I have a well-established lilac bush that appeared to be dying. It looked hopeless so I called Starwood, a tree service that claims professional services. From their website: "We have team members who are ISA-certified arborists with years of experience in the industry. You can depend on our skills and expertise to get the job done right." The first thing I'm told in person by the representative, with a straight face, is they charge a minimum of $950. This is without even inspecting the bush. I ask if he'd like to take time out and actually take a look, so he manages a short walk to the rear of the house and tells me the tree is dead. They can trim it off to the ground and rake the existing stones over the area. I could do that with a chain saw in 5 minutes. I told the guy thanks but no thanks. I've been in business for years so don't show up cocky, arrogant and obnoxious and expect to get work. So, I decide to wait, continue to treat the bush and it begins to recover. This Spring the bush has fully recovered full of leaves, and I expect it may bloom. Starwood claims to have certified arborists. I imagine they should go back to school.

With the crazy weather and high winds we've been having it was time for them to come down and after talking with Tim during the estimate process I knew TB Tree Service was who I wanted to do the job. Tim and his top notch crew were exceptional and the equipment they use is impressive as well . There wasn't a lot of room for them to work but their precision in cutting large sections of the trees and using a crane to swing them over the house to their huge chipper machine was something you had to see to believe. They did all this with safety being their #1 priority and without the slightest bit of damage to my yard or landscaping (and I'm exceptionally picky). To top it all off, cleanup was done so well that the only evidence that major tree work had been done is that the trees are gone - not a stray branch, wood chips of even a leaf remained. Incredible job and I'd highly recommend TB Tree Service to anyone that needs tree work done!

After finally receiving the tile and sending him the second picture, he MUST have agreed they didn't match because he asked for a picture of the box label and told me he was in contact with your rep. I brought the boxes back immediately. This is when I encountered meeting you. EVEN if I had been wrong about this order, which I wasn't , you DON'T treat a customer like that! NO, your prices weren't cheaper, they were actually a little more, but you did NOT charge shipping. That is why I drove the hour to pick them up from Buckeye. Four hours into it...I wasn't driving another two to prove my point. I spoke with the sales manager from Adex in New Jersey, who covers the ENTIRE Northeast, and he confirmed that you do not have an account with them. So wherever you were ordering the tile from, your board would NOT match the official Adex board I had. Tom should have told me when the order was placed that that was not like your board. So it wouldn't have mattered if I wasted another two hours in the car, because you would have said your board is different from this one. So don't try to tell me that this could have been avoided if I had brought the board in. If you were a half way decent sales person, you would have worked with me. Instead, you charged $120 for TWO BOXES to return the tile when it was shipped to you for free. Plus, of course, 20% restocking. I just reread all of the reviews that your customers wrote. They are spot on! So here's another 1 star. You should learn to speak nicer to your customers...hence, your arrogance.
