After visiting several locations, the Taft YouFit is my favorite. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They always greet you with a smile. When I was interested in learning how to include boxing in my workouts, Rafael, a staff member was very helpful in getting me started by giving me tips, showing me how to take the proper stand and properly hit the bag. He continues to check on me when I include it during my workouts giving me lots of encouragement. I really appreciate his guidance and support. Another staff member that expresses encouragement is Chris no matter which piece of equipment I'm using. Both Rafael and Chris are remarkable and make my workouts positive and fun which makes me want to come each day. I always spread a good word about this location. read more

I've been coming to this gym for years and overtime, especially with the new management it's under with Abram and Jordan, this gym has been well maintained and kept clean. They make sure that everything is stocked, from the drink cooler, to the napkins in the restroom. Environment is friendly and whenever I have an issue with something on my account, I go up to the front desk and they're always very helpful to me. John and Tiara are exceptional and wonderful! The cleanliness of this gym has gone WAY DOWN! I've been a member with Youfit since 2014. The Taft and Douglas location since before it because a Youfit. I've seen many changes to equipment, layout and staff. It's bad enough that prices everywhere are going up including my monthly membership, but now I also have to deal with grotesque men's bathrooms that constantly smell like urine!! The bathrooms every time I go in have non working toilets, pee stains, feces, and toilet paper all over the floor. I am not usually one to complain, but this doesn't make me proud to say I'm a Youfit member. The conditions that the bathroom is left in at this location is terrible and I would never recommend friends or family to join because of this. It makes me embarrassed to even bring a guest workout buddy. Where is the maintenance person? There's definitely plenty of staff available that they all don't need to be sitting up at the front while the bathrooms are in that kind of condition. DO BETTER YOUFIT! read more

I have worked out at several Youfit in the area and this one on Taft is by far my favorite. Abram is an excellent manager and equipment is never broken and always very well maintained. Their staff is very friendly, especially Tiffany, who has the brightest welcoming personality! Lissette cleans the facility tirelessly and all of the weights are always re-racked and in order. Regardless of what time of day it is, Equipment that I want to use is in good order. Keep up the great work! read more

This is a great gym to go to on a daily basis. The staff is always friendly and will to help you with any questions you have or even if you need a spotter when lifting. The equipment recently has been upgraded and moved around for a better layout. All machines are in sectioned by each muscle group, so you can hope around with ease and not waist time looking for a machine. the equipment includes: Free weights, cable machines, weighted machines, trad mils, elliptical and other cardio equipment. If any of the gym equipment is broken, it usually gets fixed or replaced right away. They have locker rooms with changing area and showers for your convenience. I have been going to this location for years now and it is my go to location as it never gets to crowded and has everything I need to work out. Plus the membership is not as expensive as other Fitness gyms that have high monthly payments or large down payments. I highly recommend anyone in the area that needs a new gym to try out You Fit, especially if you are a frequent gym user. read more

Definitely the better music location. But unfortunately all the good machines are pretty taken at this location. So much so I ended up doing the bike of all things for the first 15 minutes . Didn't mind too much any cardio is good cardio haha. But the location seems clean for most part and people clean up after themselves . The equipment is in good shape and the staff are very attentive and proficient at their job. I was helped immediately at this new location and appreciate the professionalism.. 4 out of 5 read more

I love my Youfit location on Taft Street. The staff is super friendly. Ray, Shama, as well as newcomers Priscilla and Derek. They're always greeting members by name along with a huge smile. They keep the place super clean always vacuuming and wiping down the Machines. This gym has plenty of weights and machines and not overcrowded. Great gym for the price. If you are looking for a basic gym that has most things a person is looking for, this is your place. They have a bunch of ellipticals, treadmills, and other cardio machines. There is a full weight set, along with a bunch of circuit machines. There is a locker room with lockers and showers. They even have private rooms for classes, stretching, and personal training sessions. Recently they put in a little health store that sells drinks and things. The only thing this gym is missing is the recovery stuff. There is a hot tub, but it is not working. There is no steam room or sauna. The staff is friendly and it is never over crowded. If it just had the couple of spa-type amenities, it would be the ideal gym. read more

Very disappointing that they have to resort to fraudulent behavior, claiming that they alerted everyone that once the clubs were open they would unfreeze the account ( we specifically requested The accounts remain frozen until we asked for it to be unfrozen ) but we did not receive that information and they have been charging us all along and will not provide a refund. I love this gym. I just joined a few days ago and it's been great. It's clean and the staff has been friendly so far. Machines are always available for my use when I go. I actually like this gym better than 24 hour and LA fitness. No Youfit does not have classes but that's not a deal breaker for me. I also love the fact that all of the cardio machines have a tv, USB port, iPhone charger, fans, and a headphone connect. So far no complaints for me. read more

