We were looking for someone to come refresh our garden to add some more variety, a bit more color, and a little less chaos to our yard that had been overrun by 4 large hostas, wild violets, and some quickly multiplying lilies. Robert was quick to respond to my quote request, and stopped by to talk about the proposed plan for the garden layout and redoing the pavers at the edge of the garden. The initial day the team was scheduled to do the work had a conflict for us, and they were great about quickly finding a different day. The team started first thing in the morning and were done by the end of the day. Everything looks great! Robert followed up with some tips for care to ensure that the newly transplanted flowers flourish. Just a week in, and we're already getting compliments on the yard from neighbors walking by. Overall, their work is OK but does not justify the price they requested. After the raking, the area is still filled with dead grass and moss, and there are noticeable clumps of leaves remaining around the property after their winter cleanup. read more

The pictures tell it all: Robert and his team miraculously transformed our backyard eyesore into a beautiful wodland retreat. The "Before" photos were taken in late April, and the "After" photos were taken on May 26th, after the team performed its magic. To say we are happy is an understatement! Faced with a collapsing concrete wall in our backyard "patio" area, we wanted to kill 2 birds with one stone: remove the hazard and get some privacy screening to hide a very ugly view. We were impressed with Your Garden Curator's reviews, and even more impressed by how Robert carefully listened to us and understood our ultimate goals for our space. His very reasonable price estimate made it all possible for us. The team arrived in face masks, practising safe social distancing. They first carefully removed the tumbling wall and debris (just in the nick of time before it fell down a hill onto our neighbor's house.) Robert then invited us to go to the nursery with him where we picked out 10 great trees for screening, guided by his expertise. The team brought in good loam, planted the trees, and then put down a new stone patio, carefully fitting together the bluestone with true artistry. If this were not enough, Robert brought us a large number of flowering shrubs and perenials, chosen based on our requests, and planted them in a composition that juxtaposes colors, textures and bloom times. When he couldn't get the tall rhodos we wanted, he brought us some even-more-beautiful hollies. The icing on the cake: without our even needing to ask and without extra charge, the team reassembled our wood rack, and even loaded the wood back in. They set up our soaker hose watering system for us. And they rototilled and reseeded my patchy lawn! We feel very lucky to have found Your Garden Curator, and whole-heartedly recommend them. read more

We called out Robert after we saw his work at a neighbor's house. He called us back a few days later. We needed some trimming and digging up old dead bushes and planting some new material. Besides that he also did some very nice stone work for us. He also did the fall clean up. Both him and his workers are experienced and know what they are doing. We hired them to take care of our lawn two summers ago. They did an okay job. But the next summer, the price for the maintenance contract was 21% higher. Kind of a lot, we thought, but we hired them again. Then, this summer, they submitted a price which was 22% higher than last year! Needless to say, we said no thanks. I can understand that their costs for materials, etc. may have gone up. But more than a 20% increase every year? When wages and prices for the rest of the country have been pretty much flat for the past 5+ years? If you hire these guys, keep a close watch on how much they're charging you. read more

Robert and his crew greatly exceeded our condo complex's expectations. He came on time to the initial consultation and his workers showed up early weeks after on the day Robert scheduled us.
