I needed a propane hose built for a older model rv. 1989 pace arrow. This hose and adapters for it are next to impossible to find. I went here with the old hose that isn't made anymore and asked the gentleman there if he could help. He really went above and beyond to make sure I got the hose I needed. I can tell he put a lo1t of thought into the project, and not only that but he didn't even over charge me, the price was very reasonable. I can't thank you enough!!! read more

After a summer season of travel we dropped are 2023 RV trailer off for some minor repairs and enhancements. I had called ahead to make sure they could accept the job. When you arrive you will need to call there number to get the gate opened. Once I parked I went into the office and Steve meet me in the office and logged the rig in and jotted down everything we need repaired and done (check excels and repack bearings, add electric tank valves, add window awning, check roof seals, replace lp regulator replace bad lp line. After a couple weeks he called to give me an update on the repairs and what he found with the axles and provided a quote for the enhancements I wanted to get done. Fast forward 4 weeks they received all parts and the rig was ready for pickup. I love this place, they are an honest shop, treated me great and provided quality work. They also do emergency work. We had a new axle installed in our 5th wheel. A few hundred miles later the u bolts apparently weren't tightened properly and did damage to tires, u bolts, etc. and we were on freeway for 6.5 hours to get assistance. Had to stay in hotel for 4 days getting parts and repairs completed. Called Don French and he stated that's what he has insurance for and send him everything. Now he Won't return our 5 phone calls.Time to go to court!! read more

Definitely worth the drive from the Valley. I did a deep dive on reviews in an effort to find the perfect go to place for our Tiffin Phaeton. True to the reviews at Frenchs RV we found professionalism, great customer service and almost unheard of nowadays, an outstanding work ethic. We had considerable work done and parts which needed ordered for our 16ft slide, generator, washing machine and more. I anticipated weeks for the job to be completed. It was finished in three days. We were so happy to find these guys ! They know this business inside and out. I had a dislodged drop pipe from my kitchen sink to my gray water in the belly of my coach. I was told by Dead Horse RV who are total scammers they would have to cut a whole in my kitchen floor. Carl at French's took one look and figured out the fix. He removed the 2 rear wheels , unscrewed and access panel and fixed it. He also fixed my door, adjusted my headlights and topped off my hydraulic tank to get rid of a beeping noise. They did all of this for $370 dollars! I highly recommend these folks. They are honest and efficient. read more

Our Class A Winnebago Sightseer had electrical issues and we were not sure if it was the chassis battery or starter. We called Frenchs RV Center and they advised they would fit us in and we should come the next day. We arrived at 8:00 a.m. and they called at noon that the coach was ready. It had an electrical short and they installed a new battery, under warranty. They were very professional and courteous. The shop was clean and tidy. The price was fair and reasonable. I've been RVing since the 60s. I've owned travel trailers, fist wheels and built a GM PD4106 bus when motor homes were nothing more that bread delivery trucks with furniture added. I've always done my own work but age is now catching up with me. With the explosion of RVs sold there has been a rapid expansion in service facilities both mobile and fixed. I've evaluated several local operations to assist me and this shop has come to the top. Skilled, capable technicians guided by honest management is as about as good as it gets. Combine that with reasonable rates for "fix it right, fix it once" service is worth its weight in gold. When was the last time you saw a service tech take his shoes off before stepping in? Our 5th-wheel travel trailer had a leaf spring break on I-17 a couple of miles north of Camp Verde, and while waiting for AAA, I called Frenchs RV. Doug said to bring it in and he should be able to have us on the road by the next day. When we arrived at Frenchs a couple of hours later, Dan found a used spring that would fit our trailer, and immediately went to work installing it. An hour later, we were back on the road, and the bill was very reasonable! Can't say enough good things about Frenchs! read more

I made a bad bad mistake at a gas station and totally pulled the back driver's side of the motorhome off - bolts were pulled out, the trim was ripped off, the hoses to the gas tank and generator were trashed and the electric connection to my toad car was ripped out. I picked French's out of google and took my chances. Dan took a look at it and told me what they probably had to do would take the rest of the day (I pulled in around 12:45pm) and part of the next day. Well, I picked it up at 4pm the next day and you could hardly tell anything had been done to it. They repaired all the damage they found, sealed and bolted the back panel into place, replaced the trim strip and fiberglassed and painted the broken part at back driver's side top. Then they buffed out the yellow paint from the cement guard thing I had bashed into. I was amazed and delighted with their work and would go back in a heartbeat. I can not thank all of the folks at French's rv repair enough. If you want a reliable, honest and intelligent rv tech look no further. These folks went above and beyond the call for us We had our 5th wheel up in Sedona when it got unseasonably cold. We had never used our heater and couldn't get it running. We first called another rv tech who came out to our camp site and couldn't fix it. $100 service call and still no heat, but thankfully this other tech recommended us to the folks at French's. True to his word, Dan came out that evening and diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and within a few days came back out and fixed the issue. We have owned RV's before and have waited months for simple warranty repairs. These guys have restored our faith and we will drive from Phoenix whenever we need service. They are worth the drive. Can't believe there aren't more awesome reviews. These guys are incredible. Can't say enough good things about this place. We're full time RV'ers and Frenchs let us come in first thing the next day after we called. If you've spent any time in a RV you know how rare that is in itself. They diagnosed and repaired an electronic (house power) issue in only 2.5 hours. The bill was very reasonable as well. To be more detailed, our house power went out and we could not figure out the reason why. It didn't work on shore power or with the generator. After the mechanics at Frenchs took a look at it, they quickly figured out the problem so that we'd have 110 again. They did some troubleshooting with the batteries to make sure that they'd charge again as well. They QUICKLY got to the root of the problem, swapped out some parts, and we were on our way again. If you can land an appointment here, consider yourself lucky. Great people and fantastic service. read more

