I came here during Culinaria's Restaurant Week, I made reservations online. The servers were very warm and friendly. I was walked straight to my reserved seat. The server ensured that I had all I needed to enjoy my meal. The food was served fairly quick. I really enjoyed the Hawaian Ono and Karai Octopus. I'd love to come back and try more entrees and take advantage of their happy hour!

Love this place. Our food was fresh. Service was superb. The ambience was excellent. We shared all of our food and ordered multiple appetizers and dishes. We did go on a Sunday. They had happy hour all day. Happy hour included wine, sake and appetizers. I thought it was such a great deal. We all loved our creamy miso soup. I would go back just for that. When it came to a table, we all looked at it and were iffy about it, but as soon as we tasted it, we all agreed that it is the best we have had. I will admit I don't remember all of names of the dishes, but the ones I remembered we got were the Hotline crispy gyoza, Pepper fin Miso vongole pasta and Kaisendon. We shared a key lime pie. The Keylime pie slices are little small, but after all our food, we were all full . We did all agree that the Keylime pie was missing the tartness we expect from Key lime. We were celebrating my birthday and they gave me a free glass of champagne. I wasn't expecting that, but it was a nice touch. They do have a record player with records available for you to choose from that they can play for you. The restaurant is located below Silos next to Orangetheory. If you don't know where it is at, it will take you a while to find it. It doesn't have a good sign. Parking is available, but shared with the other businesses. We had no issue finding parking

This place is so nice, I had to dine here twice in a 2 week span! If you've never been, highly recommend the tasting menu to try a variety of items. My favorite have been the gyozas, chicken karaage, gnocchi and Wagyu teriyaki. Service was also great both times. I'll definitely be back!

What a wonderful Japanese restaurant with the freshest fish! I came in for a work dinner and was absolutely blown away! I will be honest I was initially intimidated by the menu because the names of the dishes were not what I was used to, but everything was incredible. I appreciate our waiter immensely because he was super patient and didn't rush us. I am a slow eater and being allowed to order and discover this menu was just what I needed. Every dish was honestly amazing. Usually at places there will be a star dish and I felt everything we ordered was stand out! The fish is extremely fresh, the sauces the dishes are paired with are bursting with flavor, and for the times that are cooked, like the octopus, they couldn't have made it better. The interior is simple and elegant and they have a vinyl record player with large speakers that give a great vibe to the place. Not to mention iron their taste in music really makes this place intimate even with the high ceilings. If you haven't been, stop by it's worth every hype and photo you've seen!

Everything was wonderful, and I mean everything. The waiter was attentive and gave great recommendations! The restaurant was dark and romantic, perfect for a date night. Everything we ate was so delicious. The quality of the food and the presentation were 10/10. I can't wait to go back and try the other dishes. Yozora did not disappoint!

So if this place was in the heart of SA they'd have to cut they're prices in half and probably couldn't compete, the only reason this quality of food exists at these prices is because it's across from the dominion. Drink options are awful unless you're a Sake Connoisseur but who is, they don't have liquor, how do you open up something this high end and not have liquor license? When you walk in, this Japanese restaurant smells like pizza from silo next door. The first 4 things we ordered to drink were out of stock, waiters seemed clueless and couldn't describe anything properly, he seemed more frustrated to work here than I was to be paying for this food. Wagyu beef here was a joke, it's from a local rancher and was choice beef at best, a small bites took 15 chews before you could swallow it. Leave this place to the rich idiots who have more money than common sense.

