A year ago, my family and I made the daring move from Los Angeles to Beaumont. We finally started looking for a day care center for our 3 year old daughter in April, 2024. We were very nervous but knew the many advantages my daughter would reap from the experience... From the tour, my daughter and I fell in love!!! We were able to observe all the classrooms in action. Even the littles were doing arts and crafts! It was a beautiful sight. We patiently waited for her start date. And in August 12, 2024, we finally got a spot! Ms Daisy is her teacher and she's a true gift! My daughter has a lot of energy and was not used to a structured setting. But Ms Daisy has been patient and empathetic as my daughter became acclimated to this new environment. Every night, my daughter organizes her school uniform, and every morning she wakes me up excited to head to school. She comes home and shows her work with pride. She even gets excited to do her homework. My daughter absolutely loves Young Scholars and loves Ms Daisy! (The third week of August, one week after my 3 year old started), we were soooo fortunate that a spot was available for our 18 month old daughter. Before we inquired about availability, we never planned to enroll our baby girl in day care that young. But we saw how happy our 3 year old was and knew Young Scholars would be a good place for our baby to grow up at. Ms Cynthia has came into our lives as the baby's teacher, and has been a light! From enrollment, I addressed my daughter's speech as an area of concern. Both Ms Rosie and Ms Cynthia have taken the time to observe and unofficially have shared their observations. I say unofficially because providing recommendations takes time and progress reports are their "official" findings... I'm a special education teacher, I'm well aware that a school can't diagnose a child nor can they give recommendations right away. It's vital to gather data, especially when my daughter is still developing. but in the meantime, I appreciate the updates! It makes me feel heard as a concerned parent... My baby girl has been going to young scholars for one month now and this baby is making strides!! Before Ms Cynthia came into our lives, my baby would wave to signal hi/bye, she'd point when she wanted something, and would cry out of frustration when attempting to converse with us. Now, she's saying "bye-bye," "help me," "please," "agua," and the list continues!! Although my baby's speech is not where a typical 19 month baby should be, she's making growth and that's a celebration to us!! She's showing confidence when she speaks and puts effort when attempting words. I love that she gets homework because it reinforces the skills Ms Cynthia is teaching. My baby enters the classroom and greets Ms Cynthia with a hug, that shows the love and trust she has in her. & I can't forget about Ms Jobana, who's been an angel with my girls! Ms Jobana is another teacher and also supports during day care hours. My daughters usually close out the day with her, and She's so sweet and attentive! I love this place so much! This is a great place for kids to learn and grow! As an educator, I know how underpaid and challenging this job is. I love that Ms Daisy and Ms Cynthia put love into their job and it reflects on my daughter's happiness. This isn't just a school/day care, it's a second home for our kids. I'm so grateful that the universe put this school in our paths because we feel right at home. read more

After reading Tisha R's review, it became apparent she either suffers from amnesia or simply lacks any sort of self awareness. Given her unbelievably unhinged behavior IN FRONT OF CHILDREN and my personal experience with Young Scholar, I feel it is my moral responsibility to share what I witnessed and my personal experience with Young Scholar. A few weeks ago, I entered the school and immediately became concerned when I heard screaming. I quickly dropped my son off at his class to ensure the safety of those involved. Tisha seems to have forgotten the part when she disregarded innocent children and found it appropriate to scream at staff, belittle them, and smack items off the shelf and onto the ground. I'm baffled that this woman is more concerned with limiting screen time than modeling healthy and appropriate interactions. One ought to be more concerned with modeling good character. My son has attended this school for nearly two years and came highly recommended by a family member. Before enrolling at Young Scholar, my son was diagnosed with a speech delay. I made Ms. Rosie (THE OWNER) aware of this. The diagnosis filled me with anxiety and she handled it with sensitivity, respect, and care. She provided me with additional resources and ideas. She even requested his treatment plan to implement in the classroom. His speech quickly exploded and progressed more than it had after months in therapy. I credit Young Scholar for his progress. I find it hard to believe Ms. Rosie would ever address this sort of concern in the callous way Tisha described. It took him a short while to acclimate and there were difficult mornings. Ms. Cynthia was eager to integrate him and held him when necessary. My son is resistant to naps but she tamed that beast too. Working remotely allowed me the flexibility to pop in whenever I wanted and I rarely observed an iPad being used. They are occasionally utilized during free time and outside curriculum hours. Additionally, whenever a child receives a scrape or bump, parents are given a report and explanation as to how the injury occurred. We are asked to sign the report and the incident is put in a file. Also, the ADMIN she referred to is named Ms. Mari. My son would kidnap her and keep