They were the worst choice of a law firm I made. I paid over $13,000, $9,000 just to read the emails I was requested to send with all my evidence. In other words they were charging me to do their job. Every request I made, to obtain an Inventory, Accting & Appraisal, never happened, Lis Pendens on Trust properties, never happened, then they charged me weekly for drafting an Injunction never completed nor filed. DYW was Court ordereed to obtain a report from APS, 6 continuances, no report, only a request to withdraw from the case and zero communication with me for 2.5 months. Could not get case documents nor be apprised as to the current issues. The Judge allowed the DYW to exit the case. Thje following hearing I was a forced pro per requested a contuance. Judge Penny denied my right and due process by dismissing the entire case due to DYW's negligence. I was able to get at least the Police Report for the APS report that at least could have been used to show extortion, embezzlement and financial eldeer abuse to support an Order to Show Cause. Mark Young was paid a retainer fee of $2,500 to represent me in a related civil matter and never appeared, then threatened to black list me if I raised the said issues., and still has not returned my unused retainer fee. Don't be fooled by these so called professionals as they tell you how hard they are working on your case. They do not. They are crooks and have really jeopardized my case against Sandra Quiroz, a predatory care provider who was also a convicted felon now in possession of mine and my family's multi-million dollar estate thanks to Craig Aird, Mark Young and Taylor Williams. They need to be disbarred so their corruption does not continue to harm the public. read more

Mark Young is unprofessional, unreliable, and untrustworthy. He delayed our case for almost a year by failing to take his attorney responsibilities seriously. Mark consistently missed deadlines and disappeared for weeks at a time, with no explanation. When I reached out to ask questions about our case and he would ignore my emails. He would reschedule our calls at the last minute or not show up at all. When I did speak to him, he couldn't remember important details about our case and couldn't remember our previous conversations. The firm kept promising things would get better but they never did. No one held Mark accountable to do his job. After Mark missed another deadline and disappeared again, I had no choice but to fire him. Thank god I did because our new lawyer did more for us in 1 month than Mark did in 9. It was unethical of Mark to promise to do tasks he never did. If he could not do the job, he had a moral obligation to say so. My hope is that he will retire before he harms other clients like he harmed me. read more

The facts of our case were explained to the attorneys, and then the attorneys completely changed the terms with the other sides representation and now won't take any calls. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere for your legal needs, if my experience is any indication of this law firm's professionalism and competency. I reached out to Donahue, Young & Williams after finding them via Google, reviewing Yelp reviews, and checking out their website. Everything seemed fine. I had an initial intake call where I explained my situation and what I was generally looking for. I promptly received a legal services agreement, signed it, sent over the agreed upon deposit, and also took the time to compile relevant documentation, as requested by Kaylee. By promptly, I mean within three days. Kaylee and Sherry nearly immediately confirmed receipt of payment and documents, and all seemed well - I was confident that I was dealing with a professional and attentive law firm, and looked forward to getting robust advice. I expected this in a relatively timely fashion, as discussed and confirmed during my initial call. Five days later, I wrote a quick email asking when I should expect feedback from the firm, as I'd heard nothing since acknowledgment of my payment and documentation. No response. I called a left a message. No call back. Five days after my first follow-up, I sent another email, acknowledging that they were likely doing research/reviewing the items I submitted, but inquiring about when I should expect to any feedback and/or continue the process. Again, no response. Four days later, I sent another email, restating that I'd reached out 5-6 times (via email and phone) with no response over a 2+ week period, and asked if someone could take just a few minutes to write back and give me a sense of when I should expect any feedback/insight/etc. This was a relatively simple landlord/tenant issue, and I'd provided well organized information for their review. Under a separate cover, Taylor Williams-Moniz, the attorney assigned to my case, emailed me, claiming that her office had called me several times (they had not), and tersely stating that though I wanted an email (I actually just wanted a response rather than radio silence), she needed to have a phone call. I wrote back confirming my phone number and asking if she could ensure they'd been calling me as I had to record of said calls, and also suggested a five hour window of availability for the next business day. No response. I had to follow up again in order to get a response from her legal assistant. To make a long and frustrating story short, Taylor was very nice when I spoke to her, but couldn't adhere to deadlines she herself set (i.e.- she promised a document for my review on April 14th, I had to follow up and inquire on April 19th, and I then received a response from Melody Dosch, and attorney I'd who'd never heard of before under a separate cover). Melody Dosch was unfortunately not much more helpful than Taylor - and in general I found the law firm to be not extremely well versed on the law (in one instance, Melody told me she would have to get back to me as to whether my unit was covered under a common law that I was able to discover as a layperson, and which should be been considered in the legal advice granted prior to my question), then proceeded to go on vacation and refuse to put her perspective in writing until I followed up repeatedly and insistently. Mark Younger was also very nice, but also totally missed a call we had scheduled with no prior notice. I also never felt like they advocated for my position or were particularly proactive and believe they misrepresented my actions to my landlord's counsel (to my detriment). And obviously, I really didn't appreciate having to agitate for a response from them over and over again. I'd strongly recommend you look elsewhere, as it seems they have a burgeoning habit of playing attentive to get clients to sign, and then deteriorate from there. I also have strong questions on their expertise (at least on landlord/tenant issues) and have some ethical questions about their willingness to give advice without a seemingly thorough understanding of applicable laws. read more

My experience with Donahoe & Young, has been the worst nightmare! Donahoe & Young had been recommended by a Attorney after whom we had had a consolation with, Jane McNamara. My mother was needing to update her Trust and Will and was facing a serious illness. After discussing her concerns regarding possible interference with ex-family members to the Trust after her passing. Attorney McNamara felt to recommend a good Litigation Attorney to insure her wishes would be honored, without interference. After hiring Donahoe & Young's Attorneys Shelly Mosallaei & Taylor Williams and AGAIN voicing her concerns and naming the the possible perpetrators to the Trust. The Trust was done, signed, and notarized. My mother's cancer had advanced to the point of dementia affecting her decision making process, as well as, her memories of her wishes. Four months after completion of the Trust, the one person whom she had mentioned would possibly be a issue to the Trust, walked my dementia compromised mother through the door of Donahoe & Young, with the intent of having the Trust changed, to his advantage! No communication with family members who were there at the initial signing. They did not exercise "Due Diligence", instead they took $750.00 to begin the process! I have never written a review before, but don't want others to make the mistake I made. Do NOT use this firm. They told me they could take care of my case. Throughout the process there were multiple errors. I had to check and double check every time my paperwork was going to be processed. They often forgot many details about my case and I spent time familiarizing them on it. In the very end my attorney quit the firm and I was passed along to a secretary. Supposedly, on my last appointment I was to sign paperwork. Unfortunately, I again found another error that they didn't catch. They said they would take care of it and I would have to sign on another day. I called repeatedly for weeks trying to get an update, but was told they were busy and would try to get back with me. I ended up having to hire another attorney to finish the job. I have never heard from them or any form of follow-up from them. Stay far far away.