Yozora might be one of the most intimate and thoughtfully curated dining experiences in San Antonio. The entire space feels cozy with indoor & outdoor seating. The listening bar concept paired with their state-of-the-art custom sound system makes the atmosphere feel immersive from the second you walk in. The music, lighting, and outstanding service all work together perfectly when you're trying to unwind and decompress after a long week. The lychee martini was smooth, refreshing, and extremely lychee forward. I really enjoyed how they garnished the drink with two whole lychees. I was in heaven and I can honestly say this was one of my favorite cocktails I've had in the city (Thanks for the recommendation Annabelle). Food-wise, everything felt elevated and pieced together beautifully on each plate. The truffle creamy miso soup was warm & comforting with just the right amount of depth and the Asian pear cucumber salad was perfect to cleanse the palate after the soup. The Hawaiian ono was another standout that absolutely delivered. That cilantro oil and the yuzu dance together well with the soft & silky ono. I also really enjoyed the scallop crudo, it also has cilantro oil but this time with ponzu foam. This combination was so good that I absolutely had no shame sipping the married liquid components on the plate between each bite of scallop. Lastly, the wagyu mochi gnocchi is unreal--rich, melt in your mouth mochi gnocchi, savory shrimp and tender wagyu, and this velvety sauce that's semi addicting. This surf-and-turf style dish with seafood and wagyu is where Yozora really flexes; every bite felt balanced, indulgent, and beautifully plated. (This particular evening the sauce on the mochi gnocchi was a touch spicier for me than the first time I visited but I enjoyed every last bite nonetheless). I went a little ham and didn't have room for dessert this time unfortunately. Next time Huge shoutout to my server Annabelle, who made the entire night seamless. My water never even got close to empty, her recommendations were spot on, and she somehow balanced taking care of the bar while still making her tables feel attended to. The rest of the staff even tag teamed service throughout the dining room which I always enjoy seeing. It says a lot about how well the staff and overall concept works together there. Symphony for the soul. Thank you again Annabelle and team for making the whole evening easy to enjoy and adding so much to the experience. Yozora absolutely lives up to the hype. Add it to your list of spots to keep coming back for.

Spectacular. The food is 10/10 and the ambience is not far behind. Everything is beautifully plated and incredibly flavorful. The jazz creates such a unique and chill vibe. It feels intimate without being too formal. Hands down the best restaurant in San Antonio. I'll absolutely be coming back.

We've been twice now and will absolutely be coming back. The vibe of the restaurant is so cool. The food and the service are top notch. The waygu mochi gnocchi was so good I wanted to cry. The octopus was best I've ever had. All of it is so worth it.

Absolutely love this restaurant! We are big fans of Shiro and heard that they had a sister restaurant and I knew we had to check it out. Sunday and Tuesdays they have a happy hour that is super good as well! We ordered a bunch of apps to share around the table. The edamame is so good, I ate almost all of it myself because it's that good. The gyozas are delicious as well. For my main I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento and it was so good, the noodles, the chicken, and the rice was perfectly cooked too. I loved the vibes of the restaurant with different records playing throughout the night. The waitress was super sweet as well. I definitely will be going back soon!

Food was great and I'd come back again for the food. The service was subpar in my opinion. They were gracious to squeeze us in on a busy evening. The waiter was not happy with us ordering more food even though we were still within our time "limit" and he made it quite obvious in his demeanor as we ordered. In addition, we did not receive a dish that we ordered even though it was charged on the receipt. Fortunately, the waiter was able to fix that issue without a fit. Overall, an uncomfortable experience which detracted from the wonderful food

Stopped in recently to finally scratch Yozora off my "to-try" list and I'm so glad I did! I stopped in on a Thursday evening and it was pretty quiet so we had no problem nabbing a table. For starters my friend and I shared the grilled chasu pork belly. Of everything we tried this was probably our least favorite dish (but that doesn't say much because it was still delicious). My friend also ordered the creamy truffle miso soup and YALL. That thing was so delicious that after she let me try it I had to flag down our waitress so I could order a bowl for myself. I would make a trip to the Dominion just for this soup alone and could 100% eat it by the bowlful if that was an option (hint hint Yazora team :P) For our entree my friend and split the large portion of wagyu teriyaki. This was another standout dish that knocked it out of the park for us and we were both fighting over the last bite of steak. It comes served with steamed rice, noodles, tuna, and more! Finally, for dessert we had to try the adorable (and delicious) bear shaped macaroons that come in flavors macha and chocolate. Everything about our experience was wonderful from the service, food, and ambiance. I'll definitely be back again!

Everything just seemed overcooked or old. The Sushi wasn't too different. I ordered a Chirashi Don with "24 pieces" I guess you can creatively cut two micro sized flat, dry, shrimp to make "4 pieces" , but c'mon. All of the pieces were oddly shaped (mangled) cuts of varied sizes and seemed like pretty cheap cuts of fish overall. the Thai Tea was the only "ok" thing I got for the $48 and change I spent, but even that was a little weak and too sweet for my tatse. If you like GOOD sushi or Thai food, I would NOT recommend this place. It was close by and I'd ordered there before and I wasn't expecting much based on my last experience, but this was the worst and enough to ensure I never go back. There are a very rare few decent Thai places in San Antonio, but if they are closed and this is your only option...make the 3 hour drive to Houston instead.