her forever if he could. Not only is she fantastic with the kids but you can see the love in her eyes when she speaks of them. Ms. Mari is the type of person you want to be friends with and I sincerely enjoy her beyond the care she provides to my son. Ms. Rosie is the owner. She can't provide information for a superior that does not exist. I hope this parent takes time to reflect on her conduct and takes accountability for her actions. My child is 19 months and he started at 18 months. His "teacher" was Cynthia. It started with me noticing how dull she was bringing my child in. She never smiled and always looked tired. She would make commments about my son having a lot of energy and not napping. After a few weeks it became clear that she did.l not have the energy for my child and expected him to just sit and stare at a tablet like the rest of the children. I brought my concerns to Rosie yet my concerns were not acknowledged. They assured me that they do activities but there were times that I would pick up son early and still, a bunch of kids watching a tablet. My biggest concern was each time I picked up my son, he would have scrapes and bruises on his legs and they would not notify me until I would see it in person and then ask about it and all they would say is he fell and that's it. It became concerning because there would be scratches and bruises all over his legs. Again I brought my concern to Rosie and before I could start talking about my son's scratches, she started questioning my son's milestones. Considering my son being new to the facility, she decided to examine him one day and made claim that he was not speaking and could not point out his eyes, ears, etc. My son has a healthy vocabulary and rather than speaking to me regarding his vocabulary, she started to refer me to an alternative facility. No conversation of any strategy to work with him. It felt as if they used the milestone concern as an excuse to get rid of my son because Cynthia is too old and worn out to keep up with him. She would leave at 5pm and my son would be supervised by younger ladies afterwards who would always comment how good he is and that he has a lot fun with them. Whether it be 9 am through 11:30 am Cynthia had an iPad going. I personally do not give my 18 month old a tablet or TV often so when he does see the iPad he is glued to it which would apparently make the day easier for Cynthia. One time I walked in after just dropping him off and Cynthia was sitting in a chair and the kids were eating breakfast yet my son had the iPad in his hands. I grabbed it from my son and Cynthia snatched it from me saying it's just a song. That is when Cynthia, Rosie and Rosie's sister who I guess works there as a "Admin" who by the way is not very friendly, starts arguing with me in front a room of 2 year olds about giving my son tv. The daycare is ran by Rosie and her sister yet when I asked for a number to their superior, they would not provide it to me. My son's scratches are still unknown and I pulled my baby out same day. Inwas convinced there would be activities, and academics. My son was supposed to be thought to be in a classroom setting. I thought since it was a school they would be limiting screen time but they don't. I've picked my son up before nap time and they have the tv on and even when I pick him up, again with a tablet. Cynthia is much more of a babysitter than a teacher and a lazy one at that. I highly recommend meeting her for yourself so you can see how unprofessional and unmotivated she is to be caring for such young and energetic children. Rosie claims to be a professional with years of experience but she simply quit on my child. read more

I send both my daughters here, we've been here for a year now and when I tell you I love this school I mean I LOVE this school! I was so so picky when finding somewhere to send my kids and unfortunately Beaumont is mostly filled with "preschools" that are actually just daycares, there are very few that actually focus on early education. When my oldest first started a year ago I remember her coming home doing her ABCs in sign language within her first 2 weeks attending, I was SHOCKED. About a month later she was saying phrases in Spanish, this centers main focus is education and it's 100% something you see the results through your child's development every day that they attend. What's also so special about the center is that they have their academic hours but outside of those hours they also offer day care for those families who are in need of top quality child care for their kids during the day, there's really nowhere else nearby that offers what Ms. Rosie here has built for the community. I have had interactions with every single teacher there, all the staff, the admin, and the owner and there is not one bad thing I could say. This place is ran by the most caring ladies who really do understand the responsibility of watching and caring for our hearts and souls. Ms. Daisy and Ms. Cynthia are so patient and so attentive, my girls absolutely love them. Every day they come home with pages and pages of work that they did that day. I made the school aware my youngest has trouble with her walking and she falls very often because she trips over her own feet, even with that her teacher Ms. Cynthia still keeps me informed on every scrape, fall, and bump but what 2 year old isn't clumsy and has oopsies throughout their day? I will say, even in a tough situation to talk about parents stay INFORMED of what endures in their child's day, my kids don't experience any sort of yelling or anger so I was shocked to hear that another parent had the audacity to walk into a room of 18-36 month olds and have a