I have been taking my three vehicles for a number of years to this shop. I have a summer car that I have always worked with Corey (the shop in the Long Alley) to have my annual inspection performed. My experience with with that vehicle has always been decent. We have two other daily drivers, which have been serviced at Young's for a number of things over the years, most notably our periodic oil changes. My summary below is for the Main Street shop. I have both daily drivers filled with semi-synthetic oil and they typically are about $38. I made an appointment a week ago to bring my daily drivers in today for an oil change and confirmed the price was ~$38, which was confirmed. I brought the two daily drivers in today for an oil change and the total was $108.21, roughly $16 more per car! Upon checking out, I asked why there was a discrepancy and was told they were now charging a $9.99 shop fee as a result of updating to a computer system (in the past, they used a paper based system). They did not own up to the fact that the $38 per oil change price had been confirmed and insisted that the charge is now ~$54 ($33.75 for oil, $6.25 for oil filter, AND $9.99 shop service fee) per vehicle. Once I returned home, I compared to an oil change receipt from a few months ago and found ~$4 difference in the price of the oil. In summary, the price of an oil change has increased from $38 ($29.61 for oil and $6.25 for filter) to $54 (40%) in the course of several months, mostly due to an upgrade to a computer system. When a business upgrades their internal accounting system, it is not reasonable to apply a surcharge (that was not disclosed to the customer until checkout) to subsidize the company's internal upgrade I do not consider this ethical business practice and will take my vehicles to another shop for future work. 1/7/2017 FOLLOW UP: Representatives from the shop did reach out to me and did provide resolution for the oil change experience. I have updated my review to reflect this. Businesses some times do make mistakes and the follow up is a good representation of the standards for business practices within an organization. In spite of this isolated experience, I would certainly recommend using Young's Tire and Auto for service. Thank you to the management that took notice and followed up. read more

It all began on Friday. The brake light came on the brakes stopped resisting. Pulled over. Called young's no toe available as suspected. They knew I was arriving some time Friday. Thankfully I had an inspection scheduled for Thursday, otherwise I was up the creek without a paddle. They don't even see you if it's an emergency. They don't even give your car a once over to see if they need parts on the day of your appointment. It's now Friday. They Just got it completed with 3 minutes till closing. Guess who's waiting till next open day? Also, when I confronted her about this, she bit my head off. No manners. No consideration. I don't ever want to have to deal with them again. 10 out of 10 I took my four wheeler tires to them so they could put them on the wheels and they said it would be a couple days. Called me back in four hours and picked them up same day ! Will definitely be a returning customer and get my good word ! read more

I am a long time Youngs Tirecenter customer. Both Corey and Bill are all around nice guys who I absolutely trust based on the years of help they've given to me and my cars. We now live more than 30 minutes away so I started getting small things like oil changes at a shop near me. For the first time last month I had this other business do a big job and I'll just say I learned my lesson that it's worth the 30 min to drive to Youngs for anything more than an oil change. I have never in 20 years of service at the Tirecenter had an issue and am always grateful for their high quality and honest service. Thank you Youngs and Corey & Bill!! read more

I had an appointment to have my tires rotated and aligned. Rotation was fast and a good price. But they LIED to me , told me they COULDN"T align my tires, due to tie rods that needed to be replaced, a $200 job. Guess what? My tie rods are fine, they are solid, not a thing wrong with them. Thank goddess I got a second opinion. I don't like being taken advantage of. That is bad business. I'll find someone honest to do the job. read more

If you want to get ripped off i would suggest you go here. My son who is 18 had plugs replaced in his chey pickup truck. My son supplied the plugs because we were going to do it ourselves but didnt have time. We ask corey to install them and he did at a rate of $80 an hr and said it took 1.58 hrs to install. a total of 120.00. I also had a water pump installed and the labor for that was 1.3 hrs. it seems that it takes longer to put in 6 plugs than it does a water pump!! I have no problem with the rate, but the time he charged for doing it is a rip off!! In addition i had requested my old parts back and i never recieved them! Never will they get another dime from me and i will be sure to let all y friends know about them!! read more
