Two minutes later, he had my odd sized key copied and ready for me. I literally spent less then ten minutes in this shop even with the waiting for him to get there from lunch and the key worked perfectly. His prices were also much lower than the mainstream chain stores. As I was explaining the process, in the middle of talking, I was put on hold. When the guy came back on the line, he basically told me that odds are it's not my ECM, but it could happen, and if it were to get diagnosed, it would run me 600-700 dollars! The dude sounded condescending, and there is no way it should cost that much unless you're a fool that falls for anything! The guy I called before said 150-170!
