I have had colonics regularly for 25 years, so I know what to expect. This is the only colonic therapist who did not do water retentions - where the colon is filled with water with the waste tube closed off until you feel the urge to release, the therapist then opens the waste tube - which is standard practice at every colonic I've had including the 20+ I've had at the Optimum Health Institute. She had my lay on my side the entire time with both tubes open, essentially doing what I could have done with an enema at home. Nothing was happening so she had me go to the toilet mid-treatment to get some release happening which is highly unusual. As a way to get thing going I offered that I had always been on my back during the treatments and rather than adjusting to my request she said that was how 'they' were trained and that next time I go to the Optimum Health Institute I should ask them to do the colonic her way. This is when I knew this lady had no clue what she was doing. It was a waste of my time unfortunately. If you come here you need to ask her in advance to do water retentions and if she knows what they are. read more

Cathy was absolutely amazing! It was my first experience with colonic, I was very nervous going in. I've suffered with indigestion and constipation all my life and have tried all sorts of cleansing and detox pills to help - nothing delivered even half as well as this colonic! Cathy is great - I went to her location in Huntington Beach 7 or 8 years ago and remember experiencing a dramatic difference in my health after several sessions, so I decided to do it again. I shouldn't have waited so long - Like before, I immediately felt lighter, less bloated, and just had an overall feeling of being healthier. I did 3 sessions spaced two weeks apart and continued to feel better after each session. The sessions were easy enough after the initial process and talking to Cathy during the hour made the time and experience go by quickly and painlessly. She really is good at what she does and was inspired to do this work. This place has HORRIBLE customer service. I called and left a voicemail in the morning asking if I could make an appointment... no one called me back. No worries, you're probably busy. I called that evening and left another voicemail. NO RESPONSE. Okay, so I will try and text and see if that works. So I sent a text message and someone finally texted me back with one time available. No "Hello. thanks for your text".. nothing. Just a very cold and one time available response. I responded back with "oh I'm so sorry that time doesn't work, how about this time?"... and guess what... NO RESPONSE. Its been 2 days. I don't have time for this. Get yourself together. I was looking for a long term Colonics person that can be my go to, but it's obvious you are too busy or lack the common politeness to tell me you aren't taking on new customers. Someone else called me back two hours later and asked what time my appointment was for - the first person had forgotten to write it down. I was then hung up on again. I went in for my appointment, given no instructions before hand but finding some (seemingly crucial ones) on the website, and after juicing and preparing they told me that my appointment was nowhere to be found and that they were double booked. One of the most unprofessional business interactions I have ever been involved in. At the direction of my Dr, I was told to get a colonic. I chose Healing Colon Care after seeing their reviews. I scheduled my appoint last week for today at noon (10/18/2019). I receive a text to my company land line (Ring Central) at 10:19 am stating the individual is running late and to come at 12:30 pm (Text below). This individual left no name. I change my schedule at the last minute to accommodate that time (I am 35-40 minutes away). I then receive a 2nd text at 11:06 am (53 minutes before the appointment) saying I need to be there at 12. I immediately call the number at 11:08 and I get a voicemail for Kathy. I leave a message stating I am 40 minutes away and can keep the time as requested in her text at 12:30 p.m. I received no call back. I then call the office line (At 11:47 am) and ask what is going on with my appointment, explaining that I keep getting texts with changing times.. The lady that answers the phone couldn't answer my question but took my number and said she would call back. Then at 11:51 I get a text, saying nothing else but 12 pm (Below). This individual, I guess it's Kathy, has absolutely no respect for anyone else's time but her own. Instead of picking up the phone like and adult and business owner, she sends texts like a high school girl (To land lines no less). I have blocked out my day to do this and made the appointment over a week ago, this individual doesn't even have the courtesy to return a call for changing circumstances on the business's end. I have been to a lot of the colon hydrotherapy places in Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach over the last 10+ years. Serenity wellness, Body Centre day spa, a few off Newport Blvd and on the east side. This was by far my best cleanse. Teri was fantastic and loved the fact that she is super personable and can carry a conversation. I was looking for a new place and now I found it. I have already referred my friends to her and have another appt. set in 3 weeks before I travel. This is the best thing to do when flying so it keeps you from getting dehydrated and keeps you regular once you land. I get about 6-8 times a year depending on how I am feeling or travel. read more