This is my gym! I love it for its simplicity. It has everything I need and nothing I don't want. For $15 a month, it fits in perfectly with my budget. They have quite a number of treadmills and elliptical machines, 2 stairmasters, and a good amount of free weights. If you upgrade to be a Lime card member ($20 a month), you get 1/2 off all drinks. I don't buy drinks that often so I haven't taken advantage but if you're a person that buys water and muscle milk often, it would be a good investment. My only pet peeve is that gym members don't put the weights back in their proper place so you're often walking around the gym looking for 5 or 10 pounders. Why can't people be more considerate? I'm afraid to see what their homes look like. It's not Youfit's fault, just the people. If you're looking for a clean gym without all the bells and whistles, check out Youfit. The 1st year is $10 a month so it's really inexpensive. They'll be seeing me tomorrow :-) read more

Facility is ok. They sell way too many memberships so it is too busy to work out during peak times. Decided to cancel my membership and found out that they charge you $25 to cancel in addition to your last month's membership. Horrible customer service too. I was working with the front desk attendant on my account. When the phone started to ring. She answered it asking me to hold on and proceeded to help the customer on the phone. Leaving me to stand there and wait for 15 mins. From my experience in customer service, the customer standing in front of you takes precedence over a phone customer every time... Am I wrong? I absolutely enjoy this gym. They have great equipment and if you come to workout like you should then this is the gym for you. It may not be as fancy as Equinox, 24 hour fitness and others, but it has everything they do minus a pool and classess. The best thing about this gym is that you can get in with no down and $10 a month. I upgraded to $20 a month and I can get unlimited tanning and I can always have 1 guest with me everyday so that is my husband. Not to mention that if you upgrade to the VIP like I did you can visit any loaction and get 25% or something like that on their shakes, drinks and water. read more

I've been coming to this Youfit Location for the better part of 2 years. It's a very small gym (compared to other locations), but it works for me. It's so close to my house and it's never overcrowded, except for Mondays. I love coming here on weekends because I can get a good workout in and not worry about the line for a machine. Yes, the prices are very cheap, I pay about $20/month and I can go to any youfit in the country and even take a class at the location on Pines, and it's all included in my membership! I'm giving THIS LOCATION 3 stars because they have ALOT of work to do construction wise. The sign stating about the bathrooms being under construction has been there too long and I've been there on several occasions where the AC was broken. And also, how about Free wi-fi? Most establishments in 2014 offer free Wi-fi, there's no reason a gym shouldn't. To sum it up, this gym isn't all that bad. The location is ideal, the crowds aren't too bad and parking is pretty ample. The staff is pretty friendly, too! read more

I joined this gym in May and since I have joined, every piece of equipment that was 'temporarily out of service' is still out of service. There are only 2 stair mills in the gym and I have asked several times as to the timeline of getting them fixed. The answer was that the owner knows about it and should have someone out soon. It has been almost 5 months and they are still unusable. The worst part of this gym is the state of most of the equipment. The membership fee is very low but I would definitely be willing to pay more for nicer equipment. The low fees mean that they need more members and the limited amount of usable equipment gets tied up quickly with the amount of people they pack in to the gym. The biggest positive is the friendly greeting from the guy who works the front desk most mornings. read more

WARNING !! What they DON'T tell you when you join is when, for any reason, you decide to cancel your membership. After over two years of membership, I E-Mailed them to cancel my membership. They never responded, continued the membership & charged my card another month's dues. When I called to follow up & make sure yet another month's dues wouldn't be charged, they smugly claimed that, buried in the tiny print of their contract, are clauses that allow them to: 1. REQUIRE a 3 week advance notice before membership is Cxl'd. 2. REQUIRE that you quit ONLY In Person (at the gym) .. making it inconvenient & giving them a shot to pressure you into staying & continuing to pay. 3. There's a $25.00 "FEE" to quit / cancel your membership. This is NOT what was said when I asked, just before signing & joining, if there were any other fees aside from the regular monthly dues. read more

This USED to be my home gym. Don't get me wrong, I love youfit, so this review pertains to the taft and douglas location. I've tried almost every location in the Broward area and have always been satisfied. Until one Sunday night, after my workout I walked to my car only to realize my car had been broken into. I get it, "it happens", I've heard plenty of horror stories...but then I realized, the parking lot there is really dark. Better lighting and surveillance is needed. After it happened the guy upfront was not helpful at all. Sure it may not be the gym's or front desk guy's fault, but when things like this happen they need to step up and better the security of its members. I'm the type of person who loves to workout and the last thing I want is to be worried about someone breaking my window during my training. I will not be attending this location anymore because clearly its not safe. read more