full blown tantrum and yell and knock things over in front of these young children and scream at their caregiver. That is unacceptable. If you ask my 2 year old about the incident she says "crazy mama" "scary" and "hit the iPad", so to that parent if you are reading this, you have traumatized my daughter. I am proud to say my kids go to a school where this behavior is not tolerated and that this family is no longer allowed in the building and we were immediately informed about what occurred in front of our children while we were not there. I love this school, I love its staff, I will never stop recommending it to anyone who asks where to send their kids!! Ms Cynthia is truly the best teacher at the school. All of the teachers here are EXCELLENT! You are lucky they do not teach all the way to 12th grade because I more than likely would have kept my child here until she graduated high school lol. This place is amazing! Academically, developmentally and physically my daughter is growing here. She's been going here since she was 20 months old, and she is now 2 1/2 years old, and her vocabulary has increased tremendously because of the teachers here. If I didn't have someone like Ms Cynthia "co-parenting" with me because I am doing this alone, I truly do not believe my child would not be where she needs to be at for her age. I love this school. I highly recommend this school to EVERY AND ANYONE.. if they branched off into Texas, I would even recommend my family out there to take them. These staff members are TRULY the best. Honestly, they truly care about the children and even the parents. We come first! I wouldn't want anything else for my daughter. I even get updates about her day, and I love that they help me get to where she needs to be at home. I enjoy the homework assignments that Ms Cynthia gives her, and we work on them at home. I love the holiday parties, the holiday activities they have, and even the summer activities are the best. My daughter did cry from separation anxiety when she first started, but not even 2 days later, she was PERFECTLY fine.. even comes home and talks about Ms Cynthia and Ms Jobana (another teacher that she will be moving up to when she turns 3). Trust isn't easily earned with me especially with my kids... but first impressions and experiences with this school have definitely made me a happy parent! I have two daughters that go here and was reluctant on putting my babies even into school. Pains me to see them leave home but knowing they are in GREAT HANDS like Ms. Daisy, Ms. Cynthia, and Ms. Jobana makes it ALOT EASIER. I'm not going to bore you with the amazing care they give all I can say is if you're in need of a school that really hones in and prides themselves in scholastic milestones then you've found the spot. My daughter has been attending here for a little over a year. She is now 2 years and 8 months old. I have seen so much improvement in her development since she started going here. She goes to school there for half of the day and the other half is daycare. They expose the kids to so many great things to help their development and to reach milestones. They explore different things outside, maintain a garden, do water play in the summer, play on the playgrounds outside, take walks together as a class, do arts and crafts, learn how to share, play with different textures, participate in a holiday recital (which was so cute and very well put together!), etc. All of the teachers are so great with the kids! The director, Ms. Rosie, is awesome with the kids too! She knows the kids individually and always knows how they are doing. She has a lot of experience in this field too, so she always has great advice on activities you can do as a parent to help your child's development. The pricing is very fair, especially compared to the chain daycares like Kindercare. I feel like Young Scholar Education Center is more of a family environment, which I love. You can tell the staff enjoy being around the kids and I can tell my daughter loves being there. Also, I love that they use Class Dojo so I get to see my little one throughout the day with pictures. My son has been going to Young Scholar Education Center since the age of 2. Mrs Rosie and the staff have been nothing but amazing to my son. They treat everyone like family which has meant so much to me :) My son has learned so much and i cannot express how thankful I am that I decided to bring my son here. I am saddened to know that my son has one more week here before starting kindergarden but am amazed how far he has come since he first started. With all the activities yearlong to the great academic curriculum that is in place in this school. They have more than prepared my son for kindergarden. There are only a handful of decisions that I have made and never questioned if it was the right decision or the best decision, and sending my kids to Young Scholars was one of them. My son and daughter have both been attending the school since they were 18 months old, and now they are ages four and two. Both my husband and I have been very pleased since day one regarding their academics, socialization, discipline, and organization. Our kids are above average in all of these areas in comparison with kids their own age. While I would like to take credit for this, I know it is in large part because of Young Scholars. Between my two kids, we attended YSEC for 5 years. Everyday is filled with learning and fun. As a parent, I loved attending the functions and participating in all the events. One of the best aspects was working closely with the teachers and Rosie, the director. They never hesitated to call me or talk to me about what was happening with my kids.
