The solution was draining the sediment, which can be accomplished in a service call or by any rudimentary handy man in an hour. Guess what I was told? I was told I needed a new water heater at a cost of $4,000. This massive upsale effort is nothing short of disgusting. I drained it myself, problem solved. I wrote this review because the company had no clear way to email them. I could have called with feedback and questions, and I may update this review if aomeone at the company is responsible enough to call me. Until then, it stands and I suggest you get at least two other opinions before replacing equipment at their recommendation.

They came out and they found the issue and she didn't need a new unit and got it repaired for minimal expense. It's been working great for the last 6 months. Do not trust Aireserv - read reviews and get more than one diagnosis and quote. This company is sneaky and taking advantage of elderly people. I have read several reviews on many sites for Aire Serve now and see where they mis diagnose on many requests and go right to needing a new unit. The guy they sent started by cutting a hole in the drywall without measuring and cut in the wrong spot. He then had to cut a much bigger hole than necessary. When I tested it I noticed the water kept flowing after being turned off, wasting close to a half gallon each time. He didn't check anything, just said it was normal. I called the office to tell them I wanted it fixed or replaced. I had to call them back after a week since they never called me back. I finally got someone out here after two weeks to take a look at it. He never checked anything but said it was normal. He said the new one will do the same, are you going to pay us? Tightening the valves ( they were barely finger tight) and replacing the diverter fixed the problem. It's hard to find worse customer service.

Ultimately they wanted to install a new $25,000 AC unit and would clean the ducts for "free". The second company that came out, name starts with "F", and that's what they wanted to do. We didn't even let the guy finish the inspection to get a quote because he too wanted to upsell us. We then called Gesundheit. Mr. Barker gave a quote over the phone based on the number of vents in the house. Added cleaning the dryer vent for an additional $129. The two guys that came out did a great job cleaning the vents and cleaning up after the job was done. They took care to treat our home with respect as they performed their job.
