That's not a critique, it's just what it is. You'll be greeted by a friendly face at the door and shown to your table. I recommend reservations. We started with the nachos and they are outstanding! There are many great appetizers but this has been my favorite over the years. A few of us also got a small Caesar salad. I had the Teriyaki glazed chicken with rice pilaf. It's a wonderful bite but the rice was not as hot as I'd like. My husband got the Chicken Caesar Salad and found it delicious. Several diners chose the Medallions Dianne with various sides. No one uttered a single complaint and there was no room left for dessert which is high praise. My only real complaint is that we were seated next to the door leading into the bar. Smoking is still allowed in the bar and since all alcoholic beverages are made there the swinging door was very active, giving me a blast of smoke filled air far more than I'd like. If cigar or cigarette smoke is an issue for you then ask to be seated away from that swinging bar door.

I'm also really a fan of the mushrueben- which is a Vegan option made with portobello mushrooms. Super unique, and man is it good. I also love that little platter of pickles and green tomatoes they give you here. So great to just snack on them or add them to your sandwich. They give you plenty to do both. You'll pay a bit more here than an average sandwich shop, but the food quality, nice dining room and friendly service make it all worth it.
