So it's my Mom's 91st Birthday and I'm visiting when flowers arrive from my brother who's not here…read moreso I call Four Seasons and talk to Daria who already sounds like she has a huge idea in her head about what she's going to send. Then the flowers arrived and they are way beyond what I expected. This is what a great, successful florist is made. I think I'll be using them again. The second photo is from today.....That's a 15 inch plate under the flowers.

On Sunday, October 20, 2019 I placed an order with youflowers.com who works with local florists to…read moresend out arrangements as my friend's father had passed away that morning. I ordered the Enchanted Cottage arrangement that consisted of white full-size roses, white spray roses, lavender stock and waxflower in a glass vase with a lavender satin ribbon. I paid extra for two things, one having a deluxe bouquet and two, to have it delivered on Monday, October 21. Monday, I received an email saying the recipient had received the arrangement, however, after speaking to my friend she had neither received the arrangement Monday nor Tuesday. The recipient then received the delivery on Wednesday the 23rd which consisted of a small bouquet that had zero spray roses, was filled with baby's breath (which is a cheaper filler flower) as well as the flowers were droopy and wilted, looking like they were almost dead. I called youflowers, who were very nice, and said that they would have a second arrangement delivered to the recipients the following day. Thursday morning, I received a call where once I picked up names were barked at me; no hello, no letting me know who was calling me. I spoke to a sales associate, Leanne, from the florist Four Seasons, who said that they would deliver a new arrangement later that day but wanted to take back the flowers that were delivered the previous day. I found that tacky and did not want that to happen and instead of trying to resolve the issue in some other way she decided to fight with me about it. Leanne would then speak to the owner who was in the shop with her about me while I was on the phone. I told her I would have to call her back as our conversation was going nowhere and I was late for a meeting. I called about two hours later where I was sitting in a room with an associate by me. Leanne was not listening to the fact that I said that if they were going to take the flowers back then I didn't want them to even redeliver a new one at all as my friend was coming back from a funeral and I found that very embarrassing to have something taken back that was already delivered. She started raising her voice so loudly that the person sitting next to me could hear clearly how she was speaking to me through the phone. Once again, she decided to talk about me see with the owner while I was still on the phone so I could hear how she was discussing me. She started raising her voice so loudly when I asked her to stop speaking to me in that manner, so she decided to hang up on me. I then called back and spoke to a different woman whose name is Mary who is the owner of Four Seasons. I explained the way that Leanne spoke to me and that was unacceptable, and Mary was not only rude but condescending to me, so I see where Leanne gets that. Mary was also super rude and not one of them had any empathy when I made a comment about how somebody's father had passed. I literally had to say that they messed up and I paid extra for all of these extra things that I didn't receive, and I didn't even get an apology. Instead, I was screamed at and talked about so that I could hear. The customer service is atrocious! The lack of empathy and business etiquette is disgraceful! Please do not waste your money on this horrific place! There are other florists in the area who are pleasant and send out beautiful arrangements.

In such an emotional moment for my family--mourning the passing of my aunt--our online order fell through at the very last minute. I felt overwhelmed and helpless, then I found you. From the moment we spoke, your kindness and calm were a lifeline. You didn't just "fit us in"; you embraced our situation with genuine care, listened to what my aunt meant to us, and turned that love into flowers. The arrangements you created were beyond beautiful--they were elegant and deeply thoughtful. Every detail felt intentional and respectful, a true reflection of her spirit. You gave us something priceless: a way to honor her with grace. Your dedication--same-day preparation on such short notice--was nothing short of extraordinary. But what stays with me most is your compassion. I was comforted in a way I didn't expect from a florist. It was as if our paths were meant to cross, even under such difficult circumstances. In that tender moment, your warmth and empathy were a blessing. I truly believe God guided me to you. To anyone in Old Bridge or nearby: please support The Flower Cart for any floral need, big or small. Cris is an exceptional artist with flowers and a heart that understands people. I am forever grateful and will turn to The Flower Cart every time I need arrangements in the future, knowing I'll be in caring, capable hands. Thank you, Cris, for your artistry, your humanity, and for bringing beauty and comfort when it mattered most. Sincerely, Alysia B.

