappointing experience with YouFit: - On October 3rd, 2024, I visited the YouFit Altamonte Springs location and inquired about a non-commitment, 1-month membership since I would be visiting relatives for 3 weeks. I live outside the US, and after my visit, I would no longer be using the gym. The staff was friendly and informed me that I would only be charged a one-time monthly fee of $65.12 for a non-commitment membership. - A month later, I noticed a charge attempt of $54.59 on my card. I immediately contacted YouFit's customer support team and also CC'd the Fitness Manager at the Altamonte location. I asked them to stop charging me since I had already paid for the one-month membership as explained by their staff. - The customer support response was as follows: "Per the terms of your agreement, your account must be current, and you must provide a 30-day written notice to cancel. Therefore, you are responsible for any payments that are past due or fall within the notification period. I apologize, but we are unable to waive any scheduled invoice payments. Please remit $132.89 to finalize your request." I admit I should have read the terms and conditions more carefully after being told by staff that it was a one-month membership. However, I sent the requested cancellation notice and reiterated that I only used the gym for 3 weeks back in October. - Despite this, I continued to receive emails demanding payment for a service I was no longer using. In late December, my relatives in Florida received a letter from a collections agency, Aldous & Associates P.L.L.C., demanding $194.34 and threatening to report my account to credit bureaus if ignored. Letter attached. I am extremely disappointed in YouFit and would strongly advise against joining or using their services. Their membership options are misleading, and the front desk staff is unprepared to provide accurate information. As a result, I'm now dealing with an attorney over an unreasonable charge while living outside the US. YouFit doesn't seem to care about customer satisfaction or well-being; they're more focused on finding ways to take your money, even through threats and intimidation. I'm sorry to those in the US who may also have to deal with a frustrating situation like this one. I ended up paying the the $194.34 balance from the Aldous & Associates P.L.L.C. collector in January 2025, but I'd urge YouFit to pay back that amount to me as, again, I only used their premises for 3 weeks. Fool me once, fool me twice. I used to work out at U fit, and I really enjoyed the experience, the amenities and staff. During the pandemic, obviously everything is shut down and this business chose to handle the situation in the most weird way by charging its customer's random, small amounts during the shutdown. They then refused to cancel gym memberships without someone being physically present. You can see how this presents a problem so after having to contact the Better Business Bureau, they finally gave me a refund and let me alone. This is where I become stupid. I really like the gym and the amenities. It's close to my house so I decide to give them another chance. The girl at the front desk tells me that she has to have my bank account information to sign me up for another membership, I tell her I'm not comfortable with that based on past experience and she takes my bank card-- so I sign up for another year of membership with really no problems. At the end of the year, I leave to go work in Mexico. my membership is up and I canceled my card. I also sent a letter notifying the gym that I am no longer going to be using their services. After receiving multiple collections threats, I called and left messages with the gym to speak with a manager. I have not received one callback; every time I speak to someone they tell me that because I didn't physically notify the gym they reserve the right to send me to collections. They also offered that if I Pay half of the collections and restarted membership, they'll relinquish the account. I'm sorry, but if this is not a scam, I don't know what it is. read more

I've been a member here for more than two years because I had no complaints for the previous management team. However, with the new team, they've lost the family-like atmosphere. Also, they have the fans off most of the time during winter. It's not about the temperature, but it's about the air circulation so members can breathe when they're already panting and exhausting Carbon Dioxide from exercising. I don't want to have to ask them to turn the fans on every time because last time I asked, the receptionist rudely said: "They should be on." Why would I walk to the front to tell you the fans were on? It's impossible for me to workout when I can't breathe. Eventually, I'll have to move my money somewhere else that's worth it. read more

After a nearly 5 year hiatus, I returned to this location. It is a pretty good place for a "sr" like myself, plenty of machines (the exception is there are only two hamstring curl machines upstairs), dumbells and KBs'. It is kept pretty clean with the exception of the showers in the men's bathroom, which are moldy. Finally, the music is horrible, all rap with some gangsta rap thrown in for good measure. Overall, specially for "silver sneaker" members like myself, it is a great bang for the buck. read more

I will begin with the reason why YouFit Altamonte didn't get many stars from me: you can't rely on their class schedule. The instructors may or may not show up, and there is never notification when a class is cancelled. Does the management realize that some people became members primarily because of the classes, and some finish work early or get a babysitter just so they can be at a class? Just today, for the third time in the past few weeks, I made great effort to be at a class, only to have a no-show instructor for cycling class. Crappy! On the positive side, this gym is clean and well maintained, with lots of equipment in good shape. And for the most part, friendly staff. read more