Last week we took our coach in to French's because we had a hole in our slide-out floor. When extended, our slide-out dropped and we were concerned that we were damaging it. French's replaced the flooring. Sealed it, and replaced the overhead topper. They did an awesome job. They are experienced, fast, and very reasonable. What a wonderful place of business! I was stuck at a campsite with a broken slide. I called no less than 5 mobile RV services. Either they were busy, didn't call back, mailboxes were full or they said they couldn't get to it for a week+. I had no other options. Sitting there, trying figure out what to do, I glanced down at the campground brochure and see an ad for French's RV Service Center. Out of desperation, I called. Dan answered and was very sympathetic. He said that ordinarily he doesn't do mobile service but since I was close by, he'd send a technician over. Carl came by and worked on it for over an hour in the hot sun. He managed to "jump" the bad side with a short and close the slide so we could move on. I owe these guys a debt of gratitude. Saved our vacation! We limped into Distant Drums rv resort in Camp verde - main living room slide and levelers not working. Dan French diagnosed the problem readily, researched the repair with the manufacturer, ordered the part we needed, helped us get comfortable with a temporary fix. We kept our travel schedule. Very professional, took time to explain what was wrong, and rates were also reasonable. We drive a 2012 Tiffin allegro 32ca class A motorhome - on the road again with slides and levelers working! I had read the great reviews about this place and they're close to the campground I'm staying at so felt confident they would be reasonable. But it took them 5 hrs to swap and install an inverter charger as well as relocate my solar charger. Solar charger was relocated to the same cabinet about a foot away to make room for the inverter. 5 hrs? Must have been a slow day. I complained so they took $100 off. My bill was $463 with the discount but I still feel overcharged. The company that made my motorhome mistakenly wired my inverter to the discharge side so I was hoping French's would install the new one to the charge side but they didn't know how to do it. So now I have to go to someone else to have it done correctly. Won't be back. Definitely would not recommend. read more

Where are full time R V, And we had a soft spot in our bathroom floor because I had fallen in their in fallen on the toilet and it broke the Connection at the top of the Tank. The floor started getting softer so we felt like we needed to call someone that has a good reputation, Originally we thought it was just removing the softwood and putting in New wood better wood, but because our Keystone Cougar is built with thin plywood and Styrofoam floors, in was way more involved than originally thought, 20 hours of labor, they replaced the wood on the floor as well as welded steel support underneath, and also used resin for strength. Many shops wouldent have tackled this job, not without leaving our rig for weeks or months, now all is well, floor is absoulty solid, they even got our original vinyl back down, cant even tell where they had to cot it out to get to the wood, Dan even gave us a generous discount which we truly appreciate! If you need anything repaired on your RV or camping trailer, and you're in the Cottonwood area, there is no better place than A-1 RV Repair. I live in Phoenix, and over the last three years, I've brought my camping trailer up to get a variety of repairs, over any repair shop close by in Phoenix. I had the wheel bearings packed, the propane regulator replaced, and just today, had to have a kitchen drain pipe repaired, which meant the refrigerator and the stove had to be pulled out to access the split pipe. Every bit of repair work has been timely, completely fixed, and reasonably priced. What a great thing it is to discover a competent, honest shop that I can depend on every time I need work done on my rig. Dan and April are great!! read more

On 10/13/19 my daughter and I were in our truck camper on our very first day of vacation. Inadvertently we drove under a low overhang and destroyed our Air Conditioner. Facing hot weather on our trip, we were terribly distraught and wondering if we should halt our journey when we drove into French's RV Center! We were greeted by Doug French and after an assessment, we were reassured the new a/c would be ordered that day and installed the next! In the morning, we dropped off the camper and toured the beautiful Sedona area in our rental car. When we returned that afternoon, our camper and the new a/c was ready and waiting as promised! The service was spectacular! In addition, Mr. French was thoughtful and kind which went a very long way to reassuring us! Of interest, we were so thankful for our new a/c as it kept us warm and toasty when we ran into a huge snow storm and temperatures in the teens not the hot weather we had anticipated!
