This was my first time sitting for a colonic with Your Inner Health. For the past few months, I had been contemplating getting a colonic to see if it would ease any of my ongoing gut issues, most especially bloating and irregular bowel movements. However, due to a chronic health issue, I was unsure if they would accept my condition. The staff was so lovely, double-checking that my condition wouldn't be an issue if the owner, Melissa, approved. Once I got the green light, I booked with Melissa, and it was such a lovely time. Their premises are spotless; I was whisked to a private room that was already set up with everything I needed. Just outside the room was my own personal bathroom, which I could use as a changing room and restroom. Melissa explained the sanitization process, guiding me through every step, from the oil-based lubricant and plastic speculum and draining tube to the operating machine and rinse-and-relieve levels. She warned me every time she would need to increase the pressure, mentioning that it would feel like I needed to go to the bathroom urgently, but that it was just the sensation for a few seconds. I felt relieved and comfortable the entire time, and I appreciated the lengths Melissa went to break down everything for me (chart explanations, etc.). For a whole year, I was struggling with severe bloating from anything I ate, I had constipation , extreme fatigue and itchy skin.
