Yeah, it's just a deli sandwich, BUT, the bread sets it above supermarket deli sandwiches as well as the quality of the ingredients. Hands down, without a doubt, the best deli sandwich in Camas! The staff person was super nice and pretty speedy slapping those Sammies together. But what really made this a 5/5 was an awesome selection of BEER!!! LOL Nice selection of fishing tackle catering to families fishing on Lacamas Lake. Yep get your Barbie or Batman fishing poles here. LOL So here are the highlights... 1. Awesome deli sandwiches which are reasonably priced. 2. Take and bake pizzas 3. BEER and wine 4. A small but impressive selection of gourmet cheeses, reasonably priced. 5. Fishing tackle 6. Super nice and attentive staff 7. Amazon pickup locker in front 8. Open every day, 7AM-9PM I really miss Camas Produce and the Lakeside Chalet. The Lakeside Market and Deli is a great addition to the Everett corridor. Family oriented, not overly pretentious or sleazy. A perfect fit for our little mill town. Check it out.

That said, the store has a great selection of items, even a matcha tea I drink that is extremely difficult to find! Being rural, it is nice having quick access to a staple need you forgot at the store or a quick snack. Every time I've been in, the staff have always been so very kind.

I've been frequenting the Fern Prairie Market for 30 years. It was a family market with a deli and…read morebutcher counter that drew customers for miles. Some of the best steak in Clark County. That has all changed. The 'new owners' have completed changed the market's layout so you must circumvent a liquor department that completely envelopes the front of the store. The staff is constantly changing and rude. One example. I recently stopped in to buy some fried chicken from the deli. It was 10 minuted to 7:00 pm. The sign on the counter says they close the deli at 7:00. When I asked for chicken )which there was a very large pile, the employee reached over and flipped off the light on the counter and said they couldn't sell me any. I asked why and she said it was too late. I pointed to the sign that says they close in 10 minutes, and she said they are allowed to close 15 minutes early. Tonight, I tried again to give them another chance. This time a new deli person, who told me she had been there 4 months, was extremely rude and condescending to an elderly gentleman who asked for ranch dressing for his jojo's. She told him no, and pointed to a sign that said it was only given with chicken. She said very sarcastically 'change is hard for some people, as he walked away.

Recently I went in and asked for something from the back, with nobody else in there. I was given a very snarky and passive aggressive attitude the second I asked. Then when the woman worker who stunk of stale cigarettes returned, she told me they were out. I confronted her because I could clearly see they had it inside the cooler behind the shelving. When I called her out, she tried to play it off that she didn't see it, but really she didn't think I saw that she didn't even bother to look. I let it slide, chalked it up to someone having a bad day. I came back today, several weeks later, to have a some propane tanks filled for an upcoming camping trip. I usually go to another local place, but theirs was out of service today. Kia strolled over to the propane fill at her own slow leisure, giving off inconvenienced body language. Immediately she began studying all of the propane canisters and not saying a word. After about five minutes of her deep expert analysis, I asked if something was wrong, and she told me all 5 of the tanks I brought in were expired and she wouldn't fill them. Even though she couldn't read the embossed date codes, I had to point them out to her. They were not expired. Every single tank is still within its certification requirement. I told her that wasn't true and all I got in return was that if I brought in an exchange bottle, she can fill those, then she walked away. My tanks were not out of certification, Kia just didn't want to be troubled with standing in the un-air conditioned shaded covered area to fill tanks. She casually strolled her way back inside to stock fish bait and that's why she'll always be a dead-end convenience store clerk. I went to the local professional place that does propane as one of their primary sources of revenue, and he looked each one over and verified my claim they were all within certification. Good luck with minimum wage, Kia Scott