Kathy is a true professional and expertise at what she does she makes you feel completely comfortable and talks to you through the whole thing. This was my first time doing it and earlier this week I had gone to another place to attempt a colonic and I had the most traumatizing experience I didn't end up going through with it. I told Kathy a little bit about my story and my experience and she made me feel confident that I can do it. When I got there the place is super clean it's a suite that's only hers and it feels kind of like you're in a massage room so it's super comfortable. I recommend to drink a ton of water days before leading up to your colonic and two hours before your colonic drink a green juice and also drink one after. The actual process wasn't the most comfortable for example have you ever eaten something that made your stomach hurt so bad and you have to go to the bathroom? That's exactly what it feels like at times not the whole time but I'm sure it's different for everyone, but she made it as comfortable as it could be I feel so good after I feel lighter I feel refreshed! I already bought my three pack and I'm set up for my next appointment thank you again so much Kathy for your guidance and affirmations. Holy shit. Literally. So I caught a parasite three months ago in Panama and even after a string of antibiotics, my digestive system was wrecked. I tried a vegan diet, a raw diet, an all meat diet, probiotics, juice cleanses, you name it...I was about ready to go see my GI when I remembered a long time ago I had bookmarked a few Hydrotherapy places on Yelp thinking it sounded interesting but I'd probably never actually get the guts (no pun) to go. I read all the reviews, did a little of my own research and decided it sounded like it could be beneficial, but didn't have super high expectations that it would reverse all my issues. I came around 5:30 on Monday and one other client was currently in session...note this place does not say Healing Colon Care on the store front...it is a day spa of sorts so they mostly advertise their facial and massage services when you walk in the waiting room. The whole place is very nice and very calming. Cathy came out and had me fill out a little paperwork and asked me some questions about my symptoms and then she brought me into the hydrotherapy room which felt like a spa room (to my relief). I changed into a hospital-esque gown and then the fun began. You lay on your side and she talks to you the whole time...the tube they insert is not small...it was uncomfortable and hurt going in...that's normal, but it still sucked and I won't sugar-coat it...actually it's coated in castor oil, the tube that is. Anyway, once it's in you won't feel it much "down there" but you WILL feel all sorts of things happening in your gut. Wow. You'll feel the warm water go in and gurgle around in your intestines (really your colon) and it just feels a bit pressure-y like a brief cramp or bubble in your tummy. She massaged by stomach periodically throughout the 40 minute session to help things along and also made comments on what was coming out so I knew what was what. She explained when a gas bubble was coming out, commented on the color indicating yeast, etc. Afterwards you are sent to the restroom where the real fun begins (for 10-15 minutes or so). Then you clean up, get dressed and go to the waiting room where you will take a probiotic, have some water and Emergen-C and be on your merry way with a cleaned out colon. My only slightly negative comment is that she didn't really give any commentary afterwards on how to improve my "situation" now...like eating habits, etc. I know she isn't a doctor, but she just advised me to eat as normal and that was that...but from all my online research, it was advised to eat a gentle diet...soups, juices, no raw veggies and fruits, low sugar, low alcohol after the therapy, so that's what I followed and I would recommend you to do the same. Raw fruits and veggies are extremely hard on your digestive system, and especially when everything has been cleared out, your digestive enzymes might be a bit weak as well (note: you should definitely take a full-spectrum digestive enzyme as well as a strong probiotic following your colon cleanse...they have made a huge difference for me). It has been 4 days since my treatment, and although some of my symptoms are still around, I have found that they are only intensified by what I eat (things I know already cause distress for my intestines) rather than being constant like they were before my treatment. The rest of my symptoms have gone away entirely...whatever bloat I was carrying around is minimized and my stomach is back to being MUCH flatter than it was for the last couple months. I will probably only do this once a year or as needed, but I definitely see the benefit and Cathy was amazing. read more
