Randomly found this place, decently good. It was packed on a Friday night. Food was amazing, fish was fresh. We got sashimi and chirashi don. Next time would just get one or the other and try other rolls. The one we got was delicious! Spacious and attentive waitresses. We enjoyed our time here! If weather is good, sit outside and enjoy the breeze.

I stumbled across this place after the Thai restaurant I originally intended to visit ended up being closed for the day. I was disappointed with their pad thai to say the least. The noodles were overly sauced and there was no hiding the excessive taste and smell of the fish sauce. My husband liked his pad see ew so maybe it was just a one off with my plate. Service was quick and friendly, but don't think I'll be back any time soon.

This was my first visit here. Some friend of mine go regularly and the invited me to join them on a Friday night. When I arrived around 7:30pm it was pretty crowded and kind of loud in the restaurant. Once a large party that was there left, it was much quieter. Nice restaurant overall. Every food we ordered was very tasty! Cheese rolls and fried rice were my favorite. I don't eat sushi, but my friends said the sushi was really good too. I'll be coming back for sure!

Delicious! The best duck curry in Texas. I stand by that. Comfortable and casual environment. Seat yourself. We were immediately taken care of and food was out in less than 15 minutes. As soon as we finished the appetizer (egg rolls), our plates were immediately cleared and food was there. Robust flavors, great service, excellent experience!

I used to visit this restaurant frequently until couple years ago we had a family reunion and choose this restaurant as a place to host over 30 people. All my visits were amazing until that night everything was cold... cooked ahead of time... it was a bit disappointing. I got over it giving them the benefit of the doubt and never went back until recently. Couple of my friends and I decided to meet. I suggested it... and to be honest I was nervous. And yes it proved me that it has changed! All these visits in the past even though they have a mixed menu between Thai and Japanese. The Thai side of the menu was authentic! Not anymore! I was truly disappointed and truly wished I didn't go to keep the old memories of this place! Even my phone is suggesting pictures of food I've had here throughout the years! Which I will attach them for reference. I so wish it goes back the way it used to be!

The food was sooooooo good. I'm impressed. We had crispy pork belly, seaweed salad, Thai rolls, Panang Duck Curry, Pad Se Ew, Pad Thai, and Tempura Vegetable Roll. All excellent.

The service is amazing they are always so kind! it's a small and quaint little restaurant. the food is always amazing and comes out super fast probably less than 10 minutes every time!

Take out through Yelp with an 8$ tip gives me the same exact total.

Really good tasting food here, but man they're starting to steal from you here if you order take out. I ordered two entrees and a sushi roll and it came out to 53 plus a 3 dollar tip for take out. On Yelp it's 48$ , they basically gave them self a 5$ tip and then asked for another tip. Pretty sure that's stealing.

We didn't realize this place was a cousin of Shiro and owned by the same guy until we saw some similarities in their style, layout and menu but nevertheless, the food was still absolutely amazing. Even though the ambiance had some similarities, I'm glad their food options were distinguished because otherwise could have just gone downtown. You cannot go wrong with any of their food options. Highly recommend doing family style so you can get a taste of everything and all the different flavors. We started with the gyoza and calamari which were to die for and were not greasy at all. Pork ssam, wagyu, miso pasta and octopus all brought a little bit of their own element and flare to your palate that it's hard to describe unless you try it. Wagyu was just melt in your mouth delicious. Pork ssam and octopus had their crunchy texture and umami flavors. The miso pasta added a light refreshing touch to balance everything out but don't let it fool ya, the noodles will expand in your stomach. We topped it off with their yuzu cake. Our only disappointment was they were out of their other desserts but nevertheless everyone of us left full and happy. Would come here again.

When I first read about Yozora, I honestly thought it sounded a bit pretentious. Fascinating, but…read morepretentious. Because the idea of music being an actual integral part of the dining experience--not just some kind of background noise--felt a little precious for my taste. I'm glad to admit I was wrong. So let's start with the ambiance and the vibe of Yozora. It's in a fairly non-descript kind of center; not bad but not specially memorable. But the space itself is open and has an air of restrained sophistication. And then there's that hi-fi set up. The music at Yozora really is part of the experience, but it's not intrusive in the way that you'd think. Most of what my dining companion and I heard was 50s and 60s jazz, and it was perfect for the occasion. Sushi and Coltrane are a great mix, and even though we were not far from the hi-fi system, I could hear every word of our conversation, without the need for either of us to raise a voice. Somehow, it's like the music operates on a different frequency from regular table chatter. Suffice to say, the music enhanced the mood and really set a scene for Yozora's chefs to tell some stories. And that, they do really well. We started out with seasonal tempura and miso masu ceviche--ocean trout marinated in miso, soy, and lime juice--that was sublime. But funnily enough, the real star small plate was a truffle creamy miso soup that was earthy and slightly sweet at the same time and was silky in texture. From there, we ordered a series of crudo and battera, each unique in its own way. It was wonderful stuff, accompanied by a rice lager. The kitchen at Yozora is not shy about experimenting with non-traditional flavors and ingredients. Sometimes it works really well; sometimes, not as well, but it's never bad, and the servers actually ask for feedback for the kitchen, which is something I rarely see. Yozora honestly seems to be most concerned with creating a great dining experience, and it does that, from the chefs to the line cooks to the servers (who are helpful and attentive without hovering). The music, the mood, and the menu add up to a memorable experience.