Update: The owner of this shop did not like my review - reading it too quickly too realise I had…read morewritten we did receive the bear. She called up my son in the hospital and raged that she would call the police on me because the review below was not to her liking. This really scares me. No business should be harassing the receiver of gifts no matter what. I am going to report this odd and harassing behavior to YELP. If the owner calls my son again, I will put a restraining order on her. Below is my original review, untouched: We ordered flowers from this establishment in the morning giving the lady on the phone precise details - hospital name, room number, my DIL's name etc. By very late in the day - after closing hours, flowers had yet to be delivered. We called the shop. The lady who answered made a call and discovered her driver had been misdirected by someone at the hospital to go somewhere else. He had the precise room number, address etc and chose not to double-check. Finally, late into evening, a very small flower arrangment with just okay looking flowers arrived at the hospital. Ouch. Not even in a pretty vase. The teddy bear we ordered STILL had not arrived after all this. A while later, a little teddy bear (at a very high price) arrived in a small black gift bag. Another ouch. A black gift back for a newborn baby girl's teddy? How oddly inappropriate. This is not our first adventure in ordering flowers for a DIL in the hospital giving birth. Our first flower order (in DC) for our first rgandchild was amazing. The flower arrangement was gorgeous that time and huge, the vase the flowers were delivered in ON TIME was stunning, the teddy bear, large and adorable. Same pricing but just WOW. This was not Wow. This sent the message, "We don't care that much." Ouch. We saw the photos. It was embarassing. I'm very sorry we trusted the reviews for this establishment. The lady on the phone is very nice, but there is no quality going on here. And the delivery man should learn his city. If a client says, "This hospital, this room," believe them. Do not waste your money. You will end up being embarassed. Follow up: We asked for "baby colors for a little girl." It was appropriate to expect the gift bag would not be black which represents death and Halloween to most people. There are no "bear" dimensions on the site to check. Last time we ordered a stuffed animal it was 3x the size. Saying "You should have checked on the website" is not a reasonable response. A more thoughtful answer could have been, "Sorry you were disappointed. We will put measurements up on our website for others in the future." That would have been a classy answer. If I had not followed up and checked on the delivery, out gift would have stayed at the wrong hospital overnight. The driver should have double-checked when misdirected. Without my check-in call, those flowers would still have never arrived. A no-brainer to follow through when given a specific address and room number. We looked at the photos of other flower companies and also of order we've been happy with before. For 50 dollars less, more flowers and a pretty vase were always the norm. We have the right to be disappointed and state so. With so many positive reviews for this venue, it's beyond shocking this store owner would actually PHONE my son. He did not pay for this order. His wife just had a difficult delivery. He does NOT need this tasteless drama handedd his way. It's easy enough to email back and forth privately with class. I am beyond shocked that any business owner would make such hostile and crazy choices. "I am calling the police on your mother because I didn't like her review!" OMG.

I was pointedly ignored, even when I was in the same area of the small shop within eyeshot/earshot. I was the only customer in the store (and only PoC) before the two (white) customers came in separately, one after the other. This is treatment I also received at another shop at Ithaca mall (incidentally also with "Willow" in the name). Feels bad, man. Terse service when I asked a question of the staff member there. There's an anecdotal half-joke among us QPoC that a white person with colorful hair typically means "safe" staff for BIPOC/queer folks, but that was not the vibe I got here, sadly. It's too bad that Asian customers are treated this way at an establishment that sells so much Asian-inspired merchandise (kawaii goods, food items). I won't likely be back, even though it is a cute, very modern boutique. I will just head down to Michaleen's Florist & Greenhouse down the road and the farmer's market instead for plants, soaps, gifts. I feel more welcome in those spaces, even if they're predominantly white.
