If you're looking for a place that's clean, comfortable, historic, and affordable, stop scrolling…read more-- this is it! The rooms are spotless, the beds cozy, and everything feels freshly maintained. It's also in a great central location, close to restaurants and local sights but still peaceful and relaxing. What truly sets this hotel apart is Crystal. She's a gem! Crystal is knowledgeable about the town's history, knows where to find the best local food, and takes the time to share fun stories and recommendations. You can tell she genuinely cares about making your stay perfect. This hotel combines small-town hospitality with first-class service, and thanks to Crystal, it feels more like visiting family than staying at a hotel. Five enthusiastic stars! PS - as an added benefit, they have Roku TVs and subscribe to most services (including HULU live TV) so you can watch Sunday Night Football as we did last night. A big plus!!!

When I got to the Almara around 11:30 pm, via motorcycle, I followed the instructions, and found no key in the wicker basket and someone staying in my room. I called Jodi, the remote clerk, and she said the property managers were too tired to be bothered. This after riding over 1000 miles from Los Angeles. She stated she would refund my money and to get a room at another motel. NO HELP, AT ALL. Luckily the Palomino across the street is open 24 hours with on-site management. The Almara burned me and did nothing to fix the situation. The Almara sucks. Still waiting on my refund also. FYI GO TO THE PALOMINO.
