I actually just created a profile on Yelp so that I could express how wonderful my experience with Your Friends was. Great communication with the manager Tyler before the move day. Schedule was confirmed. The two movers helping me, Cody and Chris, showed up the morning of the move, and got directly to work. They were friendly and professional, and really worked as quickly and efficiently as they could. They were very careful with my things - in fact, the only thing that was broken is something I broke myself in a clumsy moment! (And even though I broke it, Chris kept apologizing!) Once we got to my new place, Cody and Chris again completely impressed me with their willingness to put everything exactly where I wanted it. They asked where in the room I'd like the big items, and made extra efforts to ensure they had things right. One thing that totally blew me away was something I didn't even discover until the next day: I'd marked several items to be taken up to the attic. I told them I didn't mind where they went in the attic at all, since I wouldn't be getting anything up there immediately. But when I went up the next afternoon to grab something, I saw that they'd taken the time to put the boxes neatly into little cubby-holes along the walls so that they were out of the way. It was above and beyond what I was expecting. All told, my move from Okemos, MI to Lansing, MI was completed in 4 hours. Truth be told, this was the first move of mine where I didn't have to coerce my friends into helping me move. Now that I've seen how quickly, efficiently, and painlessly a move can be with the right moving company, I'll never go back. If I move again, I will most definitely be using Your Friends. And I'll be recommending them wholeheartedly to anyone who asks. read more

**I posted this review on google. I am posting this here as well in order for their service to be recognized in more than one place. If you are moving, I highly suggest working with YFM. The booking process with Jun was very easy and highly superb in communication. The three amazing men that serviced my move was Mahad, Aweis, and Ramo. Frontline employees are one of, if not the most important role in a moving business. They are the face of the business as they are the ones you have the most contact with. I have moved several times, in state and out, and have used a moving company for all of them besides one (8 moves). I have to say out of all of them, this move was the most FUN I have ever had! I know - it is strange to hear that moving was "fun". Aweis and Ramo were such goofballs and super fun. They cracked jokes and kept us smiling and laughing, yet were very professional and worked hard. They had a perfect balance of professionalism and sense of humor. Mahad, who seemed to be the lead of the group was immensely professional, kind, and super sweet. He kept full and clear communication with me the entirety of the move. He was amazing. As a trio, they were fast paced, careful, and tremendous. They deserve HUGE bonus points! I cant say enough about them. My wife and I had our final inspection, two closings, and a complete move from a 3 bedroom home and 10x10 storage unit to a mile and a half away. A little nervous about doing everything in one day I'd called Joe at Your Friends several times, making sure he'd be able to do everything in one day while my wife and I were away. I had family coordinating things, but everything went seamlessly. The movers showed up on time and worked diligently. They loaded their truck very efficiently and unloaded it efficiently as well. We ended up not being able to put the storage unit in the truck so we had to get that after unloading the homes contents. They put everything were I asked without complaint, even though there were some pretty tough items including a pull out sofa, HUGE treadmill, and very awkward work bench going down 15 stairs to my basement around a pretty tricky curving staircase. Everything went well. There was only one drop, which was inconsequential and came after 12.5 hours of moving. If I'd moved our home, I'd've dropped way more. There were also a few scratches on the wall, but were to be expected given the difficulty of the move. At 25% less than the famous competition and waaay more less than others I found, I can honestly say I highly recommend Your Friends moving service. read more

I wish there was a 6 start rating because when it comes to the service they provide, they delivered way beyond my expectations. It started with the great attitude by June at the office. her quoting was fast, accurate and simple to understand. She provided a low end and high end price quotes so i knew what to expect. i was worried at first when they quoted me less than half of what others did but they ended up being right on the mark. It continued with their flexibility to accommodate my needs. i got into a last minute issue and had to reschedule less than 24 hours before the move itself. They returned my call on a Sunday and rescheduled my move exactly as i needed. On the day of the move i was serviced by Mahad and Aweis. Super nice guys who kept me informed throughout the process. they were hard workers and nailed my move within the low side of the price quote. All items made it safely in one piece, they were careful about my walls and left no damage behind. I called Two Men and a Truck for an estimate and was directed to press a bunch of buttons before being sent to an automated answering service. I left a message and was never called back. Awesome. But, it helped me find Your Friends Moving Service and I couldn't be happier about it. They actually pick up their phone and you get to talk to a real live person. Crazy. I know. I had a few large items moved from Okemos to north of St. Johns. We had contemplated getting a U-Haul and doing it ourselves, but once I priced it out, I paid about the same to let someone else do all of the work. They were on time (huge in my book), everything was wrapped (with the materials that are included in their cost) for transit, and they even placed my pieces where I wanted them in the room and took the wrappings with them. Your Friends Moving Services was a life-saver for our move. Communication with Tyler prior to the move was perfect. On the day of the move, we were not even close to being ready. Joe and Cody showed up and got right down to business. They did more work in an hour than I think we could have done all day! They were extremely friendly, efficient, helpful and professional. They didn't break a thing or even scratch a wall. If they were irritated by our lack of preparation or organization, they sure didn't show it. We thought the move would take four hours -- it took eight and they were moving just as fast at the end of eight hours as they were when they started. We've moved several times with other large moving companies based in Lansing and were very unhappy. This time we had to move an entire house (not just an apartment). We thought we'd take a shot on Your Friends Moving Services. They were the absolute best movers we've ever had. Every box ended up in the room for which it was labeled. They didn't seem to get tired, even though our move took 8 hours. They disassembled and set up furniture and absolutely nothing was broken. Not only that, but they even arrived 15 minutes early! These guys were great. They arrived on time, they were polite and friendly, and got the job done very quickly. I had moved from out of state using a national company several months ago, and had to put my things in storage until I bought a home. The national company was terrible, including breaking furniture and losing at least one box. When I was ready to move my things out of the storage unit, I got an estimate from another well known local mover and it was almost three times what Your Friends cost me. This moving service was very convenient to move in the middle of a snowy winter. There were 5 guys which really helped with the time and and this was super Carefree. They took apart how are tables and put them back together. They would have definitely gotten five stars had I not noticed the Nic on my table leg.
