This is a great place for a family celebration. We were a party of 10 on three separate checks, and they took good care of us. My brother in law recommended #65 with Shrimp, and it was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meals. If you are ordering margaritas, you had better do so at the beginning. We ordered ours mid-meal and they never arrived. I will definitely go back! read more

A OK place to stop for drinks. It doesn't seem very "clean" in my opinion. I think it would be a much more appealing establishment if they would deep clean and update some things. Maybe there's a second Yucatan Restaurant in Coshocton that is good, I don't think so but I'm genuinely confused by all the good reviews! I wanted chips and salsa so bad, the restaurant is adorable, looked fairly clean, I had high hopes! The salsa was tomato paste, or pizza sauce, definitely NOT like any salsa I've ever tasted!!! We decided to just share a nacho supreme with beef, the meat was a color I'd never seen in ground beef, looked more like turkey, the nacho's were bland, only came with cheese, the cheese sauce, meat and lettuce, no taco sauce and I definitely wasn't putting that nasty pizza salsa on it!! The service was mediocre at first, then the server disappeared!! Marietta Ohio has so pretty good Mexican restaurants y'all should come down and try them because I don't think people know what good Mexican is up there! read more

Second time there in the last couple months... food was cold, taste like it was cooked with a pound of salt. Had a 20 dollars off because the last time I was there they messed the whole order up and had me wait an hour and a half... should have just let them keep the money... and to the girl that works up front, you could definitely learn to be more personable and manners. Oh, wow.. I do love Mexican food but this one was horrible. Guys, salsa and guacamole can be made fresh/semi fresh in September. What I had didn't even remind of it's taste. Guacamole was clearly out of bag, thin consistency, tasteless. (Looked horrible) No choice of tortilla, really?! No hot souce. Mmm, salsa was thin tomato concentrate.? Not even sure what it was. This is as authentic Mexican as it gets. After eating in many Mexican restaurants in Southern California, I'd rather eat here, at the Yucatan! They make the best tortilla's and salsa, which everyone gets as soon as they are seated. Then comes the Margarita, which is so addicting that my niece said she wished they had a drive-thru window! Yea, that would go over well, drive thru for open-container alcohol beverages! LOL! Si Señor! This place is good! Stopped by here with a couple of my good buddies on a lunch break, and was pleasantly surprised. The service is quick and efficient. This is your typical Mexican restaurant and has all the goodies you would hope. The chimichanga was great, not overly fried. The chicken fajitas looked like a huge portion and I would get that next time! The Huevos con chorizo also looked really good. Great lunch specials! Margs only $2.50 at lunch! Wow! The Yucatán has been in business in town for 20 years and are a staple of the community. The food is authentic, the service is great, and their salsa is the best around! My only complaint is that a lot of the food (enchiladas, burritos, etc.) is clearly heated up because they come out piping hot, plate and all, but hey I still get enchiladas every time! I have only been to Mexico once and that was to Tiajuana, so I really don't know what "authentic" Mexican food is. I don't know if the Yucatan serves authentic Mexican food or not, but whatever they serve, is very good. I have eaten at this restaurant at least once a week for the past 7 years. Between me and my friends, we have consumed over 1500 meals. Probably closer to 2000 meals. The meals have always been good, the service excellent and no one has ever gotten ill because of the food. I believe it is the best restaurant in Coshocton. The salsa is probably made at the restaurant. I would guess it is made with canned tomatoes pulsed in a food processor with seasoning and spices added. Typical of many Mexican restaurants of this type. Chips are ok. I really like the beans and the rice is also very nice. My favorite meals are #25 and #44. I usually have leftover for lunch the next day. It might not be "real" Mexican food, but it sure beats Taco Bell. read more

Went on a recommendation so lets start out with the positive's Décor was typical for Mexican places in Ohio with the carved chair's and booth benches, The salsa was some of the best around. It's to bad the food we ordered Fajita's had zero taste, tamales had BBQ sauce over them have lived in Mexico and never had food like this. The decor was nice enough. The 2 year old loved the train. Served salsa and chips. Salsa tasted like canned crushed tomatoes with cilantro. No spice or jalepeno at all. Twice they tried to serve us food that wasn't ours. Our first order was for the 2 year old and we ordered it off the child 10 and under menu. My husband even pointed to it on the menu and the waiter nodded his head. When our food came, they didn't send it and in fact the waiter came to the table and couldn't find the order on his ticket. The 11 and 13 year old ordered tacos off the ala carte menu and they were alright. My husband ordered a dish with mole sauce on it. The plate was warm but the dish was cold and bland. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla and the shrimp were dry and rubbery and I ran into something gritty. If you like mexican food with no spiciness or peppers, I guess it'd be alright but seems to me they have a lot of work to do to get things right there. We won't be back. read more
