Dr Matt rocks his office! I've had many dentists over the years, and he is by far the most personable and empathetic dentist I've ever had. I very much appreciate how he explains all of my options to me, and narrates what he's doing as he does it, which eliminates nearly all of my anxiety. Heather is my most excellent hygienist. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Matt is willing to listen to patients. He placed a cap for me today and I told him it felt tight and I felt pressure on teeth beside it. Even though he said it looked good he listened to me and took the cap out and did a little grinding on it. When he reinserted it there was a world of difference. I thanked him for listening! BEWARE OF DR. REHAK: I would like to start off by saying I have not been here myself and I am posting for a friend because they are not up to date with technology. To start off the visit, Dr rehak did not address himself when he walked in the room and was not able to explain treatment very well and seemed like he was getting frustrated because of how many questions were being asked. He did some fillings on my friend awhile ago and there teeth have not been right since. During the procedure he was not friendly and was getting very flustered. I went with my friend to another office and the doctor stated that the fillings were not done properly and needed to be re-done. Since they were done elsewhere they had to pay out of pocket. I cannot comment on Dr Matt as a doctor but I will say I think he needs to have better judgment on who he allows to work for him read more

One of the best dental experiences I've had in a very long time. I honestly can't say enough good things about this dental office. Every staff member is wonderfully nice! They made me feel extremely comfortable. The endodontist that did my root canal was the best I've ever encountered he was extremely kind and caring and it exuded from him. The dental assistants are some of the best always checking in to make sure you're comfortable. The dentist there actually listen and you can tell they care. wow! Im so impressed with this place in every way possible. I found them when I was in serious pain and they got me in the same day. Dr Matthew diagnosed the issue, and sorted me out with antibiotics till I had the root canal 2 weeks later by a specialist, Dr Amit, who was equally amazing. NO pain! no pain the day after or since. I barely noticed it, and it was a 2 hour root canal. its been a week now and Im fine. the girls in the office are awesome, friendly, and they took covid precautions seriously. This is now my new dentist, I was going ton one in LA, but I will drive here for dental work no problem, thanks everyone on staff! costs were reasonable too ! read more

Very pleased with my 1st time experience. Dr. Matt was friendly, efficient, and gentle. Dental assistant Jascinda was funny, fast, and so good at explaining each step. Hygienist Talia was good at performing my cleaning and easy going. Let me start off by saying I have pretty bad anxiety around visiting the dentist which usually results in me avoiding default visits. With that being said, my visit to YV dental group was the best I've experienced! It was my first time with this dentist as I recently moved to the area. Everyone was so nice and the dental assistant working with me (sorry, I'm horrible with names) was amazing! With all the xrays, cleaning, and seeing the dr i was in and out in less than an hour and a half which is really impressive to me considering visits to other dental offices usually resulted in at least 20-30 mins of waiting just to be taken to a room. My experience here made me less hesitant to visit the dentist. I really appreciate the kindness and professionalism I received. read more

Dr. Matt de la Rionda is AMAZING. I have severe dental anxiety (and anxiety in general) as well as a very rare medical syndrome that has negatively impacted my overall health, including my oral health. Most dentists, when I try to explain to them about my condition and if there is a way to have it go through my medical insurance, stop listening or interrupt or simply don't care. He actually listened to me and said he'd talk to the insurance person in the office about it (still waiting on that person). He was very kind and sympathetic about my anxiety, understood that as a natural redhead it takes more medicine and/or longer for any type of anesthesia to work, and hated causing me any pain. If you go to this group, I would definitely recommend schedule with him. Now, the reason I gave it only 4 stars is because of my 54-second phone call after a very extensive extraction. It was roughly two hours after and I was still bleeding pretty bad plus I was very nauseous. I called the office to ask how long I should be bleeding and what I could do for nausea. Without asking any follow-up questions, the receptionist said two hours and to "just stop taking the medication". Now normally I would have left it alone but after bleeding for 5+ hours (changing the gauze every 20 minutes) and vomiting, I was a little "uptight". Now, two days after the fact, still in extreme pain even with OTCs, I'm nervous to even call and ask if they could prescribe an NSAID (like tramadol. Something that's not a narcotic but a little more than a Tylenol or ibuprofen) because I'm afraid that I'll be blown off and dismissed again. All in all, Dr. Matt and his dental hygienist are AMAZING, the receptionist I spoke with could improve on her bedside manner. read more

My reason for this is not based on the quality dental of services; it is the honesty and integrity of this practice. Run if you are told they have to do a thorough exam to determine the "extent" of the cleaning needed; meaning, a deep cleaning is very invasive and extremely expensive...great if your insurance will cover it, but it is most definitely not warranted as often as it is advised. I had excellent care/cleaning right at 6 months ago and extensive x-rays taken 1 yr ago, both done elsewhere as I am traveling right now. A very young man ahead of me was asked to sign a consent form due to his need for a "deep" cleaning..he was young!!? I was told my x-rays were of poor quality and too old therefore a full set and pano were needed..at only $347, whereas if I had gone with their dental plan it would only be $279. Folks, my brother is a dentist and just retired after more than 30 years..his practice considered the best in the county..and I worked years as an Office Mgr for an orthodontist; I know the lingo, the industry, and when things are just not right. Left with a very disappointed and angry feeling that we, at times, are at the mercy of people who run their business this way. I walked out. read more

After years of having bad experiences with dentist office I was worried about going and wasting my money on being tortured, but after the first visit to Yucca Valley Dental Group I no longer dread going in for a visit. The staff is amazing and very caring. DR. MATT is very attentive to your needs and really seems to care about his patients. Visit was pleasant and even after the numbing worn off I felt fine, and even receive a call from Dr. Matt the next dsy to make sure everything was ok, since I was in bad shape before visit. I had a rigid tooth he filed down and a filing that needed maintenance. This was the most pleasant "cavity" experience I've had. Every part of my visit was great and all the staff was amazing and very courteous, from the front desk to the doctor. I arrived early to my first appointment with their office and was taken back early! They immediately got to work with the xrays (new machine that's all digital and very fast), exam, etc. They walked me through every step and relieved any anxiety. The girls did everything to help make me comfortable, even the little things that go above and beyond to make my experience that much better. Dr. Cummings was great, down-to-earth and approachable. He explained everything to me in a friendly, simple manner. He was easy to talk to and made me feel at ease. There was one point where I reacted to one of the meds I received (my body's fault, not their fault at all), and they reacted quickly and efficiently and made sure that I would not receive that medication again when I came back. I went to this dentist because I needed an extraction. they made an appointment for me with the dental surgeon that is only there 1 time a month. I told everyone in The office that I had anxiety and some other health problems that concerned me with taking any anesthesia. They all assured me that things would be fine. I had to wait over 2 weeks in pain. On the day of my appointment the dentist came in. I explained to him that I was sensitive to the Novocaine or whatever medication they used to numb your mouth. He did not waste any time getting out of the room and telling me that he would not perform the extraction because I was to anxious. I begged him to take out the tooth but he just walked out and would not come back. The office manager let me know he sees 20 patients on average when he comes here That day a month. I felt like a number and like I was being punished for having anxiety. I paid in advance and I agreed they could apply it to the next cleaning visit. So, today I get a call WHILE I Am WORKING a and they leave a message that says if I don't call to confirm tomorrow's appointment it will be cancelled!!! This is horrible service. read more
