The cats walked as if nothing had been done!! Dr Meyerer didn't cut off digits or knuckles; he only took out the nail. I couldn't have been happier! My furniture, rugs and curtains were saved ~ as well as my grandchildren's skin!! He and his staff have always been very kind, considerate and helpful during each visit. I don't feel rushed when asking questions, and he's very thorough in asking about the health, feeding habits and care I give my animals. Many thanks to all at the Garden Street Animal Hospital for your devotion and performance in providing the best care to our loved ones.

Started as an emergency same day appointment with continued support and treatment recommendations for bladder stones and pancreatitis. Although he put up a fight to stay with us, his age and previous unknown conditions prior to Dr. Meyerer won the battle. We were devastated but the doctor and staff were unbelievably consoling and sympathetic with us. I would recommend anyone and everyone to trust the care of this team to their fur family. We have since adopted three babies and they are all being welcomed here. Thank you Dr. Meyerer and all of your staff for everything you all do everyday!

I learned about Cheney Animal Clinic through a pharmacist I was speaking with regarding my dog's…read morecondition. At the time, I was completely overwhelmed and at my breaking point with a local chain animal hospital that seemed more focused on profit than genuinely helping my dog get better. Frustrated, I made the decision to pull my dog's medical records and search for a new veterinarian--and that's when Cheney Animal Clinic was recommended. I called and was fortunate enough to secure their last appointment of the day. I drove 40 minutes to get there, and I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I've made. Under the care of Dr. Ashraf Megaly, my dog Gus quickly began to show improvement, especially with his skin and ear infections. What truly stood out to me was not just the quality of care, but the compassion. Dr. Megaly personally followed up to check on Gus, which meant more than I can express. At no point did I feel like they were trying to take advantage of the situation. In fact, I was even told I could bring Gus back at no charge if his condition worsened--something I had never experienced before. It's incredibly reassuring to know that there are still experienced, compassionate veterinarians who genuinely care about the well-being of animals over profit. I am so grateful for the referral and for the care my dog received at Cheney Animal Clinic.

The staff here were extremely accommodating with helping me not only understand what the cat was going through, but how I could help her. Feeding, medicine, and general care instructions were given to me as well as a reduced rate first visit. When they realized how sick this cat was, they helped me budget the costs down even more to something I could afford. I also was given round the clock communication on her care/health status the entirety of her stay with you guys. She's been recovering very well, and it's thanks you guys, your helpful nature, and kind hearts helping this animal live another day. Hopefully she likes her new home. Thank you guys

My poor dog, a French bulldog, who has been diagnosed with bladder stones and this establishment knew it never really helped her problem. But they help take my money but having me do three separate urine tests for my dog. The first one I got myself when they handed me the container and then had the nerve to call me the next day and tell me they couldn't use it just so they can get another $200 and something dollars out of me. So after going there three times for those tests and her being on a UTI medication and then medication for sepsis I called them up and told them I would not be going there anymore. Instead I went to sunrise animal hospital and they have a wonderful caring compassionate not overpriced new veterinarian. She found the problem in 20 minutes, my dog had a bladder stone the size of a golf ball and that's why she was having issues. We almost put our dog down now we paid for operation and she's healing now I am trying my best to get all my animal friends that know me that go to Young's to stop and go to the new veterinarian sunrise Animal Hospital. I wish I could get my money back they really did milk me.

She did not examine our cat in our presence we were told he would need blood work and an X-ray. We then got a call that our cat would not stay still, from the vet tech Molly and that he needs to be sedated for and additional $140. We approved because we were concerned. Our cat had lost over a pound and we were worried about his eye. For in office blood work it would be an additional $50 - not sure why?? Our bill at this point is just under $700. We came to pick him up and finally see. The doctor who told us the X-ray was normal we will have to wait for the bloodwork. She said she could not find anything wrong up to this point. She points to her head and keeps hitting her head with her finger staying in might be neurological and I just don't know what is going on in his head. After 2 days we call them to see if his bloodwork is back, apparently my cats issues were not important enough to check in and see how he was doing or to let us know the tests were back. They were normal to, but my cat was still not eating. It was not the Dr Jenkins, but Molly the tech who gave them to me. We had questions that we had to ask Molly who would then call us after speaking to Dr Jenkins. We as the pet owners had to ask for an appetite stimulant because it was now 4 days since being seen and he still had a poor appetite and loosing weight. We got one and asked if they could send us a copy of our cats records knowing we scheduled him for a second opinion on Monday. She had put that our cat had Horner's Syndrome, never told us or discussed any treatment.!we also noticed in accuracies in her notes as to which eye and why he was there. We took him for a 2nd opinion where at this point my cat had now lost 2 pounds and his other pupil was dilated. The vet knew right away that my cat had glaucoma in one eye and the other eye there was something going on but he said he would need to see a specialist. glaucoma is very painful in cats and he gave him RX drops for his eye. He also needed his teeth cleaned and had a bad tooth. We scheduled an appt to have the cleaning done the following week. My cats issues was also given pain meds. Within 2 days my cat lost his vision and we were told it may never come back. We had our cats teeth cleaned yesterday and this morning he had to be put down. The vet said he thinks our cat may have had a brain tumor and had a stroke. If we had known sooner he said we could have ordered a scan and maybe helped him. Dr Jenkins never recommended a glaucoma test or neurological testing or seeing a specialist. Never prescribed meds for what she said was Horners Syndrome. My cat suffered and was in pain unnecessarily!! He deserved a better ending to his life! Beware of the vet you choose! They maybe the reason your animal suffers in the end. Pick one who cares and will take the time to talk to you, tell you your pets diagnosis, explain your options - not the one who has no follow up!

Over the decades we have taken 8 of our pets (7 dogs; 1 cat) for preventative care, yearly/bi-yearly shots, boarding, dental work, surgeries and/or euthanasia & cremation. When we board our pets they always greet us happy and healthy. I personally prefer to board with a vets office over regular boarding facilities because I feel just in case there is an emergency Dr. M will be there (or can be called) for any problems that may arise. As far as boarding pricing, it's a bit more expensive than others in town - $30/night for 13lbs terrier mix and if you board for 3 or more days their policy is to have your dog bathed; additional $24. They also charge for influenza vaccine if your canine hasn't had the vaccination. As far as surgery pricing it has been cheaper than other vet quotes & surgery went as planned. Same goes for dental care/cleaning. They have always treated my pets like their own. They do stay open until 5:45pm which makes it easier when/if you work until 5pm. I do wish they would add limited Saturday or weekend hours so I don't have to board my pet an extra day or two if just going out of town through Fri/Sat, you have to wait until Mom to pick up your furry friend. Nevertheless we will continue to bring our pets here.
