On the day of the job, Rudy and Marlin worked tirelessly for 3 1/2 hours and got a tremendous amount done - trimming multiple hedges and bushes, cutting back an almost dead lilac, power washing the patio (it looks as good as it did 15 years ago when it was installed), cleaning moss, etc. off the garage roof (hadn't been cleaned since I got the house 30+ years ago), cutting up and removing a fallen branch, and power washing a basketball backboard that I wasn't even sure could be reached. Rudy is the owner and a pleasure to work with! He has a great crew of very hard working guys. We started out with an estimate for a patio, Rudy was very fair and listened to my concerns. Others I contacted were interested in talking me out of what I wanted and into what they wanted, (a square patio with man made blocks) , that could be installed very quickly. That's not what I wanted and Rudy didn't shy away from my ideas. Actually, Rudy suggested a small retaining wall to level out my property for the row of privacy hedges, it turned out to be a fantastic recommendation. Not only does it look great but the wall offers way more seating space than we could have imagined...and the Arborvitae trees 10' tall were the right height for the space and off the privacy we want! Rudy collaborated with me on the design, and suggested things I hadn't thought of, like the small step down on the back of the retaining wall. As the project progressed, Rudy rolled with us as we added some additional hard scape wants...his communication was great, there were a few days around the 4th of July when they didn't come, but he let me know in advance, and always replied promptly whenever I reached out to him. Buyer Beware! We have used Rudy Juarez at RM Affordable Landscaping in Waltham for a few years and had been satisfied. This Spring one of his employees mistakenly caused irreparable damage to one of the air conditioning units outside requiring us to purchase a new replacement. Rudy recognized his responsibility and was communicative until we reached out to him to work out an equitable solution for us to get paid back for our out of pocket costs (over $2,000). We offered different options to minimize his financial impact-including having him work off the value of what we paid. Despite our outreach, several times over 6 weeks, Rudy went dark without any response to our various texts and calls. We reached out to him again on my wife's phone which he promptly picked up as he did not recognize the number. We scheduled a day for him to come by and discuss and, while he texted us before he came, he did not get out of his car and left after 5 minutes( leaving within the timeframe he said he would be arriving). We asked him to please come back which was about 3 minutes later and he would not. Rudy continues not to respond to any of our outreach. We think that consumers should be aware of this lack of response/accountability and consider whether to hire his company given the risk of not getting reimbursed for any possible damage done to their property. read more

I like to do my own landscaping but needed some help this year. I asked for a number of quotes and Rudy responded very quickly, came by to give me a very reasonable quote, and was able to start the work within two weeks. He and his fellow worker completed the work within the day, staying until 6 pm or so. I had asked Rudy to leave an extra yard of mulch for me to apply later in another area. When I returned, Rudy had laid out the mulch in the area I was going to mulch and then some. Rudy is very pleasant and easy-going, a pleasure to work with. read more

I reached out to Rudy through yelp, and in less than an hour he responded. We weren't able to clean our yard in almost two years so I was worried it would take a long time. Rudy visited a few days later, his quote was reasonable and within two weeks he came and cleared our yard from leaves. Because he has a large crew, what I thought would easily take 4 hours or more to clean up, Rudy and his team cleaned our yard in almost half of that time. Very responsive! Called me the same day I reached out to them, came by the next day and gave a very reasonable quote, and two days later my tree was removed. The tree was huge with multiple branches on the power lines. They meticulously removed them without disturbing the power lines like true experts. Took down the tree, ground the stump and left the yard very clean. No disturbance to my neighbors, nothing in the street, they were really the best of the best and I highly recommend them! read more
