Your Happy Place doesn't have a large selection, but what they have is very unique, and much of it competitively priced. If you are open to trying some unusual liquors or wines, its worth a stop. When I stopped by during Xmas on the Square, I tasted some whiskey from Alabama, and bought a couple of bottles. Amaro lovers should definitely pick up Amaro Meletti, and cognac/whiskey lovers should grab Mesh & Bone's Arakku liquor from Sri Lanka. They also had a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape from Avril for a mere $26. Cigars are for sale, as well, but I did not investigate closely on my first visit. If you are in the neighborhood, stop in and show them some love. read more

I had the opportunity to spend time at this establishment during a So Far Sounds show and I had such a great time! The decor inside is really beautiful and eclectic and welcoming. The staff is very sweet. We all sat on the floor and took in the vibes while the performers showcased their talents. They had such a wide selection of wines and beers and liquors and we were all able to drink them inside with cups and just relax in the space. I had such a great time and I highly recommend this to anybody who is considering coming through or who may live in the neighborhood! read more

I've been wanting to check this place out ever since I read about it on the DNA Info Chicago website. I stopped in yesterday while walking around the area. Both of the owners were really nice, and they also had a couple of bottles of alcohol available to try. I was also informed that they do wine tastings on Friday nights, so this is something I would want to come back for in the future. The store isn't jam packed with countless bottles of alcohol like most liquor stores, but there are still some great options inside the store. They had this chocolate bourbon that I would want to possibly get next time. There is a great wine selection in pretty much every price range, and this is what I bought during my visit here. I have never seen a liquor store this beautiful! That's because this is not an average liquor store. From the moment you walk through the door you are greeted by a warm and cozy feeling. It is beautifully decorated with art work by a very talented local artist, and different artist's will be featured monthly! The colors in the store are vibrant and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable unlike other liquor stores that are usually dark and dreary. I was very impressed by the wonderful variety of craft beers and unique wines and spirits...including dog and cat wine for all of the animal lovers out there!!! The owners are super friendly and knowledgeable about their product. This has been a fun way to meet new people in the neighborhood and to try things I would not normally try. It also helps make a better decision of what to purchase! They will answer any question with gusto, make recommendations, or just chat it up if you're in the mood for that The space is comfortable and has quality art that you can purchase. However, the choices for each category are limited to 2-3 brands, e.g. only 2 brands tequila, one from Texas and another from Mexico. While most American liquor stores offer dozens of each, it's refreshing to have the menu narrowed down to 2 high-quality options. Though I hadn't had a gin & tonic in over a decade, I'd bought an artisanal gin by Green House to round out my liquor cabinet. It was so smooth and delicious, I drank it NEAT, which I never would've believed possible in my life. This such a beautiful space. They allowed me to host my calligraphy workshop in their art boutique of a liquor store. They even hand picked a few bottles of bubbly and it went perfect with the crowd. Their prices are super fair and reasonable and they have a lot of different varieties of liquor which I've never even seen or heard of. How good can a liquor store be really. All I want is a good selection and perhaps a point in the right direction. I'm not gonna lie, I got that plus a bit more. The owners are an adorable couple and man were they great. I got to sample a few things before I made my purchase and it was just a different vibe. The store wasn't filled with aisles of crap you've never heard of in an attempt to show that they have everything under the sun. Just good quality stuff. The ambience was a bit unexpected. It was very wide open and they even have these nice leather chairs you can sort of lounge in while you're trying things out. I would definitely highly recommend this location, particularly if you're in the area. I think I'll be coming back in the near future. The owners were so pleasant and knowledgeable of the liquors, pointing us to the best tequila I have ever had! We ended up staying in the store for over an hour. This is an amazing addition to the Logan Square community. top notch selection of craft beer and unique spirits. I have been looking for Brennivin since my trip to Iceland a few years back, ( a hard to find Icelandic liqueur) I was pleased to find it on the shelves at this cute booze boutique. They also carry an armagnac that is amazing! Pricing is very reasonable. I didn't get to check out The wine. The bottle chilling station is cool. I was also happy to find zombie dust, Todd the axeman and dino Smores on the shelf... all pretty tough to get beers. The best part of this place was the friendly greeting and great conversation with the owners, a cute married couple that clearly cares about providing good customer experiences. Whoa, this is the most beautiful liquor store I have ever seen. I have only been in Chicago a few months, but I don't think this is a norm. At first I expected it to be expensive because of its modern, urban decor. But the prices are actually very reasonable. Even low on some items. They have a mural that takes up the entire wall. Very impressive work. The couple working ( I think they're the owners) were very helpful. Helpful tip: they have cold wine and other cold beer options that you may not see in the fridge, Just ask. They have tastings every Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. My friend and I came to this liquor store before going out to dinner at a byob restaurant and we were glad we did! We sampled different liquors that we would ordinarily not have tasted. I discovered that I LOVE mezcal; I love the delicious smokey flavor! They had a DJ and someone painting which gave it more of a fun atmosphere. Coming here doesn't feel like a choir before your fun night starts. This place is the perfect spot to start your fun!!