Out of all the gyms I've gone to, this is by far MY FAVORITEA. The classes, the gym size, the staff, and the availability of machines make this place awesome. I thought that the hours would be a deterrent, especially since I complained about the hours when I had a PF membership, but it seems like the hours fit my schedule perfectly. I love that with a lime card you get unlimited access to classes, and that was my main reason for signing up. I need someone to seriously kick me into gear! After being a member for 2 weeks and taking 8 classes I can say with confidence that I've found my gym for life! read more

I love this gym!! They have plenty of machines, plenty of classes and great hours! Some of my favorite classes include Body Pump, Body Flow and Yoga! So when I don't attend a class, I need a little guidance as to what to do but can't alway afford a personal training option. They have an awesome solution!... it's the Express Circuits! They have a little stop light that turns red and green. When it's green do your sets on machines. When it's red, stop and rest. Nice! So I have a full body workout by doing the machines in the circuit and using the light system. It's perfect! The staff is friendly and they're available to answer questions or help. The dressing rooms are nice. Nothing too swanky but they are clean and do the trick! They have lockers for use, private changing rooms (which is nice so if you want privacy you don't have to change in the bathroom), and hair dryers. They have showers too. Very disappointed how management handles their customers. I've been a loyal customer for years. I decided to redeem my points i received when i checked in daily. April i redeemed my points for a shirt and April for a water bottle. I've asked staff they told me to call a number contact the number, email, emailed on Fb messenger, and tech support. I keep getting the run around. So from March 2- til today no answers, no shirt nor water bottle. Very disappointed. Thought long and hard about the tone of emails and customer service. I decided to take my business elsewhere. I've been a member a long time at You Fit and I just want to say what a great job they are doing during the pandemic and afterwards as far as cleanliness and managing the gym. Why does a health club believe they have the right to charge money to cancel a membership? Oh, because my membership was sold during an acquisition in 2019 and I failed to be aware of the the month to month plan stipulation. YouFit has received a monthly payment plus yearly annual membership fee from me but refuses to make any accommodation for my cancellation although I have been in that gym one time in over one year due to health problems. If I could give less than a one star rating I would. I have never had a gym try to charge to cancel membership. I have never had my membership sold and had a stipulation I was unaware of slipped in. This is very disappointing. I would not recommend doing business with an organization that is more interested in collecting a small cancellation fee as opposed to long-term relationships for clients who could return in the future. read more

Extremely important that you read EVERYTHING in their said contract. Don't miss the piece about needing to buy out your contract. They rope you in with low membership fee saying 2 ppl can work out for $30/month for the summer but what they fail to tell you or mention is that you are on the hook for an entire year. Love these kinds of shady business practices and then they are like, oh yeah, you signed a contract. One of the major things you learn growing up is read the fine print. That's fine. Signed up about 4 months ago. Was definitely taken aback by the hidden fees so my $10 a month is actually like $26 a month. Then I decided to try their personal trainers. I was sold a completely different program than what I bought. Was told that I'd had a trainer work with me for 30 to 45 minutes per session, would have my nutrition monitored and be given a grocery list every month as well as have workout plans made for me the days I didn't work with a trainer. I was also told that if I didn't like the program that I would be able to cancel with a 30 days notice and have to pay during that 30 days while I processed. My first trainer did one full session with me and the next four times I saw him for maybe half my session (which was never more than 30 minutes even though I was told 45 minutes would be a session time option). He also had me download a food diary app but never checked it or logged into to check my progress. Never got a grocery list after two weeks of working with him. One session he double booked me with another client and had to leave my session to write her a workout. Then he failed to write me a workout on a day where I was training myself even though he sent me a text saying a plan would be waiting for me at the gym. After having the main PT trainer and others look for my plan that was obviously not written I asked for a new trainer. I was given a new trainer and the first thing I noticed was that he didn't really fit my time schedule that they had on file. But I made it work until our second session together where he didn't show up. I figured I would use the workout he wrote me for the previous day (a workout day by myself that I ended up not going to) only to find out that he HADN'T actually written me a workout. So that's two trainers, two workout plans that were said to have been written but weren't and one trainer who missed a scheduled workout without prior notice. I went to go cancel my personal trainer package and was told that "yes, I could cancel in 30 days but only after paying the first 90 days." The guy at the front desk was really nice and seemed genuinely upset that I was being dealt this shitty hand. Tomorrow I'm talking to the manager about cancelling without the fee but I don't have any faith that I'll be able to get put of it even though they're breaching their part of the contract. Don't go to this gym. There are better ones around. And its been said that the best trainers from this gym have gone to Crunch. read more