We tried making reservations but the website said there were no reservations available. We decided to go and wait, knowing there were other good options nearby if the wait was too long. The restaurant was practically empty!! Started with appetizers of gyoza and iko karaage. The gyoza were good but the ika (essentially calamari) arrived barely warm, too heavily breaded, overcooked, and with a sweet sauce that did nothing to enhance the dish in any way. DH got a chicken katsu dish he enjoyed. I got a crispy chicken yuzu noodle that turned out to be a poorly executed chicken piccata. All the elements of chicken piccata were there, minus the balance of a good chicken piccata. So much garlic. Not good. An order of nigiri was also just ok for $16. I ordered unsweetened iced tea with sweetener on the side. All they have is an off brand pink packet. The tea didn't even taste like tea. It was brown sweet water. For over $100 for the two of us, we'll just stay closer to home for better and cheaper, next time.

After Tuesday visit, the rating remains on 5, but only because we had an amazing time on Sunday. Maybe on Tuesday there was a different chef, but food just didn't taste the same, and a few Sunday dishes we asked for on Tuesday (standard menu) were sold out. Both times I had rice lager specially brewed for the restaurant, and it was delicious. An absolute highlight on Sunday was the dish called Hand of God - the smoky wagyu on top of the rice cake was just an absolute perfection, not anything I had before (this dish was not available on Tuesday). We also had similarly smoky vegetable roll which was also experience in itself. This was my first time at the sushi restaurant where waiter suggested that the nigiri pieces are perfectly ready to eat, require no extra soy sauce or wasabi, and should be picked up by hand instead of chopsticks - another wonderful experience. I also had few different nigiri piece, two different types of mackerel and uni - an absolute wow (on Sunday). Service was good both days, but still a little bit better on Sunday (better recommendations). Definitely recommended.

I would highly recommend making a reservation because every single table had a reserve sign on it. I got to try the gyozas, hamachi, shrimp tempura roll (not on happy hour menu), and various other rolls off the happy hour menu. My favorite was the gyozas and the hamachi. The gyozas had a nice sauce and it wasn't overly sweet. The hamachi tasted fresh and had good flavors. The rolls were not my favorite because they were very wet and not a lot of actual fish. My friend tried the fried fish dish and didn't enjoy it and he never complains about food. Service was odd too; they tried to act as if it was a bougie restaurant but the service didn't quite measure up. I felt a little rushed and our server wasn't really friendly. Interior is nice though.

But hey, this is what the birthday girl wanted, so this is what she got. We came here after a full day at Six Flags, starving, and hunger definitely made for the best sauce. One thing we have to say about Wild Goji that is A+++: they have Hitachino yuzu ON DRAFT!! Hitachino is one of our favorite breweries, and we had tried this version when we are in Japan, and could not believe our luck finding it here! It's worth the price of admission alone. As for the food, well, it is what it is. Honestly, it's not terrible, but you can tell you're not getting the creme de la creme (unsurprisingly). We mostly stuck to tuna and salmon, but we did appreciate their spicy garlic edamame (not spicy at all) and their spicy seaweed salad (slightly spicy). We ordered tempura that we had to send back because the sweet potato wasn't fully cooked. Some of the dishes on the conveyer belt definitely looked unappetizing (like the omelet roll) and since we were towards the middle-end of the restaurant, we had to wait a while for food to come our way. Service is minimal, but the atmosphere is boisterous because these kinds of places are fun. We were smart to make a quick reservation on our way from Six Flags because the place was slammed by the time that we left. Three stars, but it'll remain a fond memory celebrating our daughter's 9th birthday.

I wanted some of the showier selections seen on IG, so I ordered the tuna tower and flaming Romeo & Juliet roll and a cute (albeit sweet) cocktail that came in a goldfish shaped glass. When the tuna tower arrived the young server asked me something several times which I couldn't hear over the music, so I just nodded. After she smashed the tuna tower, I figured out she was asking if I wanted it mixed. Lol my bad! I actually did not want it mixed but it was delicious anyway. The Romeo and Juliet roll took forever to stop flaming but once it died down, it was absolutely delicious. My partner enjoyed his roll as well and they gave him a complimentary birthday desert with sparklers. Overall I give service a 3. I love the design of the restaurant and felt like I was transported to another place and another time! Service - 3/5 Everyone here was extremely kind!! It's a family run place which is super cool and I got some good tips on what to order. My rating is low because - I don't know what happened - but my food took over 30 minutes to arrive and I didn't get any updates of what the issue was - the person next to me who ordered much later got food at the same time as me and we ordered something similar so it was pretty frustrating to me / I think maybe there was a mistake with my order? Idk seemed like a weird situation. Also I wasn't offered any tea which apparently came with what I ordered until the end of my meal, I love tea and wish I could've enjoyed it sooner! Food- 3/5 The food was good although i think too much / too big! I ordered the nigiri which I love - but the fish was wayyyyy too large for the rice. It's not a bad problem to have per se, but I think it made me trying to eat it very awkward. You can't just put the nigiri piece in your mouth, way to much fish for this. I was trying to cut it to the size of the rice with my chopsticks lol. I think it's better to have the correct ratio on this, even though more fish is awesome. Also, I had one piece of fish that kind of had a vein / something tough in it - so that was disappointing considering I got 5 pieces for ~45$ and I didn't really eat one of them for this reason. The miso soup was probably the best part lol- I am pretty particular and have had some amazing sushi , so am a bit harsh on this but mainly just think they should fix the sizing of the portions so you can eat it how you're supposed to. Overall: 3.5/5 I think I'd give this place another try. I wouldn't order the nigiri again, but I'd like to try some other items they offer. I think I had an unfortunate experience here, so willing to give it another go.
