There is a lack of knowledge within the front desk staff at all times. Lead teachers are the ONLY ONES who are listened to. Also, they rotate teachers in and out of classrooms right after they bond with the children and really connect with them on a personal level, even meeting their families and getting to know their quirks/strengths. This leads to straight chaos and disorganization.

Surprisingly, in 1998 at Buchanan, there were 4-5 other Vietnamese kids, and there was an ESL class reserved for those who didn't speak English. The best thing about elementary school was the "extra" recess where we would play outside for hours on end. We would often watch movies and drink ice cream floats on special occasions. For some reason, I thought the cafeteria pizza was the best pizza because it was very "doughy."