Avoid at all cost! They will continue to charge you, despite having canceled months prior to the end of your contract. I canceled 8/2022 and my contract was complete 3/2023. They continued to charge me and refuse to refund and I've hit a brick wall with any sort of response. They are a scam and have nearly 600 complaints with the Better Business Bureau, with only 46 having been even responded to. This company is an absolute nightmare. read more

They have tons if junk fees and do not disclose important information such as promotional personal training is apparently non refundable and expires in 90 day. I'm very picky when it comes to gyms. I've been in the gym atmosphere since my 20's. I'm 34 now. I've belong to almost all gyms spanning from West coast to East coast. I even worked as a Team Leader/General Manger of Chuze Fitness, based out of Southern California and Arizona. Because of my experience I look at a gyms personality and staff. Then I look at the cleanliness of the gym. When I first started coming to YouFit in January their pricing grabbed me but I did my research online. I looked at reviews and their mission statement. That's what had me walk in the door. I spoke with Alex and he showed me around. I almost felt like I never left my old gym. Needless to say from that first encounter I was hooked. The gym has a good atmosphere, good music if you forget yours, priced well and straight forward. The team members all smile, they've become warmer and more welcoming I've noticed which is an added bonus. They maintain the facility very well. I don't ever run into an issue of getting on a machine or using particular weights. I'm not thrilled when certain people feel the need to slam their weights and disrupt my workout, but that's the only con. All in all I'm happy where I'm at. I got lucky. Thank you. read more

Signed up three days ago and am canceling forthwith. Want to buy a car, only to have the dealer tell you that you'll have to pay extra to be told how to start it or be given the driver's manual? That's what this place is like, to the point of absolute rudeness. When I first went in I was told by the girl at the desk - I still have the note she wrote out with all the figures - that my best bet would be the $10 a week membership that would only cost me the annual fee of $49, $1 down, and the first and last month - I only need this place for four months because I'm going away on an extended trip. Only extra to the figures I just gave is a $10 cancellation fee - plus 10 days notice. I specifically asked if there were any other figures, like the backdoor 'maintenance fee' that some like to charge. "Oh no!" said the girl. "We don't do that!" Came in a day later with my wife to sit down and sign up, but was told by the new manager that it would be cheaper for me to sign up for the more expensive 'lime' membership, which didn't make sense - I finally figured that he was saying, in classic car yard salesmanship, that they were having a 'this month only special" where they were waiving the sign-up fee and that the only figure I'd have to pay other than the monthly membership figure was the annual 'maintenance fee'! When I pointed out what the girl had said I was told that she had made a mistake. I reluctantly signed on, even though I never actually saw proof of this mystery maintenance fee, and moved ahead. I turned up today and asked, as I had been told would be provided, for someone to show me the ropes of the weight equipment, as I have never used a gym before in my 60 years and just wanted a basic rundown on which weight equipment would be appropriate for my needs and how to use it. A staff member was provided, I explained what I needed, and after being shown to the first piece of equipment was browbeaten incessantly to sign up for a personal trainer or other add-ons such as ANOTHER membership upgrade, and despite telling the guy over and over and over that I had no interest in spending extra money and that my training times (9:00pm to midnight) would not be conducive to getting training from anyone just kept hammering away. "Why don't you come in on weekends?" - why, to suit him? The guy clearly had zero interest in showing me how to work the gear, only up-selling me to get a commission, and when I finally got it through to him that I just wanted to be shown how to use the equipment and nothing else just said sullenly "okay, here's how it works. Everything in here works to resistance. You either push on it, or pull it. That's it." Talk about new levels of rudeness. I have worked with customers plenty of time and have run my own businesses, and at no time have I ever stooped to talking to someone like that simply because there wasn't any money in it for me. So basically if it's such a state secret to use the weight equipment then the place is of no use to me - or anyone for that matter. No one starts out knowing how to use the equipment, and out of sheer courtesy and basic safety it should be a normal requirement to simply show people how to use the gear - I was told that this is exactly what would apply after I joined. I wasn't asking for 'personal training' or specialist knowledge - just to be given a rundown on how to use the damn stuff and which pieces of equipment would best suit me. I hope someone injures themselves under such circumstances and sues the company for not providing a basic understanding of the equipment. If all that's left to me at this place is cardio work involving walking, running, cycling etc I can do that in my own time and for free. I can find exercise routines to tone up my muscles at home. ********* Update. The follow-up note is a response from corporate headquarters that they send out automatically to try and look like they care. It's a pile of BS - the local outfit couldn't give a damn nor does corporate, as they have my contact details and could have tried to fix this. The silence has been deafening because they clearly operate to the kind of aggressive up-sell model I dealt with today and which is expected of them by headquarters. I get the up-sell routine and its roll in their business model. But there comes a time during the sales pitch where an individual realizes that he or she is wasting her breath and moves on with a smile. The guy concerned just wouldn't give it a rest, kept hammering away incessantly, and went WAY beyond the line of being persistent to the point of being plain insulting and rude. It's a decent club with fair prices! Has a decent amount of equipment, it's clean, and can accommodate just about anyone on their fitness journey. The dumbbells go to 80 or 90 pounds. As with any gym, as long as you do not go around prime times you will be alright. When a little more advanced in your fitness journey a little knowledge on how to manipulate different machines or weights when there isn't a specific piece of equipment will come in helpful. I describe it as if a larger commercial gym like golds or la fitness had a baby with planet fitness. As far as machine and weights go. Overall I like it. read more

