There are qualified Nurses and Doctors who can perform a health check for STI's/STD's at your own confidentiality. Your results will be given to you by post or phone usually within two weeks of the test. Free contraception (emergency or not) is also provided. There is also a very useful website where you can find answers to common questions and you can e-mail your own queries to Brook where friendly and reliable staff will give you a detailed answer in good time.

The waiting room is often filled with girls and boys in school uniform, which as as 31 year old is a bit uncomfortable. The staff are friendly enough. They provide counselling, sexual health advice, testing for STI's and can prescribe contraception and emergency contraception. This place is fit for its purpose but that is it. I strongly recommend that if you are out of high school you should go to the Sexual Health Clinic above the walk in centre on Great Charlotte Street, or Abacus on Dale Street.

its a pity that Dr Smerdon has retired now, he was a fantastic doctor, and looked after my…read morehelthcare from when i was very young. however, the other doctors at stockbridge village health centre are just as fantastic. there is nothing they wont do to make sure that you are as healthy as possible, and they offer support to you. the doctors were especially fantastic in the care of my grandma, and did everything they could to improve her quality of life. they were as shocked as we were when she died a couple of months ago, and have still been there to offer support to the family. ive been registered with a few doctors surgeries in liverpool through moving around, and i would say that these doctors are the best in the city. when i move back to liverpool, i will be moving back to that area so that i can go back under the care of this brilliant team of doctors.

Onsite parking is easy and when I have visited the clinic it has always been clean and well maintained and my most recent visit during the pandemic was no exception, with current guidelines of masks, gels and temperature protocols being adhered to

Lyndsay is very thorough in terms of clinical assessment and history finding. Lyndsay carried out a Gait analysis, combined with identification of foot strike. The second assessment also accounted for the fact that I'd suffered a physical lower limb injury in recent years. Lyndsay adopts a holistic view and this was all taken into account in producing new orthotics. I was also happy in that my old orthotics could be refurbished in addition to the new ones. This means for me, I can leave a pair in my work boots whilst wearing the new orthotics in my own shoes/trainers. I'd recommend anyone suffering from chronic ankle, knee, hip or back pain to have a Podiatatry assessment from Axis Podiatatry.

The staff on reception are very helpful and they seem to have a good computer system as they are very organised. On occasion, the surgey has been short staffed and waiting times have been increased ( I have been kept waiting up to an hour after my appointment slot). They have a good idea for handling the Flu Jab, handing out raffle tickets so everyone stays in order! There is a waiting time of 48hours for a repeat prescription to be processed. Overall, a nice surgery with modern decor and friendly atmosphere.