The interior is clean, neat, and colorful, with tables, a bar, and a sushi counter. It has a modern, chic neighborhood feel. They are open for lunch and dinner, and reservations are accepted. We visited on a weekday evening, and the restaurant was nearly at capacity, which was a good indication that it is a popular local spot. The restrooms were clean, and alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, are available. The menu is quite extensive, with both sushi and traditional Japanese fare. There is a separate lunch menu, while the regular menu includes starters, salads, soups, à la carte selections, sushi rolls, rice bowls, signature entrées, ramen, and desserts. Our group ordered a variety of dishes, and there were no complaints about any of the food. Everything was enjoyable. Portions tend to be on the smaller side, and while prices are competitive with similar restaurants, they are somewhat on the higher side. Service was the one area where there was room for improvement. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable, but attention to the table was inconsistent. Beverage refills were not checked on as often as they could have been, and our entrées took a very long time to arrive. On the positive side, we were treated to complimentary ice cream at the end of our meal, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a positive dining experience. The food, extensive menu, attractive atmosphere, and friendly staff make Suko Japanese Cuisine a restaurant worth returning to. With somewhat more attentive service and quicker entrée delivery, the experience could be even better.

After Tuesday visit, the rating remains on 5, but only because we had an amazing time on Sunday. Maybe on Tuesday there was a different chef, but food just didn't taste the same, and a few Sunday dishes we asked for on Tuesday (standard menu) were sold out. Both times I had rice lager specially brewed for the restaurant, and it was delicious. An absolute highlight on Sunday was the dish called Hand of God - the smoky wagyu on top of the rice cake was just an absolute perfection, not anything I had before (this dish was not available on Tuesday). We also had similarly smoky vegetable roll which was also experience in itself. This was my first time at the sushi restaurant where waiter suggested that the nigiri pieces are perfectly ready to eat, require no extra soy sauce or wasabi, and should be picked up by hand instead of chopsticks - another wonderful experience. I also had few different nigiri piece, two different types of mackerel and uni - an absolute wow (on Sunday). Service was good both days, but still a little bit better on Sunday (better recommendations). Definitely recommended.

I would highly recommend making a reservation because every single table had a reserve sign on it. I got to try the gyozas, hamachi, shrimp tempura roll (not on happy hour menu), and various other rolls off the happy hour menu. My favorite was the gyozas and the hamachi. The gyozas had a nice sauce and it wasn't overly sweet. The hamachi tasted fresh and had good flavors. The rolls were not my favorite because they were very wet and not a lot of actual fish. My friend tried the fried fish dish and didn't enjoy it and he never complains about food. Service was odd too; they tried to act as if it was a bougie restaurant but the service didn't quite measure up. I felt a little rushed and our server wasn't really friendly. One thing we have to say about Wild Goji that is A+++: they have Hitachino yuzu ON DRAFT!! Hitachino is one of our favorite breweries, and we had tried this version when we are in Japan, and could not believe our luck finding it here! It's worth the price of admission alone. As for the food, well, it is what it is. Honestly, it's not terrible, but you can tell you're not getting the creme de la creme (unsurprisingly). We mostly stuck to tuna and salmon, but we did appreciate their spicy garlic edamame (not spicy at all) and their spicy seaweed salad (slightly spicy). We ordered tempura that we had to send back because the sweet potato wasn't fully cooked. Some of the dishes on the conveyer belt definitely looked unappetizing (like the omelet roll) and since we were towards the middle-end of the restaurant, we had to wait a while for food to come our way. Service is minimal, but the atmosphere is boisterous because these kinds of places are fun. We were smart to make a quick reservation on our way from Six Flags because the place was slammed by the time that we left. Three stars, but it'll remain a fond memory celebrating our daughter's 9th birthday.

When the tuna tower arrived the young server asked me something several times which I couldn't hear over the music, so I just nodded. After she smashed the tuna tower, I figured out she was asking if I wanted it mixed. Lol my bad! I actually did not want it mixed but it was delicious anyway.