This place deserves negative stars, it is a disgrace. The machines are NOT wiped down regularly, the bathrooms stink, they are out of paper towels ALL the time, one particular trainer with neck tattoos has made advances at me numerous times and the whole front desk is a bunch of HS graduates with no college experience that think they are still in HS and are in a clique. I have walked past them when they were gossiping about their co-workers and the amount of F bombs that flew out of that tall girls' mouth (the one with the long, straight hair) was astonishing. I have witnessed very uncomfortable & embarrassing situations, where management was screaming at their employees in front of members and children - unbelievably unprofessional. I think corporate should place someone there 24/7 to babysit these morons. And the review by that Jenny woman - really, lady? You failed to mention in your review that you put band-aids on you children's impetigo(highly contagious skin disease) blisters to try to sneak your kids into Childcare because you just HAVE TO work out. Or that time that the gym had to shut down Child Care for a day to sterilize everything because they had a Coxsackievirus outbreak that YOUR children brought in. And the specific incident you mention in your review: I was dropping off my child when your oldest daughter informed the staff that all 3 of your girls had molluscums (I had to Google it to see what it was) and i quickly got out of there with my child, as well as several other parents with their little ones. As I was walking out by the front desk, I heard YOU screaming & hollering at that poor employee - someone who was doing her job and trying to keep a clean and disease-free environment and you just berated her in front of members & her coworkers. Shame on you!! You ARE a horrible mother, especially since you dont care that your children are contagious and can easily transmit these different skin diseases to the whole gym, basically. Stop blaming cancer. Molluscums, impetigo & hand, foot and mouth diseases have NOTHING to do with cancer. Shame on you again for being so entitled. I passed by the front desk as all the "Team Members " stood around with gaping mouths and did nothing to protect their coworker or our (members) children. They then proceeded to talk negatively about their co-workers, as if her attack was warranted. I will never step foot in this gym again. They obviously do not take illness or disease seriously, they don't follow policy and most importantly, they don't value their employees. There was no support to the employee that day. So I was in the market for a gym membership and chose Youfit over Gold's Gym (which is right across the street) because you can't beat the $10 month to month membership fee (and also because Chester P. recommended this place). For $20/month you have access to unlimited group exercise classes, all the Youfit locations, and are still able to pay month-to-month. I love the whole no-contract-mess about this place! Youfit is fairly new so I'm not sure if it was somewhat empty because it was slow or because they don't have a lot of members yet. But for those who get intimidated by the muscle heads grunting and pumping iron, have no fear, there are none here--yet. teehee. There's also plenty of equipment so you're never idling or waiting for "that guy who hogs the machine". As far as equipment goes, I'd say they have a pretty good selection here. Most of it is basic equipment that you'd find at most gyms. There's plenty of free weights, machines, and squat racks on the first floor. I like that the equipment is organized. It's not like you'll have to hunt for the quad machine because it will be in the leg section (and not somewhere in the upper body section like some places **cough LA fitness cough**. On the second floor they have rows of treadmills, ellipticals, cable rows, and stair masters. All the equipment at Youfit is brand new and super nice. I'm a big germaphobe and was a little disappointed that they didn't have a lot of anti-bacterial sprays and wipes. Most of wipe down stations are in the corners next to the trashcan but the spray is literally chained to the wall (lol like who would steal the anti-bacterial spray???). So you have to spray the towel and HOPE that you get all the germs off the equipment. Well at least I do cause it's flu season :/ I'm definitely digging Youfit Altamonte! Great location, easily accessible, and very affordable. You get a lot of bang for your buck with a $10 membership. It may not be as "beefy" as Gold's Gym, but for you ladies who are tired of the annoying muscle heads hollering when you're trying to get your physical fitness on-- there is none of that here! For those who like to take their workout to the next level, I suggest you tour the place first cause it may not be for you. This staff and trainers at this gym are super professional and knowledgeable. I am training with Olivia right now and she has brought me closer to my goal! I've been going to this gym and training with Olivia for about 7 months now. I was skeptical to sign up for any membership after my last experience with a training membership. But this one is totally worth it and affordable. The gym hours are good for those who don't care for a 24 hour gym. I'm not a fan of cardio at 2 in the AM but I if that's your thing, go for it! Take back my prior review. That was before I got to know this place. The customer service here is horrible. I rotate between this and Golds. Why? Well as my previous review stated is because the people who work there never informed us my friend could get a free trial pass. So they joined Golds. I joined both because my friend joined Youfit. We used to workout everyday at Youfit. He quit youfit and now goes to Golds. Why? Cuz the customer service here at youfit sucks. Basically, they are unaccomidating. I can name numerous times but not worth it. Small stuff like I cant use one of the 50 empty outlets they have to charge my phone, yet they have no problem letting there friends or women do it. I cant use the scale. What gym doesnt have readily available scales? Equipment is always dirty woth sweat stains. The few nice employees they used to have must have left because I never see them anymore. Spend the extra few bucks and go to a real gym where the service is nice and people actually want you there. This is an affordable lifestyle gym with good prices. I wouldn't consider it a bodybuilding gym, so if that's your goal you may need a few other accommodations, but it's definitely a place where you can meet your goals. The staff is friendly and always willing to help if you need it. My advice would be to choose earlier hours if you can, this place gets crazy busy at night. read more

