The staff learn your dogs names and yours right away, and they have a spot to store your own dog food and treats for when they get their mid-day snack. Beware though, this place is not where you want to take your dog if you want a clean dog returned, my dog manages to get every piece of dirt stuck to her but she doesn't mind the bath afterwards because she's too worn out to protest ;) Fetch also has obedience classes, agility classes, and other classes all posted on their website's calendar! We did go through round one of obedience successfully and I liked that the trainer didn't hesitate to tell ME when I was doing wasn't was right, instead of putting the onus on my cute widdwe puppy, but how could you say no to that face :)

Brenda(the owner) has put together such a wonderful establishment. What a great safe, fun place to be able to drop your dogs there for the day. They play themselves out so much that they sleep from the time we do pick up to the next day often! For every occasion: Easter, Christmas, V-Day & Birthdays, they have little party celebrations. Take photo's, give fresh homemade doggie treats too! I am so happy we found this place, and I know my 4-leggeds are too. They love the Fetch gang and are always happy and excited to visit each week.

You can tell the owner really loves dogs and is passionate about dog rescue. She does not discriminate against bully breeds. She doesn't tack on tons of add-on fees like some dog grooming places in HRM do (for example: a 30 plus dollar fumigation fee if they find a flea, an aggressive/fearful dog fee etc.).

Having checked out the new PetSmart in Bedford I have a new found respect for this smaller sized…read morechain store. *It's much smaller (meaning you won't wander around aimlessly looking at things you don't have a need for). *While they carry far fewer food options for your pet, the brands that they do carry are superior. *They have a loyalty program (buy "X" bags get one free) *More centrally located (Clayton Park) *They won't have more than a few kittens at a time up for adoption. If you're lucky you'll get in and out without having your heart strings pulled too much. *Not a fish mill with dead floating fish in various tanks (since they don't exist at PV in the first place) *Just all around a better option unless you live out in Bedford.

It feels like a higher end pet supply store but is very comparable in price to other pet stores in the area. It does not carry any animals so you're not supporting backyard breeders or poor housing conditions. It has items such as pet food (dog, cat and small animal feed), pet treats, toys, beds, pet carriers, leashes, food bowls, etc. One thing that really stood out about this store, is that it carries items I've never seen anywhere else. The dog toys in stock were toys I've never seen before (I bought a couple for my dog and she's been squeaking them nonstop every since). They have a pretty big collection of dog leashes and harnesses which are modern and stylish. The quality of items seems quite high and the staff were very friendly and attentive. They did not carry my brand of dog food so I will still have to go to my regular pet supply store for that but besides that, I really liked this store. If you're getting bored with seeing the same leashes, toys and items at the pet stores around here, definitely check this place out.

The goal of working at Petstuff is for these folks to get permanent employment. I personally think it's a fabulous idea and it's what brought me to their store in 2009 for the first time. The employees at Petstuff are very sweet and kind. They love to help you out and always welcome a furry visitor. They've got a good selection of food, toys, grooming supplies, and everything else you could need for your pet. For people who are training for other work opportunities, I am always very impressed at how knowledgeable the employees are. They really do a fantastic job! I haven't had any personal experience with their groomer but have heard from numerous people that they do a great job. The pugs may be visiting that area of the business soon!

His name is Des, he is very relaxing, but FAST and reasonably priced. Plus, he doesn't overlap his clients, which is such a nice change from chain groomers. She actually snarled at those people (so would've I). Then, we found Barb and Lloyd. Dogs can tell who loves them. Within 5 minutes she was totally at home, responding to their affection, and playing with the other dogs. It is a home-like atmosphere, they do have some kennels if that is what your dog is used to. I suspect my girl sleeps on the couch. I have no qualms about leaving her there for1-2 week holidays and don't worry one bit. They have a security system and lots of separate yards plus a long run. These people truly love dogs, and it shows. It's well worth the drive from Halifax.