My sister in law went to this Gym, when it was Gold's gym, and when she died they kept charging us for several months until we figured out they'd changed the name of the place and then wouldn't budge on a refund; I can't say they're terrible gym trainers but I believe they are terrible people, if that matters to you. I've been coming here for about 4 months now. There's nothing not to like about this gym! It's spacious, very clean, plenty of machines, friendly staff, people that go there are not rude..and for $10 a month with an annual fee of about $50, can't go wrong! read more

This club isn't even worthy of 1 star. The worst customer service. I started a membership for my son when he lived in Hollywood, Florida. He has since moved to NY. Not only did I cancel his membership via certified mail, I ALSO paid for the 2 months that followed. After calling the club numerous times only to speak to a bunch of nasty kids running the place did I have to cancel my credit card. I am still currently being harassed by phone calls stating I'm late on payments. Next step is to sue the shit out of this place. I recommend Planet Fitness never a problem there. UPDATED I am thoroughly disgusted and severely embarrassed with the childcare at this gym. 2.5 years ago my daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. Initially this gym gave us a hard time and some issues. Recently one specific childcare worker has been targeting my children and specifically my child who had cancer. They seem to not be able to discipline or handle the children. In fact, due to some side effect of chemo, my daughter has had some skin issues. This one specific childcare worker made it a point to say my daughter could not come back because she was "contagious", which is entirely not true. She also lied and yelled and screamed, causing a scene in the lobby, claiming my other daughter had a illness or rash she did not have, even when we had a note from her oncologist and infectious disease saying she was able to come to the gym. She embarrassed me and yelled in front of numerous people and nothing was done about this childcare worker. I emailed the regional manager and still have yet to have any response. Even though we had multiple doctor's notes stating our children were fine to come to the gym. They seem to always have issues, specifically with my children, and cannot handle them. I tried to come back, because I do like the workout classes and the same employee was there. She had even more issues with my children and at pickup She then proceeded today to tell me I was a bad parent and that she has talked to other parents that come to the gym about my child and my and how she cannot believe I would still bring my child, and other people and parents agree, since she has cancer. Clearly she doesn't know the situation and that my daughter is cancer free and very much able to play with other children. Nor does she know what we have walked through over the last 2.5 years. She continued to harass and yell at me till I left crying and I once again told the management on duty. However, nothing was done. I am so disappointed and horrified that this same worker even has a job. She continued to harrass and yell at me and I was told once again that management could do nothing because there was no management on the weekends. Don't worry, I will find someone who can deal with this. I can honestly say I have not been made to feel so little and so embarrassed. I cannot believe that nothing has been done and no one will call me. Please stay far far away from this gym with your children UPDATED I finally heard back from the Regional manager. He handled the situation very well. He had been out of town and sick and that is why he had not responded. He assured me that I no longer needed to worry about being harassed and that this would bring about new training in all of the childcare areas. He was greatly apologetic and I really believe he had made things right. Like I said before, it really is a good gym but just needs some help in the childcare department.
